Checkers

This place is so expensive for greasy nasty food. I’m not a fan of any checkers but the service at this one is horrible. We have waited almost 20 minutes before with only one person ahead of us. You can hardly understand them on the speaker. They have a lot of employees and there is no reason for being so slow expert laziness. They charge a lot for a large order of fried and then fill them half way. The chicken wings were so over cooked it was like eating chicken jerky. I do not recommend this place! The only reason I’m giving it two starts instead of one is because of the young man who helped us last time. I wish I knew his name. He was funny and we left with a smile even though it took 15 minutes. If I owned a business I would hire this guy in a second. He is their only saving grace.

The Checkers ads on tv always look so good and priced right that I have been wanting to visit one for a while. Unfortunately for the past couple of years I have driven by this one close to my house and I rarely see any customers. It is drive through only so I rarely saw a car in line. That made me suspicious wondering if a lot of people got food posion there or something. I mentioned this in an on-​line forum and lots of people came forward singing its praises, though a few negative comments were thrown in. I decided to be adventurous and try it. It seems the place was being run by a bunch of giggly young girls which made me ask myself questions like «Do they know mayo cannot sit out too long??» Having an adult present would have been re-​assuring. I got the steakhouse double cheeseburger and an order of grilled cheese sticks. The burger looked nothing like it was portrayed on tv but it tasted pretty good. The grilled cheese sticks were excellent. They have a big menu with lots of items including garlic parmesan wings at very reasonable prices so I really do not know why this place isn’t packed. Good but not great, but I will go back.
