Great place, real clean, local food and very good prices. Our first time there, had breakfast. $ 12.00 for two people. A lot of food and very good, the bread was homemade. We will be coming back for sure.

Great little farmers market with authentic vendors. Love Lil’s Bakery, Martin meats and Sunrise Grille. Only gripe would be lack of enough produce vendors. No competition means prices at the lone produce stand are sky high.

What a gem! Go hungry and you won’t be disappointed. Lots of options for me and the kids plus we were able to pick up a few groceries while we were there. I was so happy we decided to stop here for lunch and I plan to return. I was a little leery of a shopping mall farmers market but this was the real thing.

Great Amish baked goods, sweets, produce and meats. We got lamb and Brussels sprouts for Easter lunch. I also found my husband’s beloved cinnamon bear candies here. You can dine here for a quick lunch. Also you should definitely bring a shoo fly pie home.

Love this place. It’s like a reading terminal in slow Motion… Serving Fresh authentic wholesome foods by friendly people. As soon as you walk in there’s a bakery stand. On Saturday afternoon, baked good prices are reduced due to next day closing. I recommend apple dumpling! Warm it up and u will be in heaven. Juice bar, bagels, cold cuts and butcher are also in this market… I cannot comment on the rest.

They are opened on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only and is located behind best buy. The inside is small with over 10 vendors/booths. Assortment ranges from produce, bakery goods, meats, ready to eat, and pretzel stand. I ate at the sunrise grille and got the country haystack. It had toast, home fries, chopped beef, scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, cheese and sausage for $ 6.50. This was very filling and a great value! The filled pretzels were great and much more affordable. The dough was soft and I thought it was a great value compared to auntie Anne’s.

Great, clean market with great vendors, food and overall great experience. My favorite farm market in berks. Not the selection of fairgrounds, but good for the size

I discovered this jem by accident and I am so glad I did. My wife and I go for breakfast and groceries every Saturday morning. The café serves an excellent breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, home fries and toast for only $ 5.95. The toast is made with home made bread from Lil’s bakery just a few steps away. Sammy’s meat stand has a great selection of beef and pork, some USDA Prime. Lil’s makes great bread and other baked goods and the produce stand at the front has top quality fruits and vegetables, although they are a little pricey. Go by on a Saturday morning and see for yourself.

Again the Pennsylvania Dutch have been exploited. Yes this market is run by the Amish, but it is not a true ‘farmers market’. Your choices are very narrow in categories, 1 bake stand, 1 deli stand, 1 produce stand, etc. They overall offer some great PA Dutch treats. They offer meats that you cannot get at a Giant or Weis. I consider it a tourist attraction more than a market. Nice to have it in the neighborhood.

One of my all time Favorite Farmers Markets in the US! I absolutely Love this place. I go here every time I am in town. I go straight to the back left corner. The nicest pair of sisters, who make the Best almond latte and Bavarian cream doughnut. Hand made pastry’s to die for. The booth on their right has beautiful smiling Mennonite/Amish girls hand twisting hot pretzels, pouring sweet home grown peppermint ice tea, and scooping local made ice cream. Next, beautifully smoked ribs and wings. Another has the tastiest organic chocolate milk, grass fed meat, local honey and bacon I cream. And another, regional baked goods. I have had the most amazing Chicken pot pie from this place. It tastes like mothers hug. As for not having an Italian section… It’s a freaking Mennonite/Amish market!!! And that’s why you go there. It is filled with lovely Amish folks, young and old, beaming with smiles and working their ass off! We should all be a little more like them.

Overall a good choice as with any farmer’s market some things will be hit or miss. Fisher’s poultry great quality and prices. Sunrise grille try the Wyomissing cheese steak! Baked goods place had large premade tub of cinnamon swirl topping rather than made from scratch which makes me sad. OK produce section, AYCE ribs Friday nights. good special events egg hunt, pig roasts. Worth a visit. Not as good as Fargrounds better than Shilington

3 stars from me is good, so don’t think this place is bad. It’s still young and just getting it’s bearings. What I loved about it is that it is CLEAN and bright and it is easy to find parking. The produce place and the Dutch Meadow Organics stands are great. The seafood stand also looked really nice but I wasn’t in the market for seafood so I can’t speak to the quality. What this place is really lacking is a good italian market/stand and then perhaps something like Foosie’s Organic Deli that they have at the Fairgrounds market. That would make this perfect for me. The one downside is that the deli there only has pre-sliced meat. I am so grossed out by lunchmeat that is pre-sliced. It’s almost always too thick and who knows how long it’s been there. Other than that the rest of the vendors seemed really great. I’m looking forward to getting back there.
