Must stop if you’re a beer drinker in Paris, the only place I was able to find a craft beer. Food isn’t great but is fine. 4 stars for the beer.

C’est un bon fish & chips je pense, le poisson était assez bon et les frites aussi.
La bière blanche va bien avec.

Short review: Nothing wrong with this if you are looking for a Pub in Paris.
Long (er) review: The Frogpubs are a chain of Pubs with (so far) 7 Installments in Paris (and 2 in other French Cities), mainly catering to English speaking clientel. They brew their own beers and offer typical pub-​food. The Beers are a bit hit and miss for me. The Food isn´t exiting but competently made. The staff were really nice the two times I have been there at the Rue Saint-​Denis Incarnation of Frogpubs.
Atmosphere-​wise — it is just a pub. It´s not particularly charming or innovative. Some wood tables, some wood chairs, some football on the telly. It´s a pub. Not the greatest thing ever, nor terrible. Sit down, have a beer, watch football, eat a burger. It´s not fancy, it´s nothing special — just a pub. And there is nothing wrong with that.

A great place for a proper pint. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the wait staff is very friendly. A great place to watch a game and hang out with friends.

A great pub for the football– went for the arsenal Chelsea match yesterday. That being said– it gets proper rammed really quickly so get in a good hour before kick off if you want a table. Nice beers on draft at reasonable prices– I had a cheeky IPA which went down a treat at about 6.50 — if i remember rightly! The food is good and filling! Got a sharer platter at 17.50– great for 2 people (or one if you’re a fatty) ;)

Une ambiance bien anglaise règnait dans The Frog & Rosbif en ce dimanche après-​midi pendant les deux match de Premier League. Beaucoup de Britanniques dans la salle, quelques tables de français libérées une minute à peine la fin du match sonnée (une attitude typiquement française selon nos voisins de table…;)) Enfin, il y a de l’ambiance dans ce grand bar, un bon choix de bières, certaines très originales. On avait pris une assiette à partager pour 18,90 €, l’assiette bien grasse avec des batons de mozza frits, des oignons frits, des chicken wings frites (oui, beaucoup de friture!) et des quesadillas. C’était plutôt bon, pas d’une grande finesse, mais parfait pour l’objectif de l’après-midi! Bref, un bon rendez-​vous pour un jour de match!

Quoi Frog 4 étoiles, mais que se passé-​t-​il, les bières sont coupées à l’eau ou tout comme, c’est bruyant, c’est gras et lourd, ils passent des matchs sur grands écrans et on né s’entends plus.
Oui, et en plus c’est pas donné d’un point de vu qualité /​prix.
Mais ça reste une chaine assez emblématique sur Paris, pour moi.
J’aime bien la déco, les tables en bois qui collent un peu (si si quand même)
la bière «brune» qui ressemble à de la Guinness coupée à l’eau mais qui passé bien avec qq. onion rings (qui pour le coup, eux, né sont pas trop gras :)
Bref, le Frog, les Frogs, on apprécie ou pas leur ambiance, mais elle a le mérite d’être identique dans chacun d’entre eux :)

je n’étais pas super chaud pour déjeuner dans un pub, mais contre toute attente les fish and ships étaient parfaits et le service impeccable. petit bémol toutefois sur les frites, qu’on aurait aimé un poil plus authentiques…

Nous avons mange un burger a cet endroit et sincèrement, je trouve le prix des burgers un peu cher compare a d’autre qui sont bien meilleurs !
Les bières né sont pas mauvaises mais la encore rien d’exceptionnel et manquait de pression!
En bref une chaîné qui vous permet de manger sur le pouces mais a refaire je choisirais un restaurant plus cosi qui le servira quelque chose de meilleur pour le même prix! Un peu déçue …

Alors oui, j’aime les différents pubs Frog de Paris. Parmi les bières qu’ils font j’en apprécies deux ou trois (dont leur Dark).
Et en plus le fish and chips est vraiment bon.

Idéal pour se retrouver en amis amateurs d’une bonne bière. Le plus reste les bons plats — pas très diététiques toutefois — qui ont un bon rapport qualité /​prix.
L’atmosphère entraîné les anglophiles à y revenir le plus rapidement !

Terrible music, ok beer, overpriced food, I don’t see what people like about the Frogs.

