One of the store clerks is real nice, and that’s my biggest positive. My big negative is that the prices are, as far as I’ve experienced, well above the state minimum and those available elsewhere relatively nearby. In the one case I checked out, the price was 15% higher. Keep that in mind. What you’re paying for is location. Maybe their rent is higher than elsewhere, or maybe you’re just paying a surcharge for being one of the many patrons who give the place its good traffic volume in this easy location. Or a bit of both.

Fully stocked store. You can find the best beers from local breweries to whatever liquor you can imagine, at a great price!

the night crew is a bunch of fun dudes who get to see Ypsi’s cream of the crop. I’ve met drag queens who taught me japanese words, and singing drunkards while waiting in line– so I can only imagine that they have a good time. the beer selection is nice, and if you’re sober, the counter guys will let you know what they think of it– which I think is a nice perk sometimes. they’ve got the whole shebang of arizonas and other mixers, general junk food and overpriced drugstore varieties of groceries. categorizing this as a «fruit & veggie» place is a joke though. The closest you’ll get to fruit is the Everfresh neon sugar water.

Eagles Market is your typical neighborhood party store with alcohol, basic grocery items, a lottery terminal, pizza-by-the-slice and magazines in plastic wrappers. I’ve lived two blocks away for the last seven years or so, and am happy to say that they’ve never failed me when when I’ve needed Doritos and Arizona Iced Tea for dinner, Ben & Jerry’s or sugar for my morning coffee. There’s a $ 5 minimum for credit card purchases but they also have an atm inside if you need cash. When you visit, admire yourself on the security camera displays behind the counter or ponder why there’s a moped on top of the building.
