I had a GREAT experience when staying here for my cousin’s wedding. Check in was no problem — rooms were much bigger than I’m used to! Large, modern bathroom(my one complaint is the toilet paper was in an awkward location, kind of behind you when you’re, ahem, seated) and a large living area with a couch in addition to the mini fridge, coffee maker, desk. Not gonna lie, we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary bottle of water, charging station, and in room coffee/tea bags. I liked the tea area in the lobby too! We discovered a complimentary breakfast in the morning. Coffee was chest-hair-inducing, but everything else was fine! The staff were SO friendly and helpful, even the other guests were fun — a group of golf buddies and an electrical work crew(they occupied most of the hotel — lots of smoking at all the entrances). The walls are thin, and I always find hotel rooms to be unnecessarily cold, but this room had EASY thermostat/temp controls. The elevators were small and kind of freaked me out, but I didn’t get trapped. The shower is not conducive to tall people, but the water pressure was great and the water got HOT. Because we didn’t have the room cleaned, they gave us a $ 5 voucher towards the restaurants in the chain, OR you can trade them in for their variety of loyalty points. Despite our small hiccup on the last day(locked out for no reason, the card just stopped working, and the new girl at the desk apparently didn’t know how to program the key cards because our«new» key didn’t work either), I would absolutely stay again. As a matter of fact, I’m going to LOOK for Four Points by Sheraton in the future.

Started out great, staff was great and bed was decently comfortable. But the hot water was barely lukewarm and it was too late for me to even want to deal with it. The bathroom floors are SUPER slick so be very careful. But even then it was still an okay stay. UNTIL I realized my room was right above what I assume is the employee lounge area in the back of the hotel by the dumpsters. I try to be understanding, and the employees were super nice but at 10pm when they were still outside cutting up and talking loudly about inappropriate things I had to be that stick in the mud and call the front desk because I had to be up at 4am for work. When I called and asked if something could be done or if I could change rooms I was told that they would move me to another room. So instead of another employee going out there and quieting them down I had to pack all of my stuff up at 10:30 at night and switch rooms. Ridiculous. Will NEVER stay there again

Four Points by Sheraton, was nice to stay in, while visiting family in town. The staff and service were great. I think the only thing is that some areas need some improvements. A little tlc wouldn’t hurt. Carpets, furniture, lighting fixtures need to be updated. Recommend this hotel for weekend getaway with the family.

I really like this brand and have stayed at many Four Points Sheratons before. I was really surprised at the upkeep– or lack thereof– of this location as a result. I was really disappointed at the multiple missteps during my stay. First, my room doesn’t lock so I have to change rooms, then there is someone’s blond hair on my towels and on the ledge of the bathroom door. Next, I was SO excited to finally hit the gym and just knew that it would be a great experience but– visiting it left me unmotivated and quite disgusted. The pictures taken say it all. Finally, an employee keyed into my room without knocking and I wasn’t dressed! What happened to knocking and announcing? They should really step it up– this one is not comparable to the other similar properties. Best things by far? The bed was very comfortable and the staff at the breakfast buffet and the woman in housekeeping who exchanged my towels were more than amazing. Great customer service does matter!

