Sonic Drive-In

I’ve been here twice. Both times it was in the evening and both times the deep fried items we bought (a chicken sandwich and a corn dog) tasted of old oil that’s been stretched out as long as they could take if. First time I called and complained and they said, «yeah, we just changed our oil. You’r welcome to come back and exchange your sandwich for a new one». This second time I’m not even going to bother. They clearly have bad process control for managing their deep fryers to keep the oil good tasting.

This Sonic has the worst service I have ever encountered at any fast food restaurant. The service is slow, they do not keep to the order of first come first served, and the staff is very careless and unfriendly.
We sat in their drive thru lane for 10 minutes, while the car behind us got their food and drink order before us. Keep in mind, we only order 4 drinks. The staff could have cared less when we brought it up, and the fact that it cost $ 10 for those 4 drinks is simply ridiculous.
Long story short, It’ll be a long time before my family and I return to this Sonic.

Since we don’t have Sonic near our house, we take every opportunity to visit Sonic when we travel. This time, we just enjoyed a little Sonic blast and some Route 44 Cranberry Limeades. Always fantastic food!

We used to like this place but after last nights visit (2÷24÷2015 at around 6:30pm), I will not NEVER be back to this location.
I will start off by saying the people working there tonight were friendly but that is where the good in this experience ended.
We pulled into one of the stalls & placed our order (2 of the new spicy 4 piece Super Crunch Dinners, a corn dog kids meal, & chicken strip kids meal, & large mozzarella stick) when we finished our order we were told we would need to go through the drive thru in order to pay & pick up because of the weather (it wasn’t snowing, their lot was cleared & it wasn’t too cold, so not sure why), there was a line in the drive thru. It took us 25 minutes to get to the window, pay for our food, and receive our food. We parked at the Target next door to eat. As we went through our items we noticed that items were missing (toast & onion rings that were supposed to come with our dinners).
As we began to eat our meals we noticed how nasty & cold everything was (go figure seems how it sat there for almost a half hour!). We also noticed that in one of our chicken dinners we ordered we got 4 of the spicy chicken strips and on the bottom of that box was an original and it was OLD & DISGUSTING (you could tell it was sitting there for longer than when we ordered!) We drove back to go through the drive thru in order to let them know how awful our food was and about the missing items but the line was so long, we were not going to wait (we had kids to get home & into bed).
This was the most disgusting food we have tasted at a Sonic! So disappointed in this visit.
UPDATE: Tried this location again on 6÷4÷2015 @ around 6:30pm, Guy taking my order was very friendly, the female car hop (blonde girl) not so much! We didn’t have any of the sauces we asked for so had to call the car hop out again & no napkins. Now the food, my corn dog was burnt & DISGUSTING, tasted as if it had been sitting for hours (was cold & tasted extra greesy), my poppers where cold (& really greesy tasting, maybe change your cooking oil once in awhile!), cheese not even close to melted and nasty, I could go on about the rest of the food we received but this would be a really long review! Needless to say this meal for my family was a complete failure AGAIN, what is going on at this location!

I had seen the commercials 1000 times but never been to a Sonic, so we decided to grab a milkshake. The service was quick, affordable, and the shakes were delicious. They have a large variety to choose from as well, including some that have bacon at the bottom which I found interesting.
In short, this place makes for a great meal that is affordable and quick.

Used to like this place, but today (January 30^th, 2013 at 9:35am) I found (and bit into) a cooked cockroach on my supersonic cheeseburger. This caused me to immediately puke all over.
Absolutely disgusting! I called to comments/​complaints number and they made it out as a very minor deal. A health inspector really needs to check out this place.
A couple times in the past I have also gotten bone chips in the burgers here.

I love the Chili Cheese Tater Tots at Sonic.
I tend to just use the drive through but the roller skating wait staff that brings your food to the car almost makes it worth doing the park and eat thing.

Coming from Chicago and someone who has experienced SuperDawg many times this drive-​in is doable but lacks charm. I like the rollerskate delivery girls, even in the winter months but maybe it’s the location to me that seems forced.
The food was what I expected for fast food and I like the happy hour idea for their drinks (Limades, Slushies, Smoothies). I’d go back if someone wanted to try it but I’d rather have Culver’s fast food burgers.

Sonic had FINALLY come to the area. My trips to the South have always had a trip to a Sonic. Last time I went to see a friend in Florida she refused to take me because it was «junk food». On the last day I finally wore her down enough to take me. And you know what? She actually enjoyed it. Going in to Sonic you know it isn’t health food. It is greasy goodness. I usually get the Sonic Burger and a Cherry Limeade. I skip the fries usually because I don’t need the calories. I guess you ask if I’m counting calories why do I eat here? Good question. The food is good. Service is fast and friendly.
When Sonic first opened it was months before you could even get in without a LONG wait. Now the novelty has worn off a bit and you can get in no problem. If you have never been to a drive-​in treat yourself and try it.
