Exceptional. Patrick is a true businessman. On a trip to see my then fiancé in January, we arrived at the restaurant around 7pm on a Saturday evening without a reservation. The front room was completely booked so Patrick opened up one of his catering room and set up a table for two, including playing romantic music. Since then, we have been back and the food and service are more amazing each time. Now that we are married and I have relocated to Zionsville, Patrick’s will be our date night choice!

I have had the pleasure of lunching at Patrick’s twice recently. My first lunch was on a warm Monday(4−18−16). Although there was room in the inviting patio area, I wanted to inside to see what the restaurant looked like. I was seated promptly and had prompt service. I choose to go with the Bayview Crab Cakes — Pan-fried blue crab cakes served on a bed of greens, with red chile mayo and basil aioli. The crab cakes weren’t huge, but seemed appropriate for lunch time. I like the flavor combo with the condiments. I also had a delicious House Salad — Mixed greens, dried cranberries, sliced toasted almonds, crumbled gorganzola, and house vinaigrette. Nice and light, with lots of flavor. Overall, very satisfying with good flavor. I liked the restaurant so much that when my wife asked me where she could meet a friend on the northside of Indy, I suggested she head to Zionsville to Patrick’s. I was glad I was invited too!
We met on a rainy Tuesday(6−14−16) and after a short stroll from a side street where we parked, we met our friend inside. I started off with a local craft brew and then ordered half and half lunch option: side salad and half a sandwich. My wife and friend ordered one of the specials for the day: The chicken Quesadilla which both thought was a good choice. Because I like the salad on my first visit, I chose it again this time. I then chose the Spinach Melt — Spinach blend with cheddar cheese, tomato, and bacon grilled on multi-grain bread. This had a nice flavor and because the spinach was cooked, it didn’t seem too much along with the spinach salad. I would order it again. The food came out fast again, the only negative in both visits is that the salads and entrees came out at the same time. So, next time, I will ask if the salad can be brought out ahead of time. I chose to eat the entrée while hot… it just seemed a little weird to the salad last. Anyway, my wife wanted to try the Chocolate Volcano dessert which we split three ways. It was a personal chocolate cake with a «molten» center with a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream. The flavor of the cake was good and the center was moist, but there wasn’t anything«molten». We didn’t get too disappointed, but it didn’t fit the description. Much like the revival of Main Street in Speedway, Zionsville can be proud of the number of quality restaurants and shoppes opening up there.(I still love the brick streets!) We’re looking forward to our next visit… maybe brunch?

Love Patrick’s for brunch. The chorizo frittata is incredible. I love their homemade salsa. The pulled pork hash is excellent as well. Staff are friendly and welcoming, though the waits for food are often a bit long. But that’s ok, the food is well worth it. Family friendly too. Patrick himself is always present and good for a nice chat as well. Great place to sit outside on a nice day as well, right on Main St. Zionsville. Highly recommend! The do great breakfast burritos on Saturdays at the farmers market as well. Man, I’m hungry now.

We sat outside at Patrick’s and had a great casual lunch. I had the spinach sandwich. It had loads of spinach on it, along with cheese and tomato. The bread was toasted perfectly. Our waiter was nice and very knowledgeable.

I am in Indianapolis for work and happened to venture north toward the quant town of Zionsville. I must say the town is GREAT! I love all the little shops and how it is so ‘small town’ just outside of the ‘big city’. Anyhow… onto Patrick’s… they have great seating options for inside or outside and since it was such a beautiful day today we chose outside. The hostess and waiter(didn’t catch the name, could have even been Patrick himself) were very friendly. We were quickly brought our drinks and told the specials. The food was spot on. The menu offered a good variety, including vegetarion options. I had the fish tacos, which was the lunch special for the day. The plate arrived with three prepared tacos, which included small corn tortillas, fish that was broiled, not fried, lettuce, fresh cilantro and pico. On the side there was a green spicy avocado sauce and sour cream. The flavors worked perfectly and the portion was perfect. I definitely left full and satisfied. I look forward to another visit to Indy so I can head back and try one of the other delicious items!

This place was good. We shopped around the area and stumbled in. I had a flatbread pizza with chicken on it. I coupled my selection with a fine beer suggested by our British waitress(???). The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing Saturday afternoon in Zionsville. The service was nice and the food came quick. There was also a neat, old hotel attached. Give this place a shot and you shouldn’t be disappointed.

We checked out Zionsville for the first time yesterday, and really enjoyed the quaint old town. After some strolling, we decided to have lunch at Patrick’s. We were in during the lull between lunch and dinner, so it was nice and quiet. They had a nice beer selection — including my favorite, Ballast Point Sculpin Grapefruit pale ale — so that always makes me happy. My fiancé had a flatbread pizza with chicken, which he said was good, not great. I had the black and blue caesar salad with the«cajun» chicken breast — can’t say I tasted the cajun spice. However, the salad was made with hearty greens and fresh vegetables. Overall, quite good. The service was small-town friendly — and Patrick stopped by and chatted with us for a few minutes, making us feel like very much valued guests. I’d say we’ll be back.

