The service was attentive. The food was well prepared and the champagne was bubbly, as it should be. We had the grilled steak and it was impeccable. A must for those tourists looking to dine near the Eiffel Tower.

Lower than mediocre experience. We wanted to grab coffee and crepes — some of the dishes were dirty and crepes came a bit warmed up in the microwave(we saw the waiter putting them there with his bare hands — not that I’m a germophobe, but come on.). The cherry on the top was the Nutella the crepes came with — ‘a nutella mini cup’ i.e. one of these small samples you can get in plastic containers — directly on top of the pancakes — again, not a germophobe, but as one of my friends said ‘How do I know where this plastic box has been in the warehouses somewhere.?’ No one finished their semi-warmed up, very tasteless crepes. The only positive was that although we were done with eating and drinking we stayed there for longer until we decide where to head to and wait for cabs, and no one really cared — no pressure at all.

The place has a charm. Come here for the portion of excellent snails or foie gras or both! It will go perfectly with a glass of wine and do not think for too long about it: just have a host pick it for you!

A small group of us were looking for a restaurant near the hotel that served French cuisine(what? French food in Paris? Crazy I know). This one conveniently showed up a block away. The menu had a good variety of foods and drinks, we were each able to find something to fit our cravings. We used the 2-course and 3-course choices, reasonably priced at 16 and 28 euros respectively. All our fare were de-lish, with standard presentations(nothing fancy): foie gras in pâté’ form, escargot in the shells, turkey escalope, beef bourguignon, butter-herbed salmon, chocolate mousse,& crème brûlée. The waitress spoke very little English and we spoke practically no French, but she was very friendly and patient. We managed to communicate our needs just fine, including how to split up the bill for our separate payments. I went back and forth between 4 stars and 5 due to the décor/ambiance, it was more of a place for us tourist gringos, not someplace for a romantic date. For our circumstances, budgets, and group mix, however, it was perfection.

Stopped in for dinner and had the fixed price menu. Food was well prepared and flavorful. Chicken was very good as was the lemon tart. Service was quick

The first visit for breakfast was great. The second, my wife ordered an omelet, and they informed us that they were out of eggs, only to have the table next to us get a fired egg on their burger 15 minutes later. After that, we waited 45 minutes and never got the check. The waiter was pissed when I went to the bar to get the check, and never came back to get the change. Good food, if you can get it, and poor service.

I was hesitant to try this place because I didn’t really see a lot of customers, but decided to try it anyway. No regrets here as it got crowded a few minutes after we got seated. Breakfast was typical. Nothing stood out, but it was satisfying. The price wasn’t that bad either. I would probably come back, maybe after checking out other places along the same avenue.

Do not eat lunch here!!! I would give it less than one star if I could. We ordered 3 different lunch specials and 2 were completely inedible — as in we could not chew the meat or poultry, and one was barely edible. The fries were like the freezer bag/warm in the oven type and we ate those and drank our beverages. Unimpressive, yucky restrooms and horrible food.

This was probably the best dining experience we had the entire time we were in Paris! The food was excellent, and the service was wonderful. The portions were extremely generous too!

Horrible, horrible experience! Under staffed, rude and very mediocre food. Lasagna was disgusting. Ordered the Special of the Day meal that comes with dessert. Could barely eat it and then they didn’t honor the special and charged me for my dessert! When I asked, they just started speaking louder and louder! I almost started yelling back just to see what their response would be. Everyone in our very crowded area was disappointed and felt over charged on one thing or another.

One thing I have always tried to do when traveling is to find the restaurant that the locals favor. I was staying in the neighborhood, which has several bistros. This was the furthest from my apartment and the tourist area and by far my favorite. We are American tourists and were treated well. The language barrier here was the greatest, but no insurmountable. Great place to go to share a bottle of wine, a light entrée and a dessert. Nice selection of wines at reasonable prices. The grand marnier crêpe flambé is amazing. The crème brulle was one of the best I have ever had. This was a great experience for us to simply enjoy a bottle of wine, relax and people watch in Paris.

Mediocre food and service. My friend and I ordered the $ 28 combo and it’s definitely on the pricy side considering the quality of the food, avoid the steak

In my opinion, the one star is generous. The glasses were dirty. The crème carmel was not edible; it did not have your typical crust, and was like flavorless jello. The crepes came cold, with a packet of Nutella. On the way to the toilette, you passed a cooler full of pre-made desserts, covered in plastic wrap. The bathrooms were filthy and right next to the kitchen, which was covered in horse flies. My favorite moment was when the waiter was speaking in French to the table next to us, assuming we could not understand French, and they were talking down about us Americans. Disappointing as we were nothing but respectful and paid our check without complaint.