Do I have to pick a star? Decided to get away for Memorial Day weekend to a place close by. There was a soccer tournament going on so everything for the most part was booked. Looked online it stated that it was a 4 star hotel. Great! Booked the room and headed on our way. The family got checked in and we made our way to our rooms. I have to say the room was fairly large which was nice but the bathroom was small. Did I say the bathroom was small? The room that I stayed did not have an odor but my sister’s room smelled like a latrine and was not as large. So that was the first real uh oh; same price but less room. Did I mention her bathroom was small too? Ok well we were just here for the night we can live with it. Went out to hit the town and all it has to offer. Came back so that our boys could play in the pool. Nice size pool and jacuzzi. Waited until the jacuzzi or spa as they call it was empty to go check it out. Now here is where it gets ugly. When we entered the jacuzzi, there were two ladies and a baby sitting down. Not bad the baby wasn’t bothering anyone. Oh but wait, remember I said there was a soccer tournament going on. That’s right some girls started one by one getting in the pool. My sisters and I mentioned something to them that they were not allowed in the pool and pointing to the sign that said no one under 16 allowed. Their parents were sitting at the table next to the jacuzzi and not once said anything to them. Had they gotten in and sat down, fine but no they were playing around and up down, up down. I came to sit and relax not be splashed with water. Another gentleman came to get in and we had to ask them to move just so he could get in. By this point there were so many people in the jacuzzi that the water was at the rim and flowing over. We called to the front desk to say something because the father of one of the girls came over and was very rude and saying that there is no age limit. Clearly he could not read. The front desk said they were going to send someone down. So who did they send, the handyman to come talk to the parents. So that wasn’t handled properly. By this point I am frustrated so I walk to the front desk and ask to speak to the manager or whoever was in charge. The young lady told me there was no manager on duty. I told her that we had already called down and that the situation was not handled properly. As she began to speak incorrect information, I interrupted her to correct her and she asked me was I going to be quiet so I could listen. Well that did it for me. I am not saying that a customer is always right because I have worked in the retail industry but rudeness is never a way to handle a situation. The next morning we went down for the complimentary breakfast. It was ok. Would not have paid for break if it was not included. It was the usual, hashbrowns, sausage, eggs, pancakes, cereal, muffins, milk and juice. I am not sure what made this hotel a 4 star but it was definitely not. Four Points by Sheraton York I will not be staying at your hotel ever again. Great customer service goes a long way. You can’t give poor service and have a lousy hotel; one or the other.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our very reasonable rate included a decent breakfast, wifi and parking. My only complaint: We spent some time at the hotel bar on the evening of our stay. There was one waitress covering the«restaurant» and bar. She was obviously overwhelmed. I don’t really think she knew what she was doing as she didn’t even know how to make a bloody Mary(ordered by another guest). I felt sorry for her as the bar was packed and there were also a couple of tables occupied in the restaurant, as well as food-to-go orders from other hotel guests. We sat with empty glasses most of the time. Terrible scheduling by management.

Ok. Where do I start with this hotel? Let me first say, I’m a pretty seasoned traveler and I stay often in the York area for business. This was my first time staying here so I’ll start with the pros: Pros. The biggest hotel room I’ve seen in a decade. They are huge. Pretty comfortable bed(this tops my list always as its basically what I come do ultimately do in a hotel room. sleep Big Bathrooms Cons.wifi is so slow dial up would be an improvement Rooms look like they started to remodel and then said aww never mind 155 bucks a night!!! Nuff said. It’s York not NYC

The décor is not bad. The front desk seems friendly. As the other reviews have stated the internet is slow. The wifi connection is strong, its just a very slow connection which randomly drops. I can’t believe a business themed hotel doesn’t have a usable internet connection. I hope the pool is nice since I can get any work done with this connection.

Point-by-Point Location: Great. It’s right off the interstate. Easy in. Easy out. Plenty of parking. Reception & Front Desk: Really nice hotel desk staff. Accommodating, polite, attentive; just great — at any hour of the day or night. Hotel Décor & Style: it really depends which floor you’re on. The lobby is warm and friendly, somewhat modern. Once you’re in the elevator and on other floors, it’s like stepping back in time; to the 1970’s or your Uncle Earl’s feaux-wood paneled basement. The Room: it’s clean… But it too looks like Uncle Earl’s wood paneled basement, but it has a fancy bathroom with a really hard-to-figure-out sink faucet thingy. TV: almost as many awesome channels as Uncle Earl’s ’70’s basement, but no Hi-Def. You might as well stare out the window or just bring an iPad and watch Netflix. WIFI: the only thing worse than no-WIFI is slow-WIFI; so aggravating, soooo sloooooooooow… So much for watching Netflix… Business Center: want to get some work done? Too bad. There isn’t one! Muhahahahahah! Pool & Fitness Area: actually not bad at all. Pool, hot tub, treadmills. On-Site Laundry: this is a welcome feature for anyone who stays more than a few days and prefers do-it-yourself. Near the pool, on the 2nd floor, is 1 washer and 1 dryer. Wash for $ 6. Dry for $ 1. Quarters and detergents are available from the front desk. The Hotel Restaurant: it’s called Trio’s. Now, the people are really nice but the food is just ok. It’s freshly prepared but isn’t really fresh; stale bread, tasteless chicken. To be fair: the prices are modest but so is the food. Plenty of local eateries have better, fresher, tastier food. The Price of Room: $ 145 per night(with tax) is just too much money for this hotel. Other hotels in the area offer more for less. I’ll not stay here again.

