This place was recommended to us for good BBQ and mac and cheese, just like the a lot of the reviews say. I was very skeptical because I’m a BBQ snob from KC and because I’ve gone too many places that had«great mac and cheese» that was bland at best. We ordered 2 lil’s(basically little sandwiches; 1 brisket and 1 pork), large mac and cheese, nuclear wings, and a greens salad with hazelnuts. Everything was delicious with the exception of the pulled pork which was a little sweet for my taste but was still good. I would absolutely come again to get my fix on any number of things(BBQ, mac and cheese, or hot(hot) wings)!

Perfect place for post skiing meal and much better than anything else I have had in the area. I stopped here with some friends after a day of skiing at Hood and ordered their brisket sando and mac and cheese. Order that mac and cheese.

Terrific find. On road trip and stumbled upon this great spot in the mountains. Had«dawg of the day» hot dog(house made sausage), their signature Mac-n-cheese with a side of bbq brisket, and side salad. All deelish! The atmosphere was super cozy and very friendly staff.

I have never had so much fun at a bar as I have had here. Been a few times and I absolutely love it! The people are incredibly friendly, good beer on tap, live music, huge out door area, fire pit, and more. I have not had the food but I have heard good things. I freaking love this place! Best joint on the mountain!

Good food great atmosphere! We happened to stop by here because the restaurants in Government Camp were all packed and I’m glad we did. I had the Mac n cheese with a side of steamed broccoli and it was amazing! There was a band playing toward the front of the restaurant but they let us sit in the back where it was more quiet. The decorations were adorable… Sort of like if a person went binge shopping at a unique eclectic antique store. Very cool. Service was good and prices were decent. I didn’t care for the marionberry cobbler mainly because I think cobbler should be soft and doughy and crispy but maybe there’s more than one way to make a cobbler. It’s ok because I shouldn’t be ordering dessert anyway after that rich cheese sauce… yummy!

What a find on the way to Mt Hood! Painted Hills meat in the burger! Burger meat can be scary, so big thanks to the owners for caring! Mac and cheese was delicious! Salad had healthy greens/kale, and my favorite manchego cheese. The waitress was genuinely helpful and kind. Comfy, friendly atmosphere too.

Amazing food, a fun environment, great service. Perfect end to a long day! This was our first time eating here and the lighting and environment drew us in as we drove by. Stopped not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised to find a warm and eclectic pub with really great food.

Second winter in a row that we’ve been here and we love it. The atmosphere is fun — friendly staff, music, family-friendly, fun décor — and the food is awesome. Such a dynamic menu with tons of variety to mix & match. As everyone has said, the Mac & Cheese is some of the best anywhere. I also had the tofu bbq, which was really good, and the sauteed beets that were excellent. We also all had the marionberry cobbler with ice cream, which is SOGOOD! And the prices are totally reasonable. I have a feeling that we’ll be back again next year. Can’t wait!

I had the sampler plate and It is a must try. My girlfriend had the Ruben and it was amazing to. Garlic cheesy fries are a must get to. I am definitely going to come back here and bring all my friends and family.

First things first, their Moroccan Coffee is the realest.(Shout out Iggy one time.) Seriously though, this drink is delicious and potent. It is essentially a Spanish coffee(151, baileys, sugar on rim, coffee and whip cream.) It is served in a tall glass, almost like a wine glass. It’s worth the $ 9 and you should only have one. The chef is from Texas so there is a lot of BBQ on the menu. I had the pulled brisket which was great. I went with the«mystery BBQ sauce» and it was okay. It was a vinger based sauce which isn’t my favorite. They have many others to choose from though. My friend went with the Mac n’ Cheese which was tasty. One of the things I loved about the menu was you could add a whole slew of extras on to whatever you ordered. My friend added bacon cubes and pulled brisket to his Mac n’ cheese. He then had a heart attack. Really great food, drinks and the décor in this place is unique. It definitely screams Oregon. I would highly recommend stopping in if you’re on your way to or from the Mountain.

A must for any Mt Hood trip! Really good food, super friendly service and cozy ambiance. There was a line to get in before it even opened! We had truffle oil fries and mac and cheese with bacon cubes… YUMMMMM. I’m going to have to make this stop every time I go to the mountain now!

