As good as it gets– Diane was referred to us by our realtor, Madeline at Cheri Miller and I cannot thank her enough for that connection! Having just come out of a near financial disaster due to major medical bills, I was a nervous wreck going into this process. Not only did Diane provide excellent guidance navigating through some murky waters, she got us an AMAZING rate at the same time. She appears to thrive on a challenge and is a super quick, to the point, no-​holds-​barred professional — which I love. She also happens to be very kind and personable at the same time– a rare combo! **Best in the area** My husband and I moved to 29 from Hawaii. We were planning to live on base, but it started to take a while to get housing so we figured we minus well invest. I found a house through Osgood Reality (highly recommend Bill Osgood also) and he referred me to Diane, and Thank God he did. It was truly a blessing to utilize her services. My husband and I viewed a house on a Friday, and called Diane late that evening and met with her on Sunday, her day off all while she was moving out of her that she just sold! It amazed me how she put us at such a high priority. From the moment we walked into her office I knew we chose the right person. She quickly accommodated us with water and snacks. We ended up looking at another house that I fell more in love with. She knew we needed to get into the house as soon as possible. We viewed the house on Jan 17^th and got the keys Feb 3^rd. She is exceptional with communication’ deadlines and getting you into your home within weeks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. She is very sincere, she sent us a $ 50 home depot card for our new house! About 6 months ago I started looking into moving my family to the high-​desert from metro LA. It was a big change & having never bought a house before, I was intimidated by the whole process. Luckily I have a friend in the area who recommend a great realtor (Karen Eckenroth) and Diane Giannelli @ First Nations for the mortgage.
From the moment I met Diane I felt very at ease & taken care of. She was welcoming and there was a good mood in her office, including in the other clients. She explained everything clearly and alerted me to some surprising mortgage programs I wasn’t aware of. She was also concerned with the realities of our young family’s overall transition plan, which I appreciated, having recently lost my mother. To this day I think of her as like a cool aunt– always warm & sincere if I call w/​a question; always asks about my family.
But make no mistake– she is a no-​nonsense business professional! Everything happened just as she said it would, we got approved at a great rate and she knew exactly how to handle every step in the (not-​so-​fun) escrow process. I always felt confident in her competence as she clearly has a very strong work ethic and takes pride in everything she does. Her office and appearance was always immaculate, and she has an eager & helpful staff to assist.
If I have one «complaint» it’s that I couldn’t always get her on the phone when I had whimsical little questions here and there during the escrow process (although the staff could always answer these questions readily). But that’s a healthy sign overall, I think– like difficulty in getting reservations at a great restaurant. She’s busy because she’s good.
Best way to summarize might be: after meeting Diane the first time, relieved, I spoke to my wife and told her, «I just met the Oprah of home loans!»
