This weekend special is a poblano cheddar burger with roasted tomatoes, crispy shallots, honey dijonaise, bibb lettuce on one of their homemade english muffins. It has just the right amount of heat, the muffin holds up to the juicyness and the meat is of Excellent quality. Get hash browns with it for a filling meal to get you through the day.

Love love love La Copine. Best menu in town by a long shot and the owners and staff are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Favorite restaurant in town. Only open Thursday through Sunday and I miss them every single Monday through Wednesday. Femme Fatale Wild & Free Le Potage Hen of The Woods

Most amazing brunch ever! Coffee is delicious and the begniets are to die for! I ordered the Femme Fatale, and my husband ordered the Hen in the Woods. Delicious! We sampled each other’s and could not decided which was better! Beyond words really. The atmosphere is very French/Modern which is contrasting to the location of middle of nowhere desert. Very pleasant. The service was excellent, staff friendly and attentive. Seating is limited to be prepared to wait if you have a few in your group. I promise it’s worth it! We sat at the counter and had a front row view of the food line! We love this place! As locals, we will be making this a regular spot for us! Cheers!

My my my. WOW. I wanted to eat every meal here. The egg sandwich was nearly perfect(I could have done with a little less aioli). Homemade english muffin, perfectly spiced sausage, and crips greens. The tartine was wonderful. How they get such fresh salmon in the middle of the desert… The rib sandwich will keep you fed for days(and stay in your teeth)! And the beignets are heavenly. On Saturday and Sunday mornings it seems like everyone from Pappy and Harriet’s files in there to recharge before a hike. My only complaint(and it is so small) is I wish they had better coffee. They source the coffee from New York and it is batch brewed. Why not source coffee from one of the many wonderful roasters in LA and offer a chemex or V60 or a french press(even though I do not like French presses)?

Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing ambiance. When they accidentally messed up our order they handled it really well and were so nice about it. The crumpet is delicious. I don’t traditionally enjoy regular sausage but this sausage was amazing. The *insert name for the donut hole type thing that I forgot the name of* was also amazing. The coffee grounds mixed into the sugar was the perfect touch. Also the coffee is great quality and very smooth. Overall amazing.

I really want to tell you NOT to eat here because I want to keep this gem all to myself! Seriously the BESTEVER. My husband and I eat here once a week, minimum. It’s that good. Everything is made in house, even the condiments. The food is so well thought out, you can tell that Chef Nikki has a ton of heart and real love for what she does. She’s like an artist and wizard wrapped up into tasty dishes. Claire is so warm and always welcoming. These gals really care about their business and their guests. It honestly doesn’t get any better than La Copine.

In love with La Copine, the food is creative, beautiful and very good. Started the meal off with coffee and beignets, the hash browns were the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth the drive into nowheresville.

Service was friendly and the rib sandwich was great. Conveniently down the street from Integratron; a real diamond in the rough.

Once again my wife had me driving out into God’s country in search of food. As we were driving along, I was thinking to myself, «Self, am I going to be one of those problems that gets buried in the desert? Is this the big casino?» As we pulled up to La Copine, it looked like a burger joint. It is located in a place called Flamingo Heights. I found the name kind of funny. The décor is very plain. I think they call it industrial. The menu only has about 9 items, plus some sides. For starters, we had the Beignets. I mean, why not? We thought they were just ok. My mom and I ordered the Wild and Free. I have to say it was THEBEST salad I ever had. It was just the right amount of «stuff». There were so many different textures and flavors. The dressing was a pablamo-vinaigrette and it really pulled the salad together. My wife had the Biggie Shorty. It was a sandwhich that braised short rib, carmelized onion and fig jam. I tried it and it was really good. My wife enjoyed it. Just an FYI, they do not serve soft drinks or booze here. We ordered the pomegranate-lime spritzer. It was different, but i would have liked a coke or a glass of wine. Other than that, I have no complaints. This is definitely a destination restaurant. I mean, why else would one schlep to Flamingo Heights. The crowd was a good mix of people. The menu has something for everyone. You just have to not be afraid to give it a try. So if you are ever in Flamingo Heights, give La Copine a try. Try the Wold and Free salad. You will be going through withdrawals for the rest of the day.

Went for a lovely brunch today, the place was bustling at 12.15…coffee very good, topped up regularly. The salmon tartine was good according to my lunch partner… I tried a little of the bread, very good, the cream cheese had a hint of dill in it(?) too. The Royal Crumpet was good, house made sausages, egg, arugula on a house made muffin, with hollandaise. We finished with the beignets, which were delicious, my lunch companion remarked that they were better than the ones she had in New Orleans!!! All in all a lovely lunch. Spoke to one of the owners, she said apparently you can BYOB, they have no problem with that, not sure if there is a corkage fee. Will be going back.

