More folks need to check this place out because you are really missing out! Fresh donuts, they even have specialty donuts for the kids. excellent sausage rolls(Pigs in a blanket hehe!) And a REALLY good beignets! You will have to wait for about 8 – 10 mins for it but, it’s worth it. Hot, puffy, powdered sugar GOODNESS!

Back to a five star review! The service was friendly and efficient. The case was full and was being refreshed as people ordered. Beignets were made fresh while we waited. The unique donut options were plentiful. It was worth the 20 minute drive again!

I would love to give this donut shop a better rating but they are just WAY overpriced. I went in the other day to buy 3 or 4 things and was told the order wasn’t big enough to use my debit card. With all the competition in the area that seems a little ridiculous to me. They are also the only shop in the area, and I have been to many, they doesn’t give you a donut hole or two on the house. Must need to pay for that huge building they’re in, however, if they keep providing that kind of customer service they won’t be in business for long. After leaving their shop, I drove a mile down the road and bought some delicious donuts for half the cost and used my debit card. Get it together Cajun Donuts. Your donuts are good but you’re not the only game in town!

Very rarely do I find myself up before 6AM on a Saturday. But when I do, and I was this past Saturday, I usually crave something fiercely sweet and absolutely unhealthy for me! I think it has a lot to do with growing up eating sugary cereals while watching Saturday morning cartoons, but I digress. My first instinct was to hit up Unilocal and I’m SO glad that I did! My eyes gravitated to one review that talked about the Boudin Kolaches and I was immediately sold! The regular kolaches have a great flavor, perfect balance of savory(sausage) and sweet(the roll). The donuts holes were a great size; not small/bite size, but large and fluffy with a good balance of glaze and donut. And the Boudin Kolache lived up to the hype. From this point forward, this will be my go-to donut shop.

Epic. Found me a favorite donut place. We got the boudin kolache, donuts holes, maple log with Bavarian cream. Can’t wait to go back.

I read the other reviews yesterday and gave this place a try that morning. Definitely found myself a new donut shop. The regular glazed donuts are fluffy and slightly chewy, love that texture. Got a few croissant sausages, pigs in blankets, and jalapeño pigs in blanket. The jalapeño one is a keeper. The rest were good too, family made sure no piggies were left behind. Wished they had Oak Farms milk, it goes down crisp compared to Borden. Owner, if you’re reading this *winkwink* get that milk! xD

I have been to this donut shop three or four times now since they opened in Wylie, and I will not go to another shop. I’ve had the beignets, donut holes, and sausage & bacon croissant rolls and the crème filled long johns. Let me begin by saying that the croissant was absolutely the lightest and flakiest croissant I have ever had. The sausage is good, and the bacon is better. They were delicious. the beignet was good — you’d have to be at café du monde for better. As we were leaving on our first visit they gifted us with a couple of their cinnamon donut holes that they warmed up for us, and after having that, I’m just not sure I can go back to cold heartless donut holes ever again. I have read reviews on other sites that complained about the prices not being clear, or the menu board not being visible, and that is simply not true. The proprietor drops the beignets fresh to order, so it’s difficult to wait until you get home to try one.

There aren’t too many donut shops I like. I like fluffy donuts with flavor… most places are a bit heavy with grease or have no flavor… This can’t be said of Cajun! I asked for an éclair, and they took the donut away and filled it FULL of yummy flavoring! The fritters are great!!! The donut was fluffy and had wonderful chocolate cream on top. My boyfriend had some plain donuts and they were light fluffy and his cake donut was just the right texture and good flavor.

The maple bacon log was so tasty! My husband’s favorite was the boudin kolache. We all liked the fresh and hot beignet too!

We love Cajun Donuts so much that we drive 45 minutes, past all the mediocre donut places, just to come here! They are that good. They’re seriously the best donuts I’ve ever had, and the people who work there are super friendly. They also have some interesting donuts I’ve never seen anywhere else. For instance, they have a long, rectangular glazed donut with maple frosting, topped with thick slices of bacon, then glazed over the bacon. It looks and sounds weird, but it’s surprisingly very good! The donuts are never doughy or greasy; they’re light and bready. The cake donuts are moist and dense. They always have my favorite flavors, even later in the morning, whereas most places are always sold out of everything except glazed by 9AM. They’re a little pricier than other places, but the quality of the donuts are well worth the extra expense and far superior to 99% of most donut places. I’ll also add that I typically eat very healthfully, and most donuts make me feel like total crap on the rare occasion that I eat them, but the donuts at Cajun never make me feel bad, because they are of a higher quality. This place is definitely a gem!
