Hotel Relais Montmartre is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are clean. The beds are very comfortable. The towels are large. The air conditioning works excellently and cools the room down very quickly. The rooms even have USB outlets which are perfect for charging cell phones! The staff is polite and friendly… they graciously let me print out my boarding pass and let me borrow an adapter. The location is between the famous Moulin Rouge and Sacred Heart Church. If you are looking for an affordable and comfortable hotel in Paris, the Hotel Relais Montmartre is an excellent choice!

Metrostation Blanche.

The Hôtel Relais Montmartre came recommended by a fellow Unilocaler, and I was not disappointed! A quaint, cozy boutique hotel around the corner from the Moulin Rouge, during the day the neighborhood isn’t infested by other tourists — only you. Also in the area, many cute restaurants, mostly reasonably priced($$) that are filled with locals. A little farther from the touristy sites(Louvre, Eiffel Tower), but manageable if you’re willing to figure out the bus system. As for the accommodations, we paid for the cheapest rooms and was placed in one on the ground floor next to the stairs, but did not even notice any noise from passing foot traffic. Clean room, full-sized mattress, spacious(a little dated) bathroom with only a shower. One night, we brought back dinner to eat in the ground floor patio, and were pleasantly surprised when the staff offered us proper plates and cutlery for our meal. In summary, Hôtel Relais Montmartre offered a very comfortable and friendly stay in a quaint, less-touristy neighborhood, a great Paris boutique hotel experience. Note: Free Wifi available.

Quintessentially Parisian, the Hôtel Relais Montmartre is an ideal pick for the traveler wanting an Amélie-like experience while visiting the City of Light. Situated on a small one way street near Rue Lepic and Rue Des Abbesses in the shadow of the Sacre Cœur, you’re in easy walking distance of charming creperies, boulangeries and boutiques. And the hilly streets near the hotel beg to be strolled. I was shocked by the friendly reception I got when I turned up here and even more so when the man who checked me in offered me multiple wifi access codes for my different devices; that’s a first for me in Paris! Not only is the hotel ideal for a romantic jaunt, the business traveler can also get work done here. The lift is super slow so I recommend taking the stairs(what better way to work off that pain au chocolat?) But that’s the only complaint I have about the place. Sadly, I had but one short night at the reasonably priced(I’ve often paid more and gotten less in Paris) Hôtel Relais Montmartre but it’s somewhere I’d love to return to whether for business or pleasure.
