It was good. I enjoyed the ultimate grilled cheese with its ripe avocado, bacon and fresh tomato. I also had the broccoli cheddar soup with it, it was good but not very creamy. The service was just fine but not great. oh, and the bathrooms were clean.

Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere. Go here if you’re super hungry cuz they load up your plate. It’s always a little chilly there but the food is totally worth it!

Great spot for Sunday breakfast. It’s busy everyday but it’s worth wait when they are slammed. Always good food, never had to send it back to the kitchen. Polite staff and food is right on spot.

Breakfast here twice within two weeks. Typical breakfast spot, very popular with the local crowd. Nice portions, good service and food well done. Can’t go wrong with two eggs over medium and link sausage and toast. This is a place to visit. Great for families, friends and singles.

My husband and I like this place quite a lot, especially since their move from Douglas road in Oswego. The atmosphere and«antique like» décor is warm and downhome country. We have always had great service – the waitresses are so friendly and very accommodating. The reason for only stars is because, while the breakfasts are tasty and plentiful, the lunches/dinners are mediocre. Things just kinda taste the same – no real flavor, lacking proper seasoning. It’s hit & miss; so I often wonder if they change cooks frequently?

Nice and clean pancake house with lots of choices for breakfast food. Just up my alley although my wife probably would prefer some other place. The portions given were ample and everything I found delicious. Coffee was decent — better than Starbucks but not as good as Dunkin Donuts. It also had a homey, home town sort of feel which I liked. Very clean.

Excellent menu! They have a great selection when it comes to breakfast items and the service is usually quite fast. Most of the dishes are things you’d see at other breakfast places, but there are a handful that do set them apart. I recommend this restaurant to people regularly and don’t see myself stopping going here anytime soon.

The flies were just awful in the restaurant. However, food is very good.:) thick bacon.

OK, their coupons are useless to me when you have to buy a drink to use them. Just my opinion. Very friendly, good food, but $ 30 breakfast for two is just ridiculous(sometimes more). They close around 3PM.

As for anyone that knows me, my wife and I recently moved out to Oswego, otherwise known at the edge of the earth. Lately, we have been trying to get out and explore our new surroundings, but have been so tied down with getting our new living situations in order. Anyways, last Friday, my wife awoke with a craving for a damn good breakfast. I agreed, as I can never pass up indulging my face in a pile of chocolate chip pancakes. She hit up Unilocal in search for a great breakfast joint that wasn’t a hike to get to, and that’s how we found Southern Belles. It was the day after Thanksgiving, and we got there about 10:30am. The place was slow, but I didn’t expect it to have crowds of people. The menu is extensive with all of your traditional breakfast staples and standard lunch options. They did have a separate sheet of weekly specials, and that day they were offering up some pumpkin chocolate french toast heaven on a plate and a biscuits and gravy 5 egg omelet! Obviously, I went to MY staple, a stack of buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips and my wife went for the biscuits and gravy 5 egg omelet. The food came out fast. We probably only waited about 10 minutes. Impressive. We dug in. First, my wife’s dish — it was delicious, and just mounds of eggs delicately blanketing two fluffy biscuits drowning in sausage gravy. The meal was on point! Very delicious, full of flavor, and she could only finish half! Now my pancakes thoough? They were good, light and fluffy. Huge 3 stack that covered the plate. The sad thing? BARELYANYCHOCOLATECHIPS!!! WHEREARETHEY? I was disappointed the lack of the ooey gooey chocolate I was looking for! Most bites, I was lucky to have A chip in it. Note: PLEASEFORTHELOVEOFCHOCOLATE, ADDMORECHOCOLATE!!! Prices are fair, coffee is good. We will be back and hopefully they read this and I get more chocolate up in my belly. Either way, go here. Great food, great service!

When you walk through the doors, you’ll know this place is different. By the time you’re finished being overwhelmed by the look of a primitive resale shop, one of the friendly hosts will seat you. Southern Belle’s has an expansive menu with many options. Don’t let the prices fool you, the portion sizes are very generous! When it comes to breakfast items, everything is absolutely exceptional besides the omelettes(I’ve tried them a few times and they are just ok) The waffles, pancakes, and biscuits with gravy do not disappoint. If you are in the mood for lunch, the soup and rolls are homemade and absolutely delicious. They are known for the cream of chicken and rice, you won’t be disappointed. The service here is excellent. Every waitress is friendly, helpful, and attentive. While a bit more expensive than other local breakfast spots, the food speaks for itself. Try it once, you’ll be back for more.

Breakfast was delicious. The mexican skillet is perfect! Friend had the Irish skillet; corn beef was smushy preferred if it was cooked better. Staff is friendly very family oriented.

We come here at least once a week. The waitresses remember what we order and we have never had bad service or food… ever. We are talking like two to three years! I am not fond of the gyros, but it might be a preference on my part. The place is great for families with children. The service is quick, even when there are big groups. The menu is extensive, but be careful, the portions are massive!

Exceeded expectations! Ordered the Mexican skillet with eggs over easy and it was delicious. The pancakes with the fruit topping upgrade us a good move. Coffee is better then a typical diner. Friendly and smiling service a bit on the relaxed side. Cozy and comfortable family environment. Very clean dining room. I came on a Monday, mid-morning. Based on the other reviews, I do not believe I would have a comparable experience during peak hours and weekends so I’m highly recommending coming during the off hours if you want a more personal and relaxed experience

Great food(skirt steak anything is always good and the pancakes are solid) and great service. My biggest complaint is that it is riddled with flies. It is difficult to enjoy a meal because the flies are everywhere. Not sure if staff are propping the doors open for a smoke break but there are just too many.

I have never had a bad meal here. The portions are large for the price, the servers are always friendly and fast, and I like the décor. I am a regular because I enjoy a good breakfast.

My husband and I aren’t really eggs, bacon and pancakes for breakfast, kind of people. Needless to say, we struggle to find something good to eat when we go out for breakfast. Luckily, we were able to order off the lunch menu at 10:30. Unfortunately, the food was not good. I ordered cream of spinach soup and a Cesar salad. The soup had the consistency of a cheese dip and no flavor at all. The salad was romain lettuce with dressing and croutons. I didn’t eat my soup, and told them I didn’t like it, was charged full price for my meal. Only giving two stars because the waitress was pleasant. But, I’d never eat here again.

I went here with an old friend for breakfast this morning. When we first walked in, she exclaimed that the place was cute. She set it at least 5 more times before we left, and so I surmise that this place is cute. The server was great. She was very nice, offered good suggestions, and she make sure that the coffee was always filled. I ordered the eggs benedict. It was exactly as I had hoped, darn good. She ordered an Irish skillet, and she said that was really good too. She also ordered orange juice, and marveled at the fact that it was fresh squeezed. Good place. Really good, and cute.
