Réciproque

This place was really, really disappointing. As someone who has worked as a vintage and designer resale buyer for the past ten years, I was really looking forward to visiting some of the resale shops in Paris during my last trip abroad.
I went in to Réciproque with my mom, aunt, and cousin, and we all had equally negative experiences. When we walked in, no one said a word, they merely leered at us from across the room and then followed us around the store as if we were about to shoplift at any moment. I would be somewhat more understanding if this were common procedure, HOWEVER, other customers walked in and suddenly these extremely skeptical and silent sales people came to life, greeting and assisting the customers.
My aunt tried on a single sweater as a sales woman stood within one foot of her dressing room, silently. Very strange and uncomfortable.
While, yes, there were a few decent pieces in the shop, a great deal of it was extremely outdated and overpriced. Maybe I just am extremely spoiled here in the U.S., but I couldn’t really find myself getting that excited over a $ 60 Marc by Marc Jacobs blouse from 5 – 8 seasons ago or early 2000s Prada skirts for over $ 100.
Merchandise aside, I was instantly turned off by this place upon walking in the front door. I think it’s incredibly poor customer service to treat some individuals differently than others. There is no way for anyone to know who I am and what kind of money I am looking to spend based on their initial reaction to my appearance.

Hands down, the best luxury vintage store in Paris. In business for 30 years, the store now stretches across 4 separate locations all on the same block — 1 men’s, 1 bags, 1 woman’s clothing and 1 jewelry.
Extensive collection of French luxury designers with the largest inventory of Chanel we had found. The owner could not be nicer and gave us very fair pricing. Like all places in Paris, the more you buy, the more discount you will receive. Don’t expect to get a large discount on one Chanel item.

Not a good shop for men. Selection was petite in size.

Je continue à vous communiquer les bonnes adresses des dépôts-​ventes… Celui-​ci est impressionnant! 700 m2 de mode à prix cassés, quasiment toute une rue de vêtements, de bijoux, d’accessoires… Bref, on pourrait y passer toute la journée!
Pour les femmes, il faut se rendre au 93, 95 et 101, pour les hommes, c’est au 92 (si mes souvenirs sont bons).
Pour les bijoux et les accessoires c’est encore à un autre numéro mais je né me rappelle plus… Mais ce n’est pas très compliqué tout est juxtaposé! Une rue de rêve!

Cette caverne d’ali baba, constituée de plusieurs magasins, permet de trouver des vêtements et accessoires de luxe d’occasion à des prix intéressants. Le choix est impressionnant, même pour les hommes.
