I went to York Shears for the first time today after hearing lots of great things and couldn’t have been happier. I’ve lived in York for five years now and wish that I came sooner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff attentive and professional. Brenda, the owner, did a great color for me. She was great to chat with and made me feel very comfortable. I can’t wait to go back for a cut. It’s amazing how a great fresh new look can brighten your day. I would highly recommend York Shears and Brenda. I also can’t wait to try some of their other services like esthetics and nails.

Ok, my hair stylist left and so must I. The new owner is rude, does not conduct herself in a professional manner, appears to be lazy and constantly complains about not having any money. Yikes! Perception is everything. To take hundreds of dollars from customers for anything else other than services rendered is unethical. I felt like a hypocrite going there, but the staff is very nice, professional and good at their job. Now that my hair stylist of 9 years has left, it’s time for a change. If you haven’t gone here, yet, don’t. There are plenty of other salons and barbers in and all around York to experience.

Brenda Peabody has gone above and beyond to keep my hair looking beautiful. I’ve been her client for over two years and even get compliments on my hair when I am «due» for touch ups. She is a beautiful spirit that has also become a friend. Her generosity towards the community and her country is inspiring as well. Keep up the great work!
