Ibis

Idéal pour Paris.
C’est l’hôtel où nous n’hésitons pas à réserver lors de nos séjours sur Paris, même avec nôtre fille de 5 ans. Il est idéalement situé dans un quartier calme & agréable à quelques pas de la Place d’Italie. Facilement accessible par les transports en commun. L’accueil est bon. Le personnel présent, agréable & chaleureux. La chambre & les communs sont très propres & pratique. Le petit déjeuner est correctement achalandé. Une seule chose manqué: une deuxième prise électrique dans la partie chambre.

My mom and I stayed here for 7 nights because it’s across the street from my grandmother’s apartment in Place d’Italie. I consider the location to be so-​so. There’s a shopping mall across the road with a Carrefour and many clothing shops, it’s close to the 5,6,&7 metro lines (Place d’Italie stop), but there’s not much else to do in the neighborhood.
For $ 107 during the week we got a TINY bedroom with two twin beds pushed next to each other and a bathroom. On the weekends this rate increases to $ 125. There is free wireless Internet, but it requires logging in every several minutes. If you let your iPhone go idle for even a moment, the Internet connection is lost. Talk about annoying. The water temperature of the shower also fluctuates drastically, but c’est la vie. And to top it all off they lost our reservation for the 7^th night (after we went to Normandy for a few days), even though we had confirmed the reservation several times.
Overall I would say that I’m unimpressed by Ibis. If you don’t need to stay by Place d’Italie I would recommend looking elsewhere.
