This review has nothing to do with the technical services offered here. It deals strictly with patient accommodation and comfort. My wife and I have each had procedures done here and the technical aspect is acceptable. However, the patient accommodation and comfort aspect sucks swamp water. A patient is forced to park at the rear of the building but is not allowed to enter the building from the rear. You must walk an extra block in the cold and rain in order to get to the entrance at the front of the building. Handicapped patients are no exception. As for the waiting room, that, too, is far less than acceptable. People using the waiting room are there because they have to be, not out of choice. But the person who designed the waiting room as well as the matter of ingress and egress needs to find a new line of work(flipping burgers comes to mind but may prove to be a challenge to this person). The chairs selected for waiting patients to use are the most uncomfortable chairs I can recall ever having to use. They’re actually painful to sit in for any length of time. And the single couch provided, although it at least is padded, is so low that elderly or handicapped patients have great difficulty getting up out of it. It appears to have been purchased at a thrift store, along with the mis-matched chairs. In summary, the entire matter of ambiance with regard to the patient is pathetic. You can be sure that in the future, if any of our doctors suggests that we have some procedure performed at Advanced Imaging, we’ll insist on being referred elsewhere.

I HATEGOINGTOTHISOFFICE. I have been to this office on two occasions. I have one more appointment that I must keep. I have always been a patron of Sutter Buttes Imaging and have always been pleased with their service. I came to Advanced Imaging because my Health and Wellness office referred me. The technicians in both appointments were pleasant and professional. However, the front office staff was cold, unwelcoming and seemed unhappy with their jobs. I was greeted by two ladies on the right side of the counter, who seemed annoyed when I greeted them and told them I had an appointment. They made me feel like I «the patient» was bothering them and interrupting their personal conversation. They were rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. I did not say anything on the first visit. On the second visit, I received the same type of greeting and unprofessionalism. I mentioned it to the technician and again did not say anything at the time. I left thinking if I felt like this I wonder how other patients must feel. Both times I saw the same behavior towards other patients. I decided to call back to ask for Dr. Chege or an office manager. I was asked who this was and I told them and they transferred me to a Veronica who has never returned my call to this date. I then called back and they asked again who this was and their response was a grunt of annoyance and so I asked«Why do you sound annoyed?» and the girl changed her tone and transferred me to another lady named Amy. She was very pleasant and helpful and said she would address the behavior. These front office ladies need some training in customer service. They need to be grateful they have a job, and realize that some patients come in nervous as it is about their appointment or what’s going on with them medically that they don’t need some rude, cold and unprofessional behavior. I will be happy to get my final appointment over with and will most definitely tell everyone I know and at the high school I work at about this office and the immature and rude front office staff.

The staff is always great. I’ve been going there for years. I’m talking over 30 times in 5 years. The ultrasound tech is super sweet and really tries to make the experience as pleasant as possible.

The front desk staff need to be trained on the laws of HIPPA. Too young and too rude for important patients coming in with serious health issues!
