Ick! No way are these Vienna hot dogs. Mine was pinkish gray and tasteless. No poppyseed bun. Fries tasted like fried in old grease. This place has gone downhill.

I like Mickey’s. I like their hot dogs(medium sized Vienna beef ones) they don’t fall apart, their fries are soft, not hard like some other joint’s/places and they have a large menu full of dozens of items, homemade brownies, etc. They have chicken(Greek chicken too) gyros, tamales, many side dishes/appetizers, garlic fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, cheese dogs, chili dogs, ice cream, shakes, desert, beverages, etc. The place is clean, average noise level, reminds me of. Wojo’s in Mt. Greenwood and the service is moderately fast, also friendly. Dine in and carry out, you can order ahead of time by calling your order in. They take cash only, no credit or debit, they do not deliver as far as I know. Also 3 hot dogs with fries are around $ 5, plus tax(maybe closer to $ 6) I very much enjoyed them. 4⁄5 stars, would definitely recommend.

I have been going to Mickys since I was in 5th grade. I have known the owner Paul and his son George since this time. They have some of the best food around. Family owned… They care about their customers! Their soups are homemade as well as the brownies(amazing) The Gyros are the best in Chi town.(Gyros sauce is home made & amazing!) If you are in the worth area. I highly recommend stopping in.

I agree with previous reviewer the hot dog is from Aldi. Sorry I stopped.

I passed this place a few times and decided to stop and try it. Well I should have done what I’ve done before and drive right by this place. If you are hungry and have a taste for a burger than this place is not where you want to get a burger from. You will get more bun than burger! My suggestion is go to Burger King or portillos and get a better bigger burger.

I tried there Vienna Jumbo Chicago Hotdog. I was vert disappointed. It looked like a hotdog from Aldi. My fries where very good. I will give them a try again, but next time I will try a hamburger or there Greek chicken.

My friend has been telling me about this place for months now and I finally tried it today. SOGOOD! The pulled pork sandwich is EVERYTHING! I had munched on my friends delicious garlic fires so I opted for the coleslaw with it. Coleslaw is very rich and creamy, I ate a few bites and then put it on the pulled pork sandwich… Yum! I love the atmosphere in here, it’s small, old fashioned, extremely friendly and even have outdoor seating. I will be back here to try a fresh banana shake when I can afford the calories!

I have been eating hamburgers and fries here for 25 years. Great little mom and pop owned place. The brownies the owners wife makes are even great.

I saw the sign — it said Vienna Jumbo All Beef Hot Dogs. That sad little pink tasteless thing on a stale bun was not even close. Maybe their burgers or gyros are good so I may be inclined to try Mickey’s again. The fries were OUTSTANDING, freshly made, crispy with a little salt. I am willing to pay for a Vienna dog on a bun that has poppyseeds. Does anyone know of a good place in the sw burbs?

Just two quick comments about this place. I have noticed that the portions have gotten smaller(gyros). Also they brag about Vienna Hot Dogs, so stopped in to try. If their selling real Vienna Hot Dogs, I’m the King of England.

I grew up in Worth, and this is the only place I ever order a Gyro. Their grilled onions that come on the cheeseburgers are the bomb too.

Ah Mickeys. I have been going here since I was a child. Good food reasonable prices and the boys behind the counter have the cutest accents. They only take cash ½ a star for that and the other half for the cute accent guy behind the counter. I have been coming here since I was a child ordering the same thing. «Yes I want everything on it.» Two minutes later«Yep everything.» When I ordered I told you I want everything on it why do you ask me what I want on the darn thing multiple times. Come one Wednesdays for the Chicken Philly meal deal it is divine!!! They also have the best french fries in the Chicago area! However I recommend bringing cash and a sign that says«Everything».

I was here their first day in business, and 11 years old. Stopped in after school right across the street and had a pizza puff. I’ve now had probably everything they offer and all of their food is great.

Even thinking about this place reminds me of being eight years old and wanting an ice cream cone. I’m 25 years old now and I remember going here after school for ice cream or french fries. This was the only place I’d ever have gyro’s when I was a kid(with bbq sauce for some strange reason). As a kid, I remember the employees and the knew me by name. In High School, I worked down the street from here and the employees would come to my store and remember me and say hi. The last time I was here was in 2004 or 2005 and it was just as good and the employees just as friendly and fun. I will have to stop in sometime soon for a gyro and maybe an ice cream cone!

THEBESTGYROSONTHEPLANET As I testified in my review for Greektown Gyros, there are three keys to good Gyros, and Mickey’s nails all 3 1) Kronos brand meat 2) Real Tzatziki 3) Grilled pitas Their other items are tempting, but don’t pass on the gyros. Worth the drive from the city. Tasty, zesty, great portions, suburban prices. The best.
