Midland Avenue Pizzeria

How is it that every time I order a pizza by phone, when I arrive it’s NEVER ready? Sometimes, an employee behind the counter will tell me they’ve «been busy» but come on… you guys are running a pizzeria– churning out pies left and right. Don’t tell me it’ll be 20 minutes if, in actuality, it will be 40.
Also, the pizza has been INCREDIBLY dry lately. The pepperoni pie has the pepperoni on the bottom of the cheese? Not on top… and it’s totally dried out.
Lastly, the older woman who works there (perhaps the owner’s wife?) ROUNDS UP on the bill. One of the last times I was in there, my total should have been $ 15.95 and she charged me $ 16? Come on now…

Not sure what happened to the place, but the pizza definitely tastes much worse than what it was years ago. The crust is flat and hard, no cheese, mostly sauce. If I wanted a cracker with some tomato sauce I would have just eaten at home.

Ordered delivery from this place. It was sub par to what I was expecting. The pasta was barely cooked. The sauce had 0 flavor. I was so disappointed that I threw out the menu. Won’t be ordering from them again…

I have always ordered from Midland Pizzeria, but was disappointed with my last order. They changed their sauce, or maybe they got a new cook. Everything that required sauce tasted like penne vodka. Not good on eggplant and shrimp. Also, their fries are soggy with no taste…

Horrible. This place use to be really good until about a year ago. Idk what happen, even if I’m starving I would rather keep my 2.50 and buy junk food at the mini market up the street.
Their sandwiches fell off and even the salads. Just not good food at all anymore

Great pizza sauce is good and they put ye right amount of cheese. The back food is amazing everything comes out perfect and delicious !!!

I ordered some food from this place. Everything seemed to be going well. I was excited to try a new pizzeria and the prices were pretty good. They do charge extra for everything (sauces and such) which i wasn’t a huge fan of but it also wasn’t a deal breaker.
Before the food was on the way i get a call and it is the delivery man asking for directions to my house (i do not live far at all). I nicely explained how to get here even though being a delivery man should require a GPS or strong knowledge of navigational skills. He did not have either of those things. I waited for my food for 30 minutes and then got another phone call from him and he was lost. I gave clear directions again and he kept making rookie mistakes (not turning where stated and so on). I spent twenty minutes explaining where i was and when he finally got here i was standing on my porch and i heard him get out of the car furious at me and calling me a «FUCKING ASS HOLE» and when he walked up the staisr i said «you know i can hear you, right»? He then proceeded to tell me that he did not know i was standing there (it is unacceptable and unprofessional regardless).
He hands me my food which was cold because he took forever to arrive and my soda that i ordered and paid for was missing. I gave him NO TIP and made him bring my soda to me.
I called the pizzeria and explained the situation and they were very apologetic. I was offered nothing for my troubles to show how sorry they really were.
I sat down with my family to eat and the food was horrible anyway. The calamari were old, rubbery, soggy and fishy tasting. The chicken wings tasted freezer burned. The pizza (white pizza) lacked cheese and was severely under cooked. The soda was just about the only thing that tasted good (probably because they didnt make it)
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!

This place is Awesome I love their foods, I go there every Saturday’s to order my Chicken Parma Hero or dinner, and Chicken Parma Pizza! I love my Chicken parma! I strongly recommend this place! Steve and his staff are the best!

Steve and his family are very friendly! The pizza is great, New York-​style, thin crust and crispy.
Haven’t tried their other Italian food yet, but it’s a great, small pizza shop.

Love the food but only when I eat there. Their takeout is always cold and the order is never right. Very friendly and love going to places where the whole family works there. Over all the food is very good, but just eat it there. Everyone who works there is sweet as well.

Pizza tastes like ragu on cardboard, your better off going to the supermarket and buying elio’s…yuck!

Not bad for a pizza joint. Although we rarely get the pizza its fresh and the crust is homemade. What we tend to order is the fluffy eggplant Parmesan. It’s light, made in thin layers with just a hint of sauce so that you can still taste the eggplant. It comes with either ziti or spaghetti. If you eat in you will notice that the clientèle is all little old ladies from Italy and young folks from Italy. Although I’m African American I can appreciate the blending of flavors.
Great place and the owner is often present in the restaurant flipping pizzas in the air. Can’t go wrong. Besides if you want pizza why try those «Chain» places when you can get the real thing?
I wouldn’t order the side salad though, its strictly iceberg lettuce. It’s flavorless to say the least.
