Went to a wedding here in September and was absolutely amazed at the great care they put into each moment. The food was nothing short of gourmet, the mansion itself was stunning, the staff extremely friendly and the flow was seamless. Absolutely great venue for a wedding or staying in a room that transports you back in time. Great experience.

What a cute place! I recently held a bridal shower here for my friend who is getting married in October and it was absolutely perfect. The bridesmaids and I were having difficultly finding the perfect place to have the shower and when we found the Proctor Mansion Inn we were blown away. It’s a beautiful old mansion inside and out and the staff was so helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. The day couldn’t have been any more perfect and we have the Proctor Mansion Inn to thank for that!

Simply amazing in every way!!! The breakfast is beyond amazing. The owners are charming, knowledgable, hard working, and wonderful. Bryan loves the inn and it’s history. He’s works tirelessly to restore this old mansion to it’s original charm. And I think he’s done it! Despite it’s age and elegance, the inn has a very homey feel. The staff is all wonderful and welcoming, and they clearly love the owners. I can’t wait to stay here again! I stayed here for 3 weeks in the dead of winter, and I can assure you, the house isn’t the slightest bit creepy. It’s most definitely NOT haunted. Bonus, the home was a stop for the Underground Railroad!

We stayed here for a weekend last Fall. The website photos are clearly professionally done and very misleading. When we pulled into the driveway(and it’s somewhat hidden from the main road) and parked the car, I wanted to cancel our reservation and stay somewhere else. The main Inn and carriage house are C-R-E-E-P-Y. Overgrown dead vegetation was everywhere, paint was peeling from every exterior surface. I think the photos were taken right after the Inn’s last paint job… maybe 10 years ago? Thankfully, the interior of the Inn is in better shape. We were in one of the more recently renovated rooms with like-new plumbing(thank GOD). Toiletries are very nice, including locally hand-made soaps. The staff are friendly and the breakfast(quiche!) was delicious. Be sure to ask for a tour of the Inn — I love learning the history of older buildings and PMI is full of interesting information. The staff are genuinely interested in the history and sharing it with guests. On the day of checkout, the internet connection was down, so I left my credit card information so they could bill the balance when it came back up. Several months later, I had a fraudulent $ 501 charge on my statement with a Connecticut telephone number listed… coincidence? I think not.

This mansion was built in 1861 and is one of only six that have been restored to their original condition and was a wonderful setting for our wedding reception. The event was elegant and the staff did a superb job of making Nancy and I feel welcome and our guests all loved the reception. While we did not stay their the rooms all looked very inviting and I would recommend the Proctor Mansion Inn to evryone who enjoys elegance and history all rolled into one place.