We went for lunch this past Saturday and inadvertently got the option for brunch, which was a surprise, since it was 1:30! An option for brunch is always a good thing in my opinion! Right off the bat, Patrick greeted our table not long after we were seated, and meeting the proprietors of restaurants is always a nice touch, especially when dealing with such local business in a small, quaint community like Zionsville. He was pleasant and well spoken, a very nice man! I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and my to-be father in law had the scottish ale off the bar menu. The wine was great and he seemed pleased with his beer. My fiancé had the croque madam and announced that he though every restaurant should offer one! I had a bite and it WAS delicious. I had the chicken caesar salad. I know, not very adventuresome… but the dressing was fresh and obviously homemade, with fairly big dices of anchovies mixed in. The lettuce was fresh and the chicken was good, well seasoned and cooked without being dry. To-be father in law had the Z-B-BLT(the longer name to denote«Zionsville’s Best BLT but it escapes me), which he adored and is apparently always ordered by SOMEONE in their group every time. To-be mother in law had the burger and seemed pleased with it as well. This is a cute little community and the restaurant reflects as much. Our waitress was very pleasant and obviously a bubbly personality. Next time we are in town we will definitely consider a repeat visit!

Looking for a place where you can sleep in(like sleep WAY in) and still order off the brunch menu? Then Patrick’s Kitchen & Drinks is your type of place! They serve off of their brunch menu until 2:00 and serve their lunch menu from 12:00 — 5:00 on weekends. It’s pretty nice! I ordered the croque madam with fresh fruit on the side. The croque madam was an absolutely gorgeous sandwhich. Crispy with a perfectly cooked sunny side egg on top. My only complaint about this sandwhich was a sauce that I felt was a little too strong. Eating it, I assumed that it was some type of dijon mustard, but it is not on the ingredient list. Maybe the swiss cheese was somewhat overpowering? Our waiter was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied and our glasses were never empty. My friend and I visited for a long time after eating and he continued to fill our glasses and make sure we did not need anything. Thanks to the great service and the good food, I’ll definitely be back!

I went to Patrick’s for lunch with a friend. We were able to park right on Main Street. The restaurant is located in the Brick Street Inn. I thought the location was perfect. It was charming and very homey feeling. I went with the Croque Madame, which was a grilled ham and Swiss cheese that had an amazing garlic cream sauce. Then to make it even more perfect it had an over-easy fried egg on top! I chose the homemade chips, which were really good! I only finished half my sandwich, but every bite was yummy! My friend had the crab cake sandwich and she really enjoyed it. It also looked amazing and I will for sure have to get it next time. Lunch was somewhat busy, but we have very attentive service. Our glasses were never empty for long.

I liked Patrick’s. I was there recently for a brunch with some northside friends. I had a sandwich with pulled pork, scrambled eggs and hollandaise sauce. It was tasty. A little overpriced I think, but that’s the way brunch goes. I really liked the look of the building and dining room. Definitely worth a stop.

Downtown Zionsville is full of gems and this is one of them. Small plates dominate the menu but they are as hip as they are approachable. Fried Goat cheese and the Bacon Spin Dip were both delicious. 2 – 4 plates a person would constitute a full meal but it’s more fun to go with people willing to share and split items so you can try out more dishes. They were moderately busy but I didn’t feel rushed at all to vacate the table. Instead I felt encouraged to eat slowly and spend time talking with my friend. They had live music but it wasn’t overpowering or too loud to have a conversation. The staff was friendly and I had a great dining experience. I think I will come back for lunch sometime!

Three stars for the location, atmosphere and beautiful outdoor seating area. I visited Patrick’s today with my extended family, and although we enjoyed out visit together, the topic of conversation was mostly how terrible the service was. After our order was taken, we were left to sit for 45 minutes or so, with no waitress returning to refill our drinks. Finally, somebody came with three sodas, dropped them off and quickly disappeared, leaving the other three without drinks. Multiple times, I had to go inside to find our waitress and make sure she hadn’t forgotten about us. The food took quite a while, but was pretty good, nothing to complain about. Except that when the food was brought to our table, the waitress told us that they were out of peanut butter, and could not make my son’s PB&J. He’s 2, and when he’s hungry, he gets crazy. So I asked how long it would take to make chicken fingers. Our waitress assured us it would only take 3 – 6 minutes. So, we ordered chicken strips with«veggies». My son’s meal came out just as we were all finishing eating,(he had eaten mostly everyone’s fries by this point.) The«veggies» were actually just green beans, the only vegetable my son doesn’t eat. I wish we’d been told they were green beans, rather than leaving us expecting a variety of vegetables. For the price, we would have been better off not ordering him a meal at all. All in all, our dining experience was $ 45, for me, my husband and our son. It took our waitress another twenty minutes to return with our credit card. This was such an adorable place! I couldn’t wait to try it out. I was left feeling pretty disappointed. :(

