This hotel is a bit pricey, the rooms are a bit small and for some reason you have to leave your room key at the front desk when you leave and collect it when you return, however, you can’t beat the location and the pleasant staff. This hotel has a homey feel to it. Beware, if you get a room on the third floor and you have large luggage you may struggle lugging it up the small winding stair corridor or extremely small elevator. Most everything is within walking distance and you are situated in Picasso’s old stomping grounds. There are markets, stores, restaurants(including the Café de la Rotonde frequented by Pablo Picasso and Diego Rivera) and the subway line just a short walk away. This location acts as the hub that affords you the ability to experience some history(even while you sleep) and allows you to easily access whatever you may need to get a bite to eat, take the subway to get around to see sites or even use Über, although in my opinion the subway is much cheaper and actually quite efficient. As stated above, the hotel is a bit pricey, however, most people only visit Paris once. There’s even a laundromat next door. Overall the stay was quite nice. Who really spends a great deal of time in their hotel rooms when on vacation anyway? It’s all about location, location! The location of your hotel can be the difference between a pleasantly convenient stay or a struggling mess to get from point A to point B.

We requested a room for 3, since that’s what they offered, it was basically a tiny room, with a double bed and a cot jammed in the corner. Since the cot took up all available standing room, you had to climb over the bed to the bathroom. Great location.

I would not stay here again. We spent 3 nights at Hotel Jardin Le Brea just after Christmas, and were not impressed with the staff, facilities, or hotel amenities. The staff were the only rude people I encountered in Paris! I speak French, and the staff were the only Parisians during our trip who refused to address me in French. When I asked for a restaurant recommendation, I was told they are all good. Every restaurant in Paris. i did enjoy the hotel’s espresso machine, and thought the lobby was beautifully decorated for the season. The location was wonderful, and I’d advise any guests to investigate the fromagerie two blocks south!

We had made a reservation for this hotel a few months ago and asked for a room on the ground or first floor due to the use of a prosthetic leg. We arrived late since British air was late every step of the way as was the car we hired to pick us up. We were greeted by a very friendly man who was efficient and helpful for we who must seem stupid from our initial contact. We have had contact with three folks here so far and they are all beyond helpful and friendly, so nice. The hotel it self is quite stylish and comfortable with available coffee, liquor and snacks if you with. Our room is on the ground floor while being quite small has all one needs in a room. It looks nice with coordinated wallpaper and drapes with a small desk and comfy chair. It also has a patio with a table and chairs, so one can get some air if one needs. The bathroom is larger than most we have had in Paris, a good shower that fits fat old me. Yeah it is a great place to stay while having fun in Paris. The neighborhood has all that you could want on a daily basis.