Je né connaissais pas cette enseigne, je n’ai pas été déçu !
C’est vraiment un sports’bar /​pub sympa. Entre les bières brassées sur place (la ginger est eeeeeeeexcelente !) et les burgers avec leur moelleux petit pains, vous y trouverez votre bonheur, c’est certain !
Pour ma part, je né regarde ni le foot, ni le rugby, et j’ai adoré… C’est vous dire !
Pour résumer: un lieu chaleureux et sympa, dans lequel on boit de la bière et on mange gras… Love it !
Mention spéciale pour la formule boisson chaude + pâtisserie à 6,50 entre 15:00 et 17:00… Parfait pour un petit réconfort lors des froides après-​midis d’hiver !

Pour de bonnes bières entre amis.
Il y a au moins 5 Frog à Paris (pour l’instant). Je classe celui la est dans la catégorie tranquille et bien pour regarder les matchs ! Bonne hauteur de plafond ou l’on né sent pas à l’étroit. Les bières fabriquées sur place (ou pas loin, cela va changer je crois…) sont excellentes. Il y a du goût, du vrai ! Je suis fan de la Ginger Twist avec son imperceptible goût de gingembre et une note citronnée. Désaltérante comme il faut. Pour une deuxième, je prend souvent une Inseine, une rousse légère et parfumée. Les pichets sont intéressant si vous prenez plusieurs pintes
La nourriture est ici grasse mais nourrissante ! C’est l’endroit idéal pour l’apéro ou pour un dîner léger, à partager des assiettes de nachos ou autre.
N’oubliez pas votre carte de fidélité ! Après avoir bu 30 pintes, on vous offre un pichet !

Tout d’abord je tiens à dire que je né connais pas les autres frog de paris mais que celui-​ci je le connais tout particulièrement. Le quartier est un des plus vivant et cosmopolite de la capitale selon moi (mais je né connais pas tout). J’y viens régulièrement pour l’ambiance surtout le vendredi et samedi soir (ou il est préférable de réserver si vous souhaitez une table). La bière fait maison peu en laisser certain récalcitrant car elle dépend pas mal des dosages qu’ils font et d’un fut à l’autre on a quelques surprise. Mon conseil: demander des testeurs pour voir le goût des bières et vous décider pour un bon pichet (avec les shots de parfum différents). N’hésitez surtout pas à remplir votre carte de consommation: 25pintes achetées (ou 5 pichets)=1 pichet offert, oui ca semble peu mais lors de sorties entres amis ca va vite quand même (et surtout c’est un cadeau qu’il serait con de né pas prendre)
L’ambiance y est très bonne avec une majorité d’anglophone (et principalement les serveurs et serveuses) qui chantent à tue tête les soirs de match.
La nourriture quand à elle est tout à fait satisfaisante pour des prix abordable dans un pub se trouvant dans ce quartier (le burger est à tomber et en XL il faut avoir faim). Pour les autres plats je né peux pas trop vous conseiller.
Les seuls bémols de ce pub sont principalement :
1) la place (oui c’est vite plein et les bancs fixes n’aide pas à mieux organiser)
2) Les toilettes qui sentent rarement la rose (pourtant c’est l’emblème anglais non ?). Au début je pensais que c’était en soirée avec les litres de bière qu’il faut éliminer mais même à 12 dans le bar ce n’est pas agréable.)

Un bon pub à l’anglaise. Déguster une bonne bière sur des airs rock et folk anglo saxon. Profitez aussi du brunch le dimanche. Typiquement anglais et excellent !

Moi, j’aime bien le «Frog & Rosbif»
C’est un pub pur style britannique,
Qui fait illusion, ambiance efficace et typique,
Avec matchs de foot ou rugby, en direct ou rediff’.
Il faut savoir pourquoi on y passé :
— boire une bière brassée sur place
(les cuves sont au sous-​sol, on va jeter un bref coup d’oeil, on ose)
— manger un brunch gore (avec une base de salade et patatoes,
tarifs des brunchs: de 12 et 14 euros environ)
— suivre un match dans une ambiance de malade
Bref, le «Frog», vous y trouverez votre bonheur. Parions :)
Le service est jeune, rapide. Si vous avez de grandes jambes, certaines tables
Sont un peu à l’étroit. Donc toutes les places né sont pas confortables.
Le bémol évident qui me fait le priver d’une étoile :
Le bruit même quand le dimanche midi, c’est sensé être plus calme.

