I called the store and spoke with Mike in Lumber. I explained to him the situation. He advised me come in and he’d see what he could do.
THE GOOD…
–plenty of parking
–upon walking to lumber section Mike walked over to me and asked if I was the one who called… the fact that he actually remembered was great
–he measured the section I needed gone just to confirm exact amount I noted on the wood
–he had saw machine cut it precisely where it needed to be
Overall, I’d return to this Hope Depot simply because of this experience.

I wanted to buy new registers for the new floors we installed on the 1st floor. While I was looking at registers I got kicked off the aisle so 2 employees could put a pallet away. They drove a fork lift down the aisle, blocked off the aisle so I couldn’t go down it, and then started chit chatting with the pallet still on the fork truck. Almost 5 minutes later I gave up as the pallet was still not put away and went a block down the road to Lowe’s to buy the registers I needed.

Home Depot in York has not met my expectations. We went in looking for mortar repair and a lawn mower and failed on both accounts. The staff was knowledgeable but the store just didn’t have what we were looking for in stock, or at least not the quantity that we needed. Lowes has slightly higher prices but they do actually have the items in stock when I want to buy them and that goes a long ways.

Sure they are there for you when you buy but If there ever becomes a problem with your order for a new washing machine they will not help you at all in fact they will not even care of you decide to cancel your order due to lack of assistance. Never shopping here again I ordered a washing machine and it came three days after original delivery day given when it arrived they put a huge dent in it getting it off the truck and then it took them five days to inform me when I would even be scheduled to receive a new one they could care less I have two babies and haven’t had a washing machine for three weeks. Absolutely awful experience

i went in here looking for a washer and dryer. upon entering the store i was immediately asked if i needed help finding something and was directed to the right area. the gentlemen that was staffing this area was filling in for another coworker but he was still able to give a lot of good advice on the products, and even sought out another employee to get answers to my more specific questions. this location has really great customer service!