I guess I should have come for dinner according to these other reviews. I came for lunch and wasn’t too impressed. I ordered a croque monsieur, which was made well but didn’t stand out to me. It came with a side salad and a small basket of fresh bread. While it was a good deal for my wallet, I didn’t feel like it was anything special.

Quite honestly the most perfect Parisian dinner that I could have ever imagined. After a long day roaming the streets of Paris, we saw the rain clouds set in and headed for shelter along with a final bite to eat in The City of Lights. We wanted to make it a wonderful last dinner and ordered every traditional French food on the menu. We started with wine and a cappuccino, moved onto frog legs and escargot, then to lasagna and pasta carbonara, and finally a fresh apple tart. Everything about the meal was absolutely magnificent and was everything that we could have ever hoped for. If you’re looking for a quaint little eatery with an amazing atmosphere, you have found the perfect place. It’s extremely close to The Eiffel Tower and central to tons of great shops, bakeries, and hotels. Magnificent!

Not the best place to eat dinner. Service was as expected(typically slow) and the food was mediocre. When my wife and I first arrived we were sat immediately. I was given a French/Italian menu and I understand neither. My wife was given a French/English menu, both of which she understands(probably because the server thought we both understand French). I ordered the grilled steak medium, but it came out well done to the point it was like beef jerky. For dessert I ordered the café gourmand, which I thought was gourmet coffee, but to my surprise it was a café, a small crème brûlée, small orange sorbet, and a small chocolate pot de crème(I would recommend). My wife ordered charcuterie which was okay, the bœuf bourguignon, which was pretty good, and for dessert, the pot de crème. Overall, It was an okay place. It wasn’t as good as we expected from previous reviews.

On the advice of fellow Unilocalers, we decided to try Le Beaujolais and we were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my family, which included my husband and I plus our 3 children(aged 9, 11&13). Don’t miss the beef burgundy and crème brûlée. We spent about 16 euros/pp plus a bottle of wine and a bottle of water(but ask for tap water if you don’t mind that — I think it’s free). My dinner was 28 euros and included escargot. In all, I thin we spent about 120 euros for all 5 of us, which was well worth it. Great atmosphere too! Small place. It seemed to fill up after we showed up around 8 p.m. so if you may want to call and make a reservation. Also, the staff didn’t speak much English but understood us just fine(I know about 4 words in French and none of them will help me order a meal in a restaurant LOL).

Our favorite find this trip! The food and service was outstanding. From breakfast to dessert it was perfect. The onion soup was my favorite but don’t miss the crème brûlée. All wait staff were friendly and accommodating.

This place was delicious and quite affordable. Both me and my friend got the two course meal for 16 €(you get a choice between a starter or a desert, so naturally, we split a starter and after). We went in pretty late at night, around 9pm or so, and the only people working were an older woman and two older men(I assume to be the husband and wife owner and maybe a brother or brother-in-law). The gentleman who serves as a waiter speaks very good English. The woman had functional English, able to understand what you were saying and point out stuff on the menu, but seriously, walk in with some French. She seemed much happier to accommodate us when we made the attempt to order and converse in French, earning us extra servings of bread and Nutella for our crepes. I ordered a medium steak which was cooked to perfection despite being a fairly thin cut. Just the right amount pink all the way through. And the chips(fries) were surprisingly well done. Crispy and seasoned. My friend got turkey for some inexplicable reason, and it was moist and came out topped with a sheen of melted butter and herbs. We also ordered a bottle of red wine priced at 21 €, which was the second cheapest and really very good. Not vinegary or overpowering, accenting the foods perfectly and giving off a good amount of warmth after the cold winter day. Also, we had espresso after and it had the familiar taste of perfection I experienced in Italy. So one bottle of wine, two two course meals, and two espressos came out to 56 €(gratuity is of course, included here). Totally fair given this place is literally 100ft from the Eiffel Tower. C’est magnifique! I would totally recommend this place and will be returning soon. [One things ladies, the matron of this establishment is old French, so if you want wine and you’re with male company, she may only bring a single wine menu and pass it to the men-folk, as well as pass a single tasting sample to the same gender for judgement. This is not rudeness or chauvinism, it’s just the way it’s done. She expects if there’s gentleman about, he’s buying the wine and if it’s his money, he’s the one selecting what he thinks is acceptable for his companions.]

After 3 days of walking around Paris and having more than our fair share of brasserie food, Le Beaujolais was more than a welcome find. This lovely French establishment hit all the right notes. From the service, the food, the atmosphere — everything was fantastic. Our choices included Beef Bourguignon and Roast Chicken. Both were cooked to perfection. We absolutely fell in love with the ambiance here and will definitely return on our next trip to Paris.