Amazing food and service. Gives the best places in LA and NY a run for their money. And it’s in Flamingo Heights! F*** yeah! Too bad that dude gave it one star because he came when it was closed. Check the hours buddy!

It may be great, but it seems to be never open! Well, good news. It was open, today. The food was great, the girls who run it are personable, and the menu is sort of eclectic. Clean, neat, well decorated, very enjoyable. Trying new, interesting food makes it more of an event than just a meal. Denny’s it is not! And that’s a good thing. It’s new, and I wish them the best of success with this interesting place, especially for the location. French food, in Landers? Go, eat, enjoy!

Highly recommended! We were in town for two days, so dropped by La Copine(after seeing their menu in our AirBnB trailer — Annie & Tony at Lazy Sky) for breakfast. So good that we had to return again the next day. We had the Royal Crumpet(with the vegetarian sausage, which was great) and the Smoke & Hash. Both so tasty! Then had the beignets, which were a nice little dessert to end the meal. Some neat drink options, though hopefully at some point they’ll add some more(maybe a non-Earl Grey black tea, or hot chocolate?). Great ambience and friendly owners and servers. Definitely do check it out!

The«word on the wash» is that you ain’t done nothing right right in your life, till you visit La Copine and experience the food. Do yourself a favor… go. This place holds a magic that you just don’t find many times in life.

After seeing the pictures of La Copine available online, I was really looking forward to trying this new, local spot. My wife, a bit hesitant about the idea of eating at a small restaurant in Flamingo Heights, came along for the trip. We couldn’t have been happier. The owners/staff were incredibly warm and inviting. They are new to the area and are sure to be a welcomed addition. The food, besides being delivered to our table exceptionally quick, was some of the best in the area. You can definitely taste the love La Copine puts into the menu. This is a great restaurant that we could recommend to anyone. They didn’t even bat an eye at my wife’s vegan modifications.

Rave: La Copine is amazing! Fresh, wholesome food. We needed a place that wasn’t all processed crap. Small menu, but it will change every two weeks with a few staple items. Friendly owners and nicely decorated interior. Before you say all the way out there, it took me 11 mins to get here from Yucca. & the prices I’m sure people wouldn’t be happy with but you get what you pay for.

Wow! I can’t say that the amazing breakfast that I had at La Copine came as a surprise. Everyone I’ve talked to that’s been there had raved about it. And you can add my name to the list. Located in the old Hero catering building, you’d never know it was the same place. The décor is beautiful! Minimalist chic but also very comfortable. It was bright and sunny and super clean. There’s a really neat art piece on the wall made by one of the employees. You can tell everyone that works there is invested in the happiness of their customers and the success of the business. Okay… the food. I went with a friend and we both had the ginger spritzer. They were delightful. Fresh and zingy. I had the coffee and it was perfect. Spot on perfect cup of breakfast coffee. We shared an order of the beignets. They come to the table warm and coated in a generous dusting of coffee sugar! Yum! There were 3 in the order and I would have eaten them all if I was alone! For my meal I had the breakfast sandwich, which the name escapes me at the moment, but it’s wonderful! It’s like a fusion Eggs Benedict breakfast sandwich. Delicious sausage patty with poached egg, hollandaise, fresh greens and a whole wheat English muffin. Delicious! My friend had the hash dish with sweet potato. I can’t remember its name either. But again, it was delicious and lovely to look at. The staff, including one of the owners were attentive, not to mention sweet as can be! This little spot on the border of Flamingo Heights/Landers is truly a gem in a vast desert of «meh» food experiences. I hope they stay for a long time!

We had an amazing Brunch yesterday at La Copine! Absolutely delicious! We tried practically everything on the menu: **Beignets w/coffee sugar — holy crap! Am I in New Orleans? **Femme Fatale — the thickest most scrumptious French Toast ANYWHERE!!! **SMOKE&HASH — a spin off the traditional with an amazing vegetarian /Mexicali twist. Fabulous! **TARTINE — with house cured smoked salmon and caper cream cheese. Divine and enough for 2 to share! **WILD&FREE — hands down the most delicious salad around with wild rice and free range chicken. **LEPOTAGE — late summer melon gazpacho — I could take a bath in it. In addition, we had sides of the house made pork sausage, flax & whey english muffins and pickled vegetables. All absolutely delicious and I will say again — it was all HOUSEMADE! Who makes their own English Muffins and Sausage? Chef Nikki does, that who! Hats off to Chef Nikki and Claire for bringing a delicious bistro to the high desert — FINALLY!
