First time here. Pleasantly pleased. Service is great. We never even had to ask for more salsa. It was always quickly replaced. I was surprised the fish tacos did not come with a fish taco sauce. But it was still good to eat. The shredded beef tacos were tasty, just a bit greasy. But overall, a good dining experience. LOVE the chandelier

Great service. Took care of the small children right away. Chips were flowing. Always attentive and prompt. Excellent food. Spinach burrito was tasty. Dessert was as I imagined. Perfect example of what you miss when you live in a big city too long. Great service is hard to come by and comes with a high price and hint of arrogance. Not here amigo. Not here.

This is honestly the worst mexican food ive ever had. I would rather eat taco bell. Its bland and CRAZY expensive! Got taquitos and 4 tacos and 2 sodas for my associate and i. Take out for lunch. Came to $ 29.00!

This restaurant was an unexpected delight! Not only was the food excellent, the wait staff outdid themselves providing exceptional service to everyone. Restrooms were spotless(!) and attractively decorated. And on the way back to our table, I noticed one of the waitresses carefully wiping down each laminated page in a stack of menus. This is clearly a well-run restaurant that offers high quality & delicious food in a pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere. It is an easy on-off exit from I-82, and definitely worth the stop. Bring your appetites!

Yep, this defiantly happened. I didn’t think I was going to try this little gem, but I did with my family. We walked in and was seated right away. I then decided I wasn’t eating the rest of the evening sooo I got something BIG and new. I tried the chicken veggie stir fry. Holy Mole, this was amazing in flavors. The smell was really interested. It smelt like Asian stir fry, but tasted like Mexican food. It had mushrooms, pepper, zucchini, onions, carrots, and speared avocados with delicious flavorful cooked to perfection chicken. Chicken breast in case you were wondering. I love it. Don’t forget chips and salsa is served: complimentary. The chicken and veggies were served over Monterrey jack cheese and Mexican rice, now this is what I’m talking about. I took one bit and didn’t think I was going to even eat three tacos. I was more hungry than I thought. I wasn’t even FULL. I just had to stop eating. I normally ALWAYS get the carne asada, but my friends boyfriend did so I tired it JUST to make sure it was flavorful meat, with seasonings that made the meat of sooo delicious. I ended up having it was my avocado spears on a tortilla. So delicious. I heard the Cheladas are PERFECT. I haven’t had a margarita since they re opened, but this use to be the spot. BIG, tasty, and would knock you out of your socks too… overall I love this place so goooooo already!

I stopped her for lunch on my way from here to there. This place was near the middle of the journey. I really enjoyed the décor, the dated but well maintained booths included. The service was excellent. I counted no fewer than 5 ladies who assisted me in some way or another. More chips, salsa and water were offered and provided. The chips and salsa were excellent. Chips served hot and in a plentiful amount. Again, more were offered. I declined the chips and got more salsa for my meal. The meal arrived promptly and with the typical hot plate found in Mexican restaurants. I had an enchilada and 2 tacos – number 16 on the menu, I believe. Served with rice and beans of course. The meat I chose was chicken. It was done well, not dry. Could have been a bit crispy, but I think that is a personal preference and not typical. Delicious. I wolfed it down and scraped the plate clean. The tomatoes and lettuce were cool and fresh. The cheese was melt but flavorless. The main complaint was that the taco shell were too processed. They could and should change to better reflect what is available locally. The check came with an Andes chocolate mint, nice touch. I think the price was about a dollar more than justified by locale and food. The 4th star of my review is because I couldn’t give 3.5 and the service justified the rounding up. I’d come back, but it wouldn’t be added to the rotation of regular eateries.

terrible terrible terrible mexican food. bland and generic. cheese wasn’t melted in enchiladas, chicken had NO spices whatsoever; tacos were served in store bought fried taco shells. not authentic mexican food, yuck

El Porton is THE place for food in Zillah, WA. Great food and great service, just be sure to be really hungry as the portions are huge. Many of the entrees can be shared they’re so big. The shredded beef burrito was enormous and loaded with delicious beef. The chicken taco salad is also super fresh and delicious with a mega-ton of chicken. We’ve been going for years and will keep going every time we’re in the area.

Grabbed takeout on our way from Walla Walla to Seattle! Enjoyed Carne Asada tacos and Bacon Wrapped Prawns! Both were delicious and their super fresh hot chips! Yum!

Had lunch here on a wine tasting day trip. The restaurant was clean & pleasantly decorated. It’s a family oriented place. A nice selection of vegetarian meals which was very nice. Had the spinach enchilada which was quite good filled with lots of spinach. Service was fine — we were well attended to & the plates were ready in good time. The chips & salsa were very good! Sure, I’ll stop there again for lunch.

OPENAGAINASOF11:00AMYESTERDAY(2÷18÷15) after rebuilding from fire last year. Still as good as ever! Haven’t had anything on the menu that’s not delicious and service is great even when the place is packed out!

Food was awesome!!! Party of 5, and that seemed to be a little tough for them to stay ontop of drink refills and chips and salsa. We had to ask for anything to be refilled. 1 of the 5 orders was completely wrong(spinach enchiladas ordered and received Pollo del Crema… Hmmm). 3 of us were vegetarians and the vegetable selection was amazing! Can’t give more stars due to slower service and a screwed up order. But very busy and good food.

The wife and I were traveling through town… all 6 buildings of it or so… lol. It was clear that the locals loved the place and when we tasted the food we knew why. Authentic Mexican food. Casual atmosphere and in the middle of nowhere! try it if you are ever out that way, but I couldn’t imagine why you would be.

We came here on the Unilocal tip that they have gluten free options but this was absolutely not the experience we had. Do not even try going here if you are gluten free.

Possibly the best Mexican food in the valley, which has a large Hispanic population and lots of Mexican restaurants. Prices are reasonable and friendly service superior. Try some of the dishes besides tacos, burritos etc. Favorites include Polla a la crema and the shrimp/mushroom in butter entrees. Would be great if they added a fish dish to their seafood options.

Grubbin. Vegetarian friendly too. Had a black bean & spinach burrito(with rice, mushrooms and corn in a whole wheat tortilla) topped with enchilada sauce, avocado & cheese. Was better than it might sound!

I can’t give this place 5 stars because I’m a Texan who knows awesome Mexican food, but for Washington this is a great stop. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, and it’s located next to a noisy car wash, but the service was wonderful and food was out fast. We came as a party of ten after wine tasting and everyone was happy with their meal. Solid tortillas and ranchero beans all around. I had the pollo al chipotle. and really enjoyed the mix of chicken and veggies in a nice slightly spicy sauce. The only real gripe was portion size: huge. Even the hungriest among us couldn’t finish. Oh, and the rice was only ok, but everything else was excellent. Would surely stop by again.
