Perry Park

We played kickball here with CYP this year… For kickball I feel like the baseball diamonds were too big and could’ve been 2 diamonds instead of 1. Other than that no complaints about the park. There are always people waking their dogs, biking or running on the trail. The playground area was clean and inviting with picnic tables and water fountains. We will definitely be back.

I really like this park. We ride our bikes here and our toddler always has a blast. The playground is huge, has a cushioned ground, and lots of slides that kids can race each other down. Plus, it’s always clean and the dog owners really appear to clean up after their pets and keep dogs properly leashed around the kids. And, as an added bonus, the kids always get a kick out seeing the trains come by — it’s the highlight of every visit. There are also bathrooms, but I’ve never used them so I can’t speak of their quality. But they are there.
The park is also nestled between soccer and baseball fields, so if you have an older child playing sports, it’s awesome for the siblings who aren’t involved to have a nice place to play. And even though the fields are usually really busy with the soccer and baseball games, we have never found the playground to be overly crowded during these times.
Overall, we are big fans of this park. For it’s cleanliness, nice equipment, and the location along the neighborhood bike paths.

I can only speak for the football field area of the park, as it’s all I have experienced. The grass is well kept, and has good lighting for evening games. There are however, some divots that sometimes just seem to magnetically suck your foot in. This can easily lead to a sprained, or broken ankle if you’re not careful.
My big deduction is that by the time we are there playing (around 6:30) the bathrooms are locked, and unusable. I love that there are lights, and the field is certainly nicer than the previous field we played football on, but seriously, no bathrooms?!
There’s also a playground for kids that has a rubberized sort of surface that has a good amount of give to it to minimize injuries for the kids. There’s ample parking spread all around the park as well.
