Great place to find a surprise bargain. Cheese, chocolate and frozen goods are always great. Also special prices on cosmetics, OTC, and pet supplies. Staff is SUPER — always go out of their way to find what you are looking for and very friendly. Be adventurous — give them a try. You will undoubtedly be back again!

I can’t understand how this got such a good review. I ordered take– out. It was a quick service, but the food was so mediocre. The shrimp egg foo yung has very little shrimp; the chicken with baby corn was mostly corn; and the hot and sour soup had no hint of sourness. Having tasted real Chinese food(Philly and NYC Chinatown), this was so disappointing.

its not bad, but if you see something thats named brand take more than you need it might not be there again. they carry a wide selection of things. wines, produce, meat, house hold items, beauty products, yard items, and cookware. milk and eggs are the best prices. be sure to check dates on diary, meat, etc. products have seen a handful expired. oh and they do have a clearance section in back near bathroom.

Great priced products, except sometimes if not some of the foods are close to their expiration date… Its a nice place to buy your products here for last minute items, but of you’re gonna do your grocery shopping here, you’re better off on other grocery stores where the life shelf is 2x as long… Store is neat though, great employees., if only there products is not sold close to their expiration dates, I’ll bump up my ratings… Overall, great place to buy junk foods, bathroom essentials, candy, wine, flowers, Ice cream, dried goods, and that’s about it. ;)

Great store! We get a lot of our meat and produce here, plus all of our wine. Low prices, great selection, and really amazing staff. Highly recommend!

After discovering Grocery Outlet(then called Canned Food Outlet) years ago in another town, I told my husband that any town we moved to thereafter would have to have a Grocery Outlet to be in the running. Yuba City’s Grocery Outlet reinforces my love affair with this chain! I don’t live in Yuba City, but I shop this particular store frequently when I’m in town. Here’s why.. . Staff: Either the owners are amazingly fortunate at finding highly trained, highly likeable, service-oriented employees or they train them to be that way. I always leave that store with a great impression of whichever clerk served me! They don’t grouse about packing my weird assortment of shopping bags from home; they help me transfer from a little handbasket on wheels to a big shopping cart to get my purchases to my car when I buy way more than I’d planned(which is most trips, it seems); they look at me, smile, engage in conversation, tell me how much I saved as they hand me my receipt; and don’t act like I’m interfering with their day. WONDERFULSTAFF! Prices: This is the store I hit first. Whatever I don’t find here, I can pick up elsewhere afterward, if I decide I still want/need it. Selection: As with other Grocery Outlets, a trip to this store is a little like Christmas morning. You know some things you’re probably going to find, but there are always surprises. The stock changes constantly, which is part of the fun of shopping here. Name-brand frozen goods(including premium ice creams), canned goods(a lot of items I wouldn’t buy at full price at regular supermarkets), fresh produce, toiletries(many from premium brand names), nutritional supplements, plants, products for pets, dairy(I stock up on yogurt at G.O.), wine and beer, snack foods, baked goods, an impressive cheese section and more are available. Organic/Vegetarian/Vegan: Wow! Grocery Outlet has really developed these lines in the past couple of years! As I cook for vegans and a no-added-sugar eater, I hit these shelves often. Surprise Discoveries: Grocery Outlet has introduced me to boxed lemonade and iced tea, which made for easy Arnold Palmers when I got home. I’ve found unfamiliar but tasty vegan snack bars, wines with labels depicting the types of meat they’re meant to be served with(fun hostess gifts), fun solar lights for the yard and more. The Store Itself: The Yuba City Grocery Outlet moved to a bigger, nicer facility a few years ago. The new store is clean, orderly and, it seems, constantly being improved in terms of display and shelving. Community Service: The Yuba City store has a bin for food donations for local families in need. They donate to a local organization that helps homeless families, and I’ve seen at least one other community group allowed to set up outside their store and collect donated food for folks in need. Kudos to the owners of this store!

Not your regular grocery store but well worth going to. I go for the wine, cheese and lunchmeats and snacks as the prices are always much lower than Winco or Walmart. Jeremy and Amy the owners are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They are very friendly. For wine lovers stop and talk to Mike the wine guy. He is very knowledgable and always has great suggestions. I like finding things there that you wouldnt normally find in a regular grocery store too. We have gotten to try many unique and hard to find food items that we have never seen before. Last we they had THE best coconut gelato. Unfortunatley often times once an item is sold out you wont see it again, but thats what makes grocery outlet fun!

I’ve never been to a Grocery Outlet, but I was pleasantly surprised. Good prices and lots of variety. This is the perfect place to head before going out camping in the area.

There seems to be a Grocery Outlet in almost every town. This one is my favorite, always clean, organized, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. You have to search for the great deals on organic products but worth saving $$. they are really good about checking expiration dates but it always a good idea to check the dates(even at well named stores check the dates) If all Grocery Outlets could be this nice, they set the standard.

Grocery Outlet is interesting, to say the least. I wouldn’t personally go out of my way to come here, but if I’m in the area, it’s worth making a stop. Selection: It’s decent. You can’t necessarily come here looking for a specific item and you certainly can’t come with a grocery list. Shopping here is supplemental to your traditional grocery stores. Their stock is constantly rotating and varying based upon what is shipped in. I’ve heard of this place commonly tagged as the ‘Ross’ of grocery stores, and I agree with the comparison. If you can manage to accept that this isn’t your standard grocery store, but rather an outlet, then you’ll come to appreciate the selection that they do offer. It’s always fun to see what items and deals you can find. Value: Shopping here provides a low cost alternative for those in need of the savings. They have both name brands and off-the-wall brands, both at surprisingly cheap prices. It would be impossible to match the costs on most of the items elsewhere. At the bottom of the receipt, it displays how much money you saved. Generally speaking, my savings are almost always significantly more than my spendings. Customer Service: Excellent. They go out of their way to help you, whether it be finding a specific item or getting you checked out as quickly as possible.
