I would like to say thank you to Heather and Lauren. Lauren took great care of me and was extremely nice. I felt very comfortable and she assisted me with glasses. Heather, thank you for addressing my concern immediately and providing a solution. Your customer service is amazing.

I went to take my six year old for an eye exam. I explained to Dr. Sohn my concerns and she was able to handle it in a very professional manner… I was extremely impress on how good she is when working with children. I’m so happy I went to her! She definitely knows how to work!

I ended up coming here by mistake looking for another optical business in the same area and it was a big mistake. The service here is terrible. The staff avoid eye contact with you at all costs when you arrive so they don’t have to service you. I actually ended up purchasing a pair of glasses here and even when I came to pick them up I had to wait over 30 minutes just for someone to acknowledge me (When I first entered I was told to sit and ignored after that). The staff wasn’t even busy while this was happening, they were making phone calls to call other customers to inform them that their glasses were ready while ignoring an actual live customer in there store. The service was the same the first time I entered and the second time when I came to pick up my glasses. Needless to say I won’t be coming back.

Dr. Sonn did one of the most thorough eye exams we have ever encountered at a optical store she is definitely at the top of her game from the moment we walked in we were very comfortable the staff very friendly and honest no games played here straight forward and we have and will recommend this Sterling optical location to future customers

Poor service. Poor selection. Poor attitude. Save your time and money, shop elsewhere.

First if you’re coming to this Unilocal page realize that all of the positive reviews are from last year before this store became company owned. Staff is not helpful or informed AND
1. Selection is extremely poor especially if using an insurance plan to help pay for frames. Many of the nicer frames are in display cases and are cheaper than those not inside said cases.
2. Nearly a 200% up charge on every pair of frames. After finding a pair of frames that looked satisfactory in store and then looking them up online I found them to be $ 200 less online, enough to buy two frames for the price of one in-​store with the discount from my insurance.
NOTE: They do not price match on frames and considering their up charge I suggest ordering your frames elsewhere and getting lenses there if your insurance covers the cost of those.

I had been going here for years, eye exam every year, buy contacts once a year and had bought glasses there in the past. I had just ordered from 1 – 800 Contacts and there was a problem with the shipping so I called them and asked if I could get some contacts to tie me over until the delivery arrived. On the phone they said sure. So when I arrived this morning, I was asked why didn’t I order from them? I told them I got a great deal on 1 – 800 contacts. They said well we match their price, which is no use to me after I made an order. I had offered to pay for a few days worth of contacts to tie me over but she told me she wouldn’t give me any contacts because I didn’t make my last order with them. I had offered to pay for any contacts today but she told me no. So I have no contacts. sterling not only lost the money I would have paid for any contacts received today, they just lost all my future business. And knowing that they match 1 – 800 contacts meant that that they lost all future purchases by me.

Absolutely wonderful service! I had a great experience with the staff there, beginning from scheduling the appointment over the phone. The staff is warm, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Just finished my eye exam with Dr. Tan and the whole process was quick and easy from start to finish. Nick, who answered all my questions about billing, payment, when my contacts would arrive etc., is also wonderful. I also appreciate how the staff values your preferences over anything else, as they did not push me to buy a more expensive brand of contact lenses.
An added bonus for teachers is that they accept the UFT optical certificates, which is why I began coming here. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for optical services in the area!

This place is great. The staff is super friendly and the optometrist was super informative and did a thourough exam. I came to get contact lenses but will definitely come back to get my next pair of glasses. Definitely recommend.

This place is the best. Five stars. Very professional and kind, nice people working there. They take many vision plans. I will be sending my husband here and recommending them to anyone who needs optical care.
