Eating Indian is arguably the best way to eat vegetarian out in Nice France. Our visit turned out to be an extensive survey of Indian restaurants in Nice. Royal Kashmir rated high among them. The food is cooked to order, and they I willing to leave crème fraîche out of the vegetarian dishes. The seasonings were fresh and flavorful. The onion Bhaji were the bomb! Royal Kashmir appeared to be a family run business. The service was friendly and they took a lot of pride in their food. Located near the train station on Avenue Thiers, the restaurant was just a short, pleasant walk from our hotel by the sea.

I’ve had alot of Indian food. This was right there as among the best Indian I’ve ever had. The naan was exacly the way I like it. Crisp crust, chewey center, not too thick. Perfect to sop up the sauce from the lamb vindaloo, which was also excellent. Although I did ask for it extra spicy and it came out just a little spicy, but the flavor was so good, I didn’t really mind. I also got the chicken tikka appetizer which was juicy and had excellent flavor as well.

Very pleasant place, we came at 8pm and was empty, after hour full. Great delicious indian food, we had a vegetarian menu. When you order spicy it is spicy, when not spicy it is without it — not every indian restaurant can make it :)

This place is located away from the main tourist spots in a residential area of Nice. It’s been open for 6 months and serves Indian and Pakistani cuisine. They also serve halal food as per their menu. Service is ok and English is well spoken here. The menu is quite extensive and there is plenty of choice for meat, fish or vegetarian food. The onion baji we ordered for starter was nice and tasty however it arrived after our main course arrived, which was a bit strange. My lamb masala was excellent albeit mild(should have asked for spicy and I forgot). The lamb was cooked to perfection. The roti was good and all in all a tasty meal. I would happily come back here for a meal. It’s not my favourite Indian restaurant however given the shortage of choices in Nice for such things, this place is good.
