Talk to Jim on the phone prior to the service, including a follow up communication from him prior to the scheduled time.
House was vacant, he called prior to starting (exactly on time).
Most importantly, he did an excellent job cleaning the carpets — they came out cleaner than I could have hoped for.
Definitely recommend for the price, quality of service, professionalism.

Very good experience. I scheduled my appointment on their website, got a confirmation, and then everything went as the online system said. The company emailed me the day before to confirm again, and called the day of to give me a 30-​minute heads-​up. The owner did my job himself and he was very professional. The only reason I say 4 stars instead of 5 is because the price seemed a little high, (not outrageous, just a bit more than I have paid to others in the past.) But with extremely clean carpets and sofa, I’m happy.

First of all, let me start by stating that I did NOT use Carlson to clean my carpets, but my experience in trying to schedule an appointment warrants this posting.
I originally scheduled an appointment using the company’s website, which was convenient. Later I was contacted by someone at Carlson to confirm the appointment, and that’s when things took a strange turn.
I told the representative (who put me under the impression he was also the gentleman who would be cleaning the carpets) the carpets to be cleaned were in my townhome. At first he seemed very agreeable, but then became very abrupt. He repeatedly said that I lived in Uptown, and that the city does not allow carpet cleaning vehicles in front of residences in that part of town. (Strange considering it’s all Dallas county.)
Well, I reiterated that I do not live in Uptown (just check the address), and that if parking was the issue I have my own private drive. He still flat out refused.
Again, I can’t actually speak to the quality of the work, but I couldn’t recommend it considering the borderline rude attitude I experienced.
