This travel agency caused me more headache than I had known possible. I was sponsored, with 40 other people, to go to the World Water Forum, and Sydney Travel was in charge of getting us tickets. Weeks passed and nothing. The organizers at the Forum did not know the reason for the delay. I sent many emails to the man responsible, and to his credit, he did eventually get me a ticket the week before I had to leave. For roughly 4x as much as it should have cost. I was a lucky one — many of the invited students never got their tickets and in the end could not go. One girl got her ticket 50 minutes before her flight left. To put icing on the cake, though Sydney Travel had sent me a confirmation for a train ticket to the conference, since evidently they could no get me a flight there, and when I arrived at the station the teller explained to me that reservation had been canceled. So as to not miss an appointment in Marseille, I had to take that train. It cost me $ 200. Did Sydney Travel reply to my email for reimbursement? No. When I called, they asked me to email them again. I don’t know what this place is pulling, but either they have way more work than they can handle in any semblance of a reasonable manner, or they are just incompetent. I don’t want anyone else to suffer like me and my friends did, so, stay away. I feel like so much money was wasted.
