Okay, I literally RAN out of this salon in the middle of him doing my hair. I have long curley hair, it’s about six inches past my shoulders when straight. I asked him for simply a wash & blow dry. THATISIT. I came earlier for my appointment and no one was there, he was finishing up on a woman’s pixie cut and started on me. He took a fine tooth comb to my hair, which you don’t for Curley hair. After one hour I thought it was over and he goes to wash my hair again! Now two and a half hours later I thought he would start and he puts me to wait longer, then tries to «detangle» my hair again. So I left wet hair in the chair and all, then he charges me 40 € for being tortured for three hours because he gave me these extra treatments THAT I DIDNOTASKFOR. All I wanted was a wash and blow dry. He’s telling me I should get a relaxer or textirizer. So, if you have NATURAL hair DONOT come here! It’s for short hair or people who do chemicals. I am an American in Paris. I am a black american in Paris. I want to look hair healthy 24⁄7 but sometimes thats just not possible while traveling, so you have to go to a salon to get a wash, deep condition and blow out/flat iron. Mark is an amazing stylist from Pasadena, California and knows what’s up in the hair industry. This multi ethnic salon has got it all, espresso, candies, sweet shampoo helpers. thanks Igor! They use the top shelf products too. Mark said to me that he was gonna give my short hair a lot of body and most stylists don’t know how to hit it like Mark. One tip would be to make an appointment, I got lucky with a walk in but that certainly is not the norm apparently. I can’t speak to the prices because 1. I suck at conversation and 2. I don’t put a price on beauty. But I can say that it will be worth it.

Great hair stylists, welcoming salon. American Shelley Fox Reed is a master stylist with excellent skills for all types of hair — European, African-American, mixed of all varieties. You will leave looking fabulous! His way with color and cuts is worth a trip to Paris unto itself. He also does relaxers and other types of processes. The salon is nice, they speak both English and French, so do not be afraid to call and book and appointment in English, but do book an appointment. They serve you tea or coffee while you are there. Shampooing assistants are excellent too — it’s like a massage for your scalp. If you just want a wash and style or a complete hair makeover, Mark Clement Coiffure should be your first stop in Paris. Shelley only takes cash, but you can pay with a card if Mark does your hair. I’ve gone several times over the years and have never been disappointed.
