This is a fun, inexpensive course that unfortunately suffers due to what I presume is a lack of preventative maintenance. The positives: The strange location of this course added to the quirky fun. It’s situated on what I assume what once or is the old Rutter farm, which makes for an unusual landscape with a gas station to one side and live dairy cows on the other, just over a hill, the entirety of which is surrounded by the urban sprawl of York, PA. The course is old-school, with loops and ramp obstacles that I loved in courses I played as a kid, but that I seem to see less of in contemporary courses. There is a food stand collocated on the property offering shaved ice and other food stand basics, however I did not sample any of the food. The course has a bonus«19-th hole» that gives out a free game on a hole-in-one, and eats the ball regardless. I love those! The negatives: A lack of maintenance has damaged the course in a way that ruins some of the fun for even the most casual mini-golfer. Some of the holes have what I believe are unintentionally steep slopes where the surface was once flat, possibly due to wear and ground movement over time. This means that once one achieves the satisfaction of hitting a particularly difficult ramp or angle, one will likely be disappointed when the ball lands near the hole, then slowly rolls next to the other balls in the same corner of the course. Additionally, the course had a water segment that was only partially operating. A fountain was functioning, but an artificial stream was dry. Conclusion: This is worth visiting at least once if you are in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to play here. I’d consider returning to a refurbished course.

This is a great little minigolf course! It’s a classic old 60s-70s style with statues and simple architecture and obstacles. It used to be owned by Rutter’s, but no longer seems to be — but because of this it has a giant cow on one of the holes… Pretty funny overall. At $ 5 a person, it’s a steal, too. I’d definitely recommend it to others.
