Spiritoso Ristorante

had a really great experience here last december, went to a post-​wedding Dinner ant all for a good friend of mine. I loved it, we had some excellent Italian food. It was a great saturday night crowd, great group of people and in a way did not seem like THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE ON EARTH. I love pasta in general and was so happy with everything I got to eat, sausage, chicken, baked ziti, spaghetti, grilled veggies and dessert were more than average. I too can agree the atmosphere here was a great selling point, tables were not too overlapping and the people next to my table were not right in my lap.

Terrible Service!!!
I have never experienced such slow service at a restaurant! It was a Monday night and only 3 tables were full, so I can’t imagine what took so long!!! We arrived at 7:15 but they did not take our order until 7:40. Then, no food arrived at all until 8:10! But, even then, they only randomly brought out two salads and one appetizer (we had ordered 5 of each!). Once we realized that was all we were getting, we asked them to just bring out everything. About 8:20 we got 2 more appetizers (still missing 2 apps and 3 salads). Finally at 8:30 they brought everything else out with the main courses, including the 3 salads that we had ordered almost an hour before. Most inexplicable was that I had ordered plain noodles for my kids, which took 45 minutes! For plain noodles in a bowl!
The only reason I am not giving 1 star is that the food was delicious (I had the eggplant rollatini appetizer). I guess the food must have been hand made, since it was delicious but unbelievably SLOW. Will never go back, no matter how good the eggplant was.

A nice, but not nifty experience.
I have been to Spiritoso a couple of times. The service is very friendly and they love it if you speak a little Italian with them. That said, the service is also the best part of the experience.
The food at Spiritoso, while quite good, is also quite predictable for an Italian restaurant putting on airs. A person looking for a good Northern Italian meal could easily find it less expensively and with a more adventurous flavor pallette than at this restaurant.
HOWEVER, they have a very nice atmosphere, a decent wine list and great facilities for parties. Again, the service makes up for what the food lacks. I will (most likely) return.