Un pub à l’Anglaise
Un authentique pub à l’Anglaise: le comptoir, le parquet en bois, les tables, tout y est. Il me semble même avoir aperçu la petite clochette annonçant la fermeture. C’est un lieu très animé surtout les soirs de coupes du Monde et les jours de matches en général. Vous y trouverez de nombreuses bières anglaises. Un reproche toutefois, le prix qui lui n’est pas anglais (en Angleterre, la bière est très bon marché dans les pubs). Idéal pour passer une soirée sympa entre amis autour d’une pinte.

Very nice beers. I like the dark de triomphe and the Maison Blanche. The burgers are quite good and the early afternoon kids menu is really nice.

Pub anglais situé dans le 2ème. Nous y avons été le soir et il y avait pas mal de monde. Après un peu d’attente nous avons pu nous installer à une grande table.
On peut y prendre à boire mais également à manger. Leurs cocktails sont assez bons, les prix raisonnables et le service très sympathique. Par contre j’ai trouvé ça un peu limite niveau propreté

You can watch sport games, eat (partnership with surrounding restaurants) and of course dance after 10pm

Used to be an «American Student» bar. Reminded me of an Irish pub disguised as a gastropub in Paris.
Not a bad pit stop for a beer if you are staying close in the area.

First of all, this is the place to go if you need somewhere to watch some kind of sports event in Paris.
It was incredibly busy when I went there because of the Rugby game, but that’s no-one’s fault. The beer here is great, and the best thing about this place is (as a foreigner to France) it’s great for meeting French people who can speak English. I at first was worried about being in a ‘English-​style’ pub in Paris but it just meant I got to interact with French people who were willing to speak English and have a good time.
Cool bar. Expect it to be busy.

Accueil chaleureux, menu sympa et pas cher (13,5e repas complet)
Plat boeuf curry piment sympa et bien présenté (je mets la photo), crumble fruit rouge en dessert.
Avec en prime les bonnes bières brassées par frog.

Un bon pub situé au coin de la rue de Turbigo et de la rue Saint-​Denis! Le cadre est sympa, et rappelle assez bien les tripots sportifs anglais! La carte n’est pas folle, mais dispose quand même de quelques bons classiques!
Les bières, quant à elles, sont bonnes mais pas exceptionnelles! Les tarifs sont corrects, mais le gros atout de ce pub, c’est son équipe de serveurs! Très amicale et sympathique!

Ideal pour les amateurs de sport qui veulent boire une biere et voir un match de rugby.
endroit sympa egalement un dimanche apres midi froid et ou l’on a rien envie de faire, l’ambiance, le monstrueusement enorme gâteau au chocolat, la biere vous font rester tout l’apres midi !

Un frogs parmis les frogs, surement le plus sympa avec le princess.
L’équipe est sympa parfois anglo. saxonne, parle donc généralement aussi bien Anglais que Francais.
Redécoré le pub à perdu de son cachet, enfin question de gout.
Endroit ou se retrouver en after-​work, pour voir un match entre potes ou pour croiser des anglaises de passage.
Les burgers sont top, même si pas donnés.
Pour le principal, la bière même si les noms sont originaux, qu’avec la carte de fidélité on peut avoir un jug offert, elles sont de qualité médiocre
De l’aveu même du maitre brasseur un Anglais très sympa qui gère les différents Frogs, elles sont mauvaises, lui même d’ailleur préfère aller boire un coup dans un bar à bières pas très loin, c’est tout dire.
Pour les soirées Frogs, préferés le Princess

Damn good pub, ale quite dear but exceedingly drinkable well worth the visit

Went here because it was the only place I could find in Paris that was showing the Klitschko-​Haye fight (which incidentally turned out to be a horrible snoozer).
Nice roomy setup with a wall projector and a couple large flatscreens. The bartender was British and you could definitely get by easily here if you didn’t speak French.
The one major drawback was that the only drafts offered are the house brews, which aren’t the best. However, it’s a bar, it showed what I wanted to see, and the service was sufficient, so I’ll go 3.5 stars.