This is one of the times I wish Unilocal would allow half stars! We were there for brunch on a recent Saturday and the food was worthy of 4 – 5 stars, but the service was lacking. There were six of us — four adults and two kids. We opted to sit outside on the cute little patio. Being brunch, us adults ordered Bloody Marys. The kids drinks were served right away which was appreciative. Our Bloody Marys took some time, but no big deal. What was surprising was the drinks arrived without any garnish — absolutely nothing other than a flimsy half slice of lemon buried down in the glass. I’m all for a great Bloody Mary garnish, but even an olive or lime wedge would have sufficed. What was even more disappointing was seeing another table’s Bloody Mary’s arriving fully garnished! We felt a little cheated. The food was fantastic and definitely made up for the disappointing drinks. The kids ordered chocolate chip pancakes which were quickly brought out. My sister and I ordered the chorizo fritatta which was fantastic(and huge). The guys ordered the pork hash and benedict arnold which was a combination of eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy — both were devoured. The food was great and I struggle a bit with the 3 star rating, but the slow service keeps me from giving it 4 stars. Our drinks sat empty, it took awhile to get waters and our server forgot the guy’s side of bacon twice — he brought out one, but forgot the second order and blamed it on the«guest chef». He claimed it was on the ticket — I’ve spent enough years serving to know it’s the servers responsibility to make sure their order is complete! We would go back(and hope for better service!).

Falling in love with this place is easy with just your first visit. Considering it’s Sunday morning, we figured it would be busier, but we were able to be seated right away. We chose to sit outside and be surrounded by the beautiful plants, wildlife, and people. Servers were extremely pleasant and informative on specials. The food was more than we could have hoped for. It was so delicious! I look forward to coming back and trying their lunch and dinner menu. The interior of the restaurant appeared smaller, so not sure if we would want to come back on a cold or rainy day. Best seats are definitely outside!

My new job lets me travel a bit around Indiana. Today’s stop was Zionsville. I was in the mood for chicken salad and Unilocal sent me here. Quiet and nice little place with a cool little bar and two small dining rooms. Seating was quick and service quicker. I offered the chicken salad sandwich served on toast which came with slaw, chips and a pickle. The fresh squeezed lemonade was fantastic. The sandwich just the right crunch with large chunks of chicken, onion and celery. The mayo was a little much(especially for the mustachioed like me). Home made chips and a pickle rounded out a good lunch. Ordered the key lime pie to go. I’m a sucker for good key lime pie. I’ll let you know how this one went. My only complaint was the of you are going to limit the lemonade refills to just one then you should ask before you refill half the glass. I’ll bring the wife for dinner next time.

I arrived a little early for a dinner with a friend, so I was getting there just as they were preparing for dinner. The first thing I noticed was how charming this place was. Clearly it used to be a house. The lighting was beautiful-the bar area was classy, and the atmosphere was quiet. I loved it. I was helped quickly and ordered a beer to enjoy while I waited for my friend. She checked on me once or twice as a waited, and didn’t seemed annoyed that I was just hanging out(for about 45 minutes while I waited). Finally it was time to order and I had had a lot of time to study the menu. Everything sounded delicious, but the entrees were a little pricier than I wanted to spend. Thankfully they offer small plates, so I got a stuffed Poblano along with a cup of their blond chili. My pal ordered the black and blue chicken flatbread. The Chili was ok, but not seasoned enough. The ingredients were wonderful so I know it has potential, but we both had to add some salt to give it flavor. Maybe it was just an off day– my husband had it recently and loved it. The stuffed Poblano was small plate sized and the flatbread seemed meal size. The poblano was good, just spicy enough and with the soup, made a nice sized smaller meal. My friends Black and Blue Chicken Flatbread was the star of the night(besides my Daredevil beer of course). The crust was perfectly cooked and the flavor was soooooooooooo good. I will definitely get that again. Worth checking out-I’d love to try their brunch.

I was hoping to research on Unilocal where to eat in the Zionsville /Whitestown area but I did not have enough time. So I asked two ladies on the street of Zionsville’s Main St. One of them recommended this establishment. I have not tried it and saw that I may like their sweet tater turkey hash(brunch). It was an entrée of sweet potatoes with turkey mixed together, 2 scrabbled eggs, 2 wheat toasts, and their homemade pineapple marmalade. It was delicious as I ate it all. It was a little pricy to me of $ 11.75 so I am a little fan.

Main Street in Zionsville transports you into a slightly different parallel universe — old-timey charming and occasionally too high-brow and upscale antique-y. Heading to Patrick’s, I was not sure which end of scale it would lean towards, but was relieved by the welcoming close quarters of the first floor of a bed and breakfast. While we waited for our hot chocolates to arrive, we watched the families and antique shoppers strolling outside, kids kicking the bright fall leaves. Eggs benedict sitting on top of crab cakes was an unusual twist on one of my favorites and was executed well. Although plastic cups do not dress up fruit, the freshness made up for it. The staff was attentive, the owner checking in on guests, even refilling coffee. The poll of our table resulted in a summary: «The food did not blow us away with creativity or novelty of flavor, it was fresh and satisfying.» Let’s just say no «to go» boxes were requested and there were little swirls of sauce on the plates indicating the attempts to get the last drop with a piece of toast…
