I called Buckeye yesterday morning because our furnace had stopped working. Yeah, that fancy Nest thermostat on my wall looks pretty cool, but it doesn’t do me much good if the furnace its attached to has went on strike. I called Buckeye first thing in the morning, and they had someone out within 2 hours. The repairman had the system working within 15 minutes. He took the time to explain what was wrong, and suggested something I could try before calling in the future, so I could save some $! Way cool. The bill was very fair, basically just the trip charge. Now my furnace works. And my Nest thermostat no longer stares forlornly out at the living room, searching for purpose in life. Everyones happy.

My AC stopped working so I started to investigate different AC companies, only to find that there are a LOT of AC companies in Columbus, making it overwhelming and confusing. My boss recommended Buckeye Heating and Cooling so I decided to check them out. Fortunately they were able to help me out the following day. The guy was early, thankfully, and was pretty quick to assess the problem and fix it. I have no clue whether the cost was reasonable and fair compared to other companies but it seemed to be. I also appreciate that he provided a number of tips for how to care for my AC and what to look for if there’s an issue. Very nice and professional. Thank you, BHC!

I hired these guys to repair a Honeywell Zone heating and cooling system that was damages when we had big storms in late June. They came out on July 10, 2012 and took the system apart. When they left, they told me they had to order a part and would come back in a week. They came back, installed the part and then told me everything would work. Well it hasn’t. They’ve come back 5 times and it still doesn’t work. Now, they say they haven’t received the final insurance check and won’t come back until they get it from the insurance company. I told them that the insurance shouldn’t have to pay because the system doesn’t work. I asked them to stand by their work and make the repairs. They refused to agree with me that they should stand by their work, they claimed that the couldn’t do anything else until the insurance company paid them. My house is over 80 degrees. At times it’s been in the 90’s. It’s been impossible to sleep well given the heat, and yet, despite knowing all of this, Buckeye will not repair the system that they took apart and rebuilt. I wouldn’t use this company. They don’t stand up and take responsibility for their work.
