Stayed at the hotel below, and was surprised to see the restaurant packed for dinner — turns out it’s not just a hotel restaurant, but one that’s quite popular with locals, at least if you believe the hostess. The view was absolutely spectacular. Up above the din of the prom’, with long views across the old town to the lighthouse, and of course of the sea. Just a wonderful place to take in Nice’s elegant evening glow. The service was inattentive and indifferent. The food was far too precious for its own good(and, thus, highly disappointing) — the kitchen displays a definitive preference for concept and presentation over flavor execution. You’d be better off coming up here for an apperitif, and heading down for a meal elsewhere.

Delicious food and one of the coolest places to have dinner and drinks in Nice. Lots of exciting and innovative French dishes and wine to choose from. Expect around € 80 a person and definitely make a reservation.

We packed as much fun into the the four hours we had ashore in the port of Cannes. The highlight of our short visit was the medieval town of Saint Paul de Vance up in the hills above Cannes. After our usual round of photo ops, shopping, and takin in the sights and sounds, we finished up at La Terrasse for traditional French crepes dishes. I had the goat cheese and spinach crêpe with arugula salad while my wife opted for the all-in crêpe. I can’t list every ingredient but it was delicious and huge! A bottle of chilled rose was a perfect complement. The best thing about lunch was the bird’s nest view of the valley below the medieval city. It don’t get no betta than that! Highly recommended. Must go.

This restaurant is run by a renowned chef. My favorite thing on the menu was that chicken dish with a complex blend of flavors. This was one of my best dining experiences. The view of Nice from this 9th floor Terrace could not be beaten. Tips: early reservations advised. They will be able to seat you without reservations, but you’ll end up seated in the less-desirable covered part.