Where to get your English pub fix when in Paris.
The food’s mediocre; the beer’s rather good (with a lot of locally brewed ales on tap); the service pretty good; and the location incredibly central.
With tons of top restaurants and bars in and around the pub’s Montorguei location, it’s a top choice for evening meet ups. The casual atmosphere helps too. It can be difficult to find the right place to gather in Paris when you take into account different people’s tastes and interests. Enter the English pub (if a little watered-​down and kitsched up).

this place is a real actual bar in Paris! and its open late! Being a new yorker really gets you spoiled when it comes to night life and drinking to hang out late. There are really no such thing as a «bar» in paris. Just cafes where you can drink at a table (and no one is really socializing) or some super cheezy mega club where the music is way too loud and people are… dancing? No. I don’t dance, I drink.
So this place is a pretty cool spot to just drink. They have a really good cocktail menu with some very interesting blends. I was in love with their beer cocktails. This was the only bar we could find near the seine so we came back twice!
It’s fairly large, lots of tables, fully stocked bar, mostly students and locals, but they speak english. Most parisiennes do.

I harbor a virulent dislike for chains, which some would say is irrational, but every once in a while a place comes up to prove my theory that chains/franchises/“grandes enseignes” serve no actual purpose other than to make the owners/​shareholders/​corporate sponsors rich. What was once a love of craft or other higher calling becomes mass produced, faceless bullshit.
Case in point: The Frog Pubs.
Their origin story is cute (two MBA students decided to make English-​style beer in France) and their beers are halfway decent –if wildly inconsistent and overpriced –but I’ll never set foot into their establishments again.
Why? Their unapologetically fucktarded service is a strikeout.
Strike one: Some visiting friends from the US wanted to chillax on a balmy Parisian afternoon. We grabbed a table on the terrasse and awaited the server. A couple of jugs were ordered, and we selected a few snacks from the bar menu. «Sorry, the kitchen doesn’t open until 4:00» (I don’t remember the time exactly, but it was the top of the upcoming hour.) «Well, it’s 3:58, could you just take the order?» «No, but I’ll come back in fifteen minutes, ok?» Obviously not mathematically inclined, this young turk. But whatever –the tasty jug of Parislytic and the unfortunately skunky jug of InSeine would hold us over until garçon over here finished his remedial math lesson.
Strike two: 10:45 PM after a long train trip back into Paris. The lady and I decided we could go for some pub food and a cold pint or three. We’re seated and handed menus and given place settings. After some foot-​tapping and grumbling, the waitress returns at 11:05. «Can I take your order?» Finally. «Yes, I’ll have the chicken –» «Sorry, the kitchen closes at 11:00.» «But you. we… but…» «We do still have beer.» «Fuck you. We’re outta here.»
Strike three: Despite previous misgivings, we decided to go back to the Frog because I really wanted beer and my wife really wanted fish & chips. Along with all that, we also got a surprisingly good cheeseburger. The meal was tasty, the blonde beer in a rare state of deliciousness, and we were happy knowing we could burn our Cheques Vacances (essentially, gift certificates). We knew this because we asked the waitress before sitting down if we could spend them there. She said yes, of course they take them! Lo and behold, a shift change occurs during our repast, and upon trying to pay the bill with said Cheques, the new waiter says, «We don’t accept those.» «But I cleared it with the previous waitress.» «Well, she was wrong.» My wife, upset because we specifically went someplace we could use these stupid certificates, gets on her iPhone to email the FrogPubs management to let them know that she’s disappointed with the service, and that she’ll also warn her friends away from coming back. The response? No apology, no pithy «sorry for the confusion,» but rather some snarky line telling us to tell our friends they should bring their credit cards.
Well, I’m telling my 450+ Unilocal friends, 300+ Twitter friends and 350+ Facebook friends (that’s over 1100 friends if you’re as slow on the uptake as the first waiter) just that: Bring your credit cards!
Bring them to The Thistle across the way if you want a classic pub atmosphere with footy on the TV and much faster service. Bring them to La Cave à Bulles maybe 700m away if you want French microbrews that are consistently good. Bring them to Au Trappiste (down Saint-​Denis near Rivoli) for some excellent French and Belgian brews on tap.
As far as the Frog goes, they’re not worth your credit cards or your cash, even if that’s all they’re interested in nowadays.

This was my local during two excellent periods of my life many moons ago. Although I came at a quiet time of the day on this occasion, the Ginger Twist still tasted like possibly the best beer I have ever had and the place still had a great feel to it. Unfortunately some of the pictures of people I knew have been taken down nowbut time goes by, what can you do?
It’s good for football and its good for Saturday nights. English enough to attract expats, but not so one dimensional that locals are put off (this is particularly true during the 6 nations rugby when the pub is half French, half whichever British country they happen to be playing).
I know some people are averse to English or Irish pub in a foreign land. Sometimes I agree but in a place like Paris there are plenty of French bars and cafes if that’s what you want, this place just adds to the choice and the variety on offer.
Negative points? Well the Rue St Denis is a little seedy and the pub gets very busy sometimes, that’s all I can think of.