Had no problems with this hotel. Great front desk staff, knowledge of the local area a plus. Rooms were nice and well kept. At $ 85 a night through , what a bargain.

BREAKFAST $ 10!!! PAYINGFORROOM $ 135 a night!!! As a frequent traveler I can say Four Points Sheraton is a MOTEL but never can be called hotel. It does not apply only to this location but all. I’ve been to over ten of their locations and now I can judge fairly… First of all they rip off by charging for room $ 135 per night and having me PAYFORBREAKFAST of omelet and sausage $ 10 dollars. Is this a joke??? None of hotels especially charging over $ 100 bucks charge for breakfast. Wherever I stayed breakfast is always included. Second, their linens not white but rather grey and old, furniture is filty and old as well, their pool and hot tub has yellow stained walls, I can keep on and… Simply if you paying that money, NEVERGOTHISHOTEL, you can get MUCH better hotel like Fairfield Inn or Hampton Inn for even CHEAPER price and enjoy way higher quality and FREEBREAKFAST.

This hotel was a life saver ! I previously booked a hotel nearby that was not accommodation or welcoming. So I oped out for a hotel near by, unfamiliar with the area a local was able to recommend four points. The reservation was quick and easy and the staff is friendly and personable. They even sensed my tension from the previous hotel and gave me a complimentary drink. Nice clean room, just bummed about the water jets in the bath tub are not working and the random door in my room, that opened up to a lock door? Not comforting. BUTBESIDETHAT, it’s a great stay.

Really friendly front desk staff, as well as the server Jenn in the breakfast area was lovely and chatty. They offered a $ 10 breakfast buffet which was really just eggs, bacon and sausage, hash browns, and pancakes. They also has cereal and yogurt(and soy milk!!) Not am amazing breakfast, but filling, and considering some hotel breakfasts are upwards of $ 40, it’s not a bad deal if you are hungry. They also have room service breakfasts as an option.

Too bad Unilocal doesn’t have an option for ZEROSTARS. Even by unambitious Four Points standards, this place is a bad choice. The internet is very spotty, and when it does run, it is extremely slow. Worse is the poor management and customer service. We were part of a very large group. 45+ rooms. Even though management knew the hotel was full, they skimped on staffing. The breakfast buffet was running out of everything simultaneously and repeatedly. Adding one or two minimum-wage workers would have been a big help. But as it was, they were out of plates, forks, burnt sausage and powdered scrambled eggs. Lines were long because people were queuing for eggs and sausage. When they finallly arrived, there were no plates on which to serve them. Housekeeping banged on our door before we awoke, and every thirty minutes thereafter, so that we couldn’t sleep. The final insult was when they charged us for an extra night because our bags were in the room a few minutes past noon. the manager on duty seemed delighted to stick us for an extra two-bits, without regard for the fact that we are a large group who partronize the hotel several times a year. We also patronize the Homewood Suites down the road, which is always nicer, where the internet works, and where we get treated well. In the future, it will only be the Homewood Suites. The manager will need to find other large groups to treat poorly. Our group won’t be back.

I was very pleased with the décor and the warm welcoming we got on our stay at this hotel. However, I was not very pleased with the complimentary breakfast. The eggs were cold, the sausages were nasty but everything else was ok… To make things worse is my family and I booked two rooms 409 and 411 witch were right next to each other, the following day we check out and when I got home i realized I left my dress and a black jacket in the closet. I called immediately and left lost and found a message and no one return my messages. I called the following day and no one seems to find my dress. 4 Days later, I called and left yet another message and no one is returning my call. so my advice is… if you guys stay at this hotel make sure you don’t leave anything because you will never get it back.

This is a good hotel, one of the best choices in York in my opinion. It’s located right on 83 and 30, which is convenient. The rooms are nice, and there is a real breakfast every day. There are couple guest computers in the lobby, which can be nice in a pinch.
