What you see is what you get — tasty tex-mex, no fuzz. It’s been here forever and never disappoints.

It’s a very sweet restaurant, the food r delicious and service r good. I strongly recommend the lamb chop if u not refuse the lamb. My friend and I spent the new year’s night here, I thought it’s very worth to hang over at the shopping centre, it’s a good choice to have a nice dinner when u r tired after shopping,

After the previous restaurant I wanted to eat at was closed for dinner, I swung by this place as it was close to my hotel. Long story short, I think this place gave me food poisoning…

I have never eaten a less tasty burrito in my entire life. Probably *not* meant to be consumed by Mexican food fans. The only available quesadilla on the menu was with shrimps. Seriously?! Plus, who charges for a glass of water in Finland?! Tap water is cheap, good quality and best of all, practically free here. It only shows a management with cheap attitude.

I don’t think the proprietors have actually been to Santa Fe, Mexico or New Mexico or even Rancho Santa Fe in California. Let’s put aside all expectations as they pertain to Mexican food and go from there, k? Now that we’re clear that this is not Mexican food, I will say that there is nothing horrible about this establishment. The vibe and interior are mediterranean, the shopping center they’re located in is suburban(despite being in downtown Helsinki), and the food is a confusing mix of tex-mex titles, greek flourishes, and 7−11product. Nacho cheese«sauce» is predominantly featured on the menu, as is «chili sauce» which is just incorrect for jarred«salsa». The guacamole will have come out of a jar and is probably 10% actual avocado. But the sour cream is actual crème fraîche so it redeems all the jarred and overly processed other stuff. There is nothing«light» about the Fajitas Light and they are garnished with hazelnuts and kalamata olives(and a side of fried chevre if you ask… I did… it was delicious) but they are delicious. The tortillas that come with the hot skillet of oily veggies, nuts, olives, and chevre(if you order it on the side) are not so good. My husband got the ribs. He ate all of them. He would eat a rubber tire if it was covered in bbq sauce, though, so I can’t comment. The romesco sauce and fried potatoes that accompanied the ribs were by far the best thing to come to our table. Besides the beers. They have Corona here. Overall, the service was great, the interior is really cool, the mall seating just outside the actual restaurant is perfect if you have a screaming baby(they don’t mind at all, btw), and the food was not bad. Just don’t expect Mexican, Tex-Mex, or even Taco Bell and you’ll be fine here.

I wouldn’t suggest travelling all the way to Finland for Mexican food, but if you must get your Mexican fix on in Helsinki, go to Ravintola Santa Fe. They have a decent selection of burritos and fajitas. Plenty of seating inside and out(near the bar or outside where a band sometimes plays). Menus are available in English and I believe Swedish and German as well.

This was a fun little Tex-Mex place I tried out on my quest to eat Tex-Mex in every city I visit. The burrito was huge and the staff was friendly. My waiter kept suggesting I get a drink, despite it being roughly 11:30 in the morning. I like to think he wanted to get me drunk to flirt with me, but I think it was all about sales. Oh well. A girl can hope. All in all not a bad place to grab a bite to eat when wandering around Helsinki.

Ein Wahnsinns TexMex Restaurant. Absolut empfehlenswert. Also nichts wie hin. In ein paar Tagen ist es wieder soweit, freu mich jetzt schon.