Well… the name… You have to love the place ! It makes me smile every time :)
Typical pub where you’ll find easy going people. During sunny day, you can even take advantage of their outside tables on a relatively quite street.
Also, it’s a great bar to hang out during soccer games though it might get crowded. I’ve never eaten there but will try soon !

Le Frog a l’avantage d’être toujours ouvert quand je passé devant et d’être situé au milieu de Paris (donc je passé souvent devant).
Le problème, c’est que c’est à chaque fois l’occasion d’aller boire une bière. Vu que les clients à l’intérieur sont toujours en train de picoler, même s’il est 15h, on a envie de faire comme eux. Les happy hours de 17h30 à 20h encouragent pas mal.
Le public est souvent anglais, d’ailleurs les serveurs sont tous anglophones. Je crois que c’est une condition nécessaire au recrutement. Il y a toujours des télés allumées qui retransmettent du sport, j’avoue né jamais avoir regardé ce qui se passait, mais ça met pas mal d’ambiance. En tout cas, ce n’est pas endroit pour un premier rendez-​vous avec une fille. Ou alors c’est bien si on a rien à se dire.
Le pub est assez bon niveau bières, ils ont tout de même trois pressions maison (brune, blonde, rousse) qui sont pas mal.

Au «Frog & Rosbif «, c’est l’entente cordiale ! Ce sympathique pub anglais est l’un des plus connus et fréquentés du centre parisien. L’ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale typiquement britannique caractérise l’établissement, et les fêtes y sont légions ! Ici, les timides né le restent pas très longtemps.
Outré ses soirées endiablées, le «Frog & Rosbif «diffuse de façon régulière les matchs sur grands écrans. Que vous soyez fans de football ou de rugby, le pub en propose pour tous les goûts. Et le chauvinisme n’est pas de rigueur… enfin presque ! L’espace d’un instant, on a même le sentiment d’avoir été téléporté à Londres !

The Frog is an English pub near Les Halles in Paris. It’s the place to be whenever England are playing, whether it’s rugby or football, and the atmosphere during games is superb. It really does feel like a traditional pub. The food isn’t bad either. The beers, most of which are brewed inhouse, aren’t great. Generally, prices are quite high, but they’re worth it for the atmosphere when you want to be among fellow Englishmen.

English-​theme brew-​pub in Paris. This place is the original one in the FrogPubs chain of brew-​pubs in France.
Their beers, which are brewed on the premises, are very good but very expensive. They have a range of six: Frog Natural Blonde, Maison Blanche, Ginger Twist, Inseine, Dark de Triomphe and Parislytic (my favourite is Ginger Twist). I think I paid EUR6 for a pint (yes, they serve it in pint glasses). You can get four-​pint jugs for EUR20 (I think, but not certain), and there is a happy hour. (Prices as of March 2008.) They have fascinating diagram on the wall showing the brewing process.
They also do quite reasonable food, all from a simple, standard menu. The last meal I tried was Chicken Tikka Masala (for some perverse reason I decided to have England’s national dish in Paris instead of trying a French restaurant) it was quite competently done, though there weren’t all the options you’d expect in an English curry house, such as a range of pickles, raita etc. Overall, the food’s got a Wetherspoon’s feel to it, though a bit better done.
I’ve been there five or six times. Most of the customers seem to be French, but a fair number of Brits come in. You will often find a copy of the Sun or the Times left on the window ledge by the bar. When there are TV news reports about Brits/​English in Paris, especially during sporting competitions, they often use this pub as the background.
The toilets (downstairs) are good. Outside are a few tables and chairs if you want to smoke or watch the world go by. My only real gripe is the TVs that constantly showing sports events (Formula 1, tennis, football, rugby). However, usually the sound is off or quite low. Free wi-​fi.
If you stay right to closing time, you can expect to be hurried out (though that’s not unreasonable at something like 01:30 if there’s only two of you and the staff want to get home). The staff are very competent and pleasant, they don’t flinch if you address them in English, and seem comfortable with Brits.

Very studenty
Very studenty English pub. There’s always something going on here, which is cool, and the range of house-​brewed beers is excellent. Gets quite noisy at the weekend, and when there’s football on.