We went around dinner time but got a table for 4 right away. They immediately said they were out of burger patties. We ordered chicken strips for our kids only to be told a few minutes later that they were out of those also. They nickel and dime for eveything from dipping sauce to burger add-ons to fries. I had the pulled pork ludacrous. The food was good and fast with a friendly wait staff.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to Skyway for a couple of years now. It is our absolute favorite place for BBQ, though I would argue favorite spot for a meal out in general! Great atmosphere. Love the outdoor seating in the summer. Haven’t made it to a music event here yet, but it is on our list. We have ordered the exact same thing every time we have visited because it is just THATGOOD. An order of Olaffub wangs to start(look them up– you NEED to know about them) followed by the Brisket Sando with pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and chipotle barbecue. Have never left disappointed! Killer staff as well. Our only complaint is that they aren’t closer– we would never leave.

Stopped into Skyway Bar & Grill on my way back to Portland after a day of snowshoeing. Best food & drinks on Mt Hood! Christmas lights & fire place add to the cozy atmosphere. My friends & I sat at the bar. Lauren & Jarrod provided excellent customer service, didn’t miss a beat. I could go on, but will keep it short. 5 Star rating for sure!

Completely justified great reviews. Among the tippy top of best BBQ I’ve had in the NW region. A bartender at our hotel recommended it — and it certainly was the utterly surprising icing on top of our staycation. The building is funky, there was Open Mic, conversation-starting décor, gorgeous tin ceiling, community-feel dining room. Sofas by a fireplace. The back fire pit area was our new home after dinner. It reminded me of beer-and-story-time in a backyard growing up. String lights and random structures, statues, and ornaments. But for real: REALLY good food. 100% pleasant experience. Do not pass on the mac.

Aaaaaaaaaaamazing food! My family of three couldn’t get over how delicious EVERYthing was!!! The fried grits in cheese sauce appetizer is an absolute must! The brisket melted in our mouths, and the bacon cubes add on was the perfect touch! The mashers were perfectly made, and the ribs fell right off the bone. The only thing we are bummed about is that we live so far away!

The food here is seriously to DIE for! I get a chaser salad and their salmon almost every time! They have great live music and a wonderful atmosphere. My favorite thing about it is that there is a nice big fireplace you can sit at. Such a laid back place that I recommend to anyone going to!

I love everything about this place. The décor is eccentric and welcoming, both inside and out. They have a huge backyard patio that is adorably decorated and super relaxing on a warm summer afternoon. The staff has always been friendly and attentive… and the food? Oh man, the food is incredible. They have a really great happy hour selection. I typically order the«happy plate» which is 2 pulled pork or tofu sliders & the best mac & cheese you’ve ever had. Prices are on point for the quality and quantity of food you get, regardless of whether it’s happy hour or not. They also have live music somewhat regularly. Do yourself a favor and stop by next time you’re in the area… you won’t be disappointed.

Not what I expected for a barbecue joint. Walking through the door there’s nothing but funky décor and some blues music in the background. Outside has even more of that vibe with lots to take in. Not to mention very comfy. You cannot let your dog even on the back patio though so keep that in mind. They’ve got the drink menu that’s loaded with homemade vodka infusions including a bloody mary with ginger vodka. That’s exactly what I ordered. And they do a good pour as well. Now my favorite. The ginger just gives it a refreshing bite to an otherwise tomato take over. Also, unexpectedly they had barbecued tofu on the menu. First off, we figured when we saw barbecue it would be pretty meat focused. We mentioned this to ourselves on the way in and hoped we could find some salmon(that does barbecue too). We double lucked out in the meat categories. We ended up getting some caesar salads, dressing on the side. Good thing too because their dressing is as thick as mayonnaise and so is the flavor. Salmon was done just perfect. We opted for just a tofu slider. They did it up right and proper. They had cut the tofu in such a way that it was mimicking BBQ faux meat just fine. I myself don’t like sweet barbecue but my partner enjoyed it quite well. We had just come off a nice hike at Mirror Lake and this is a perfect reintroduction into the real world(or is that the faux world), well, with just the right amount of weird.
