Worcester State University HR Department operates as a racist! As a a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree holder from WSU, I am completely frustrated with this institution. Let me start from the beginning. Since the early 2000’s when I earned my first degree, I have been trying to get a job at WSU. I fell in love with the school back then and was determined to work there. Every job I have ever attempted achieving at WSU, I earned an interview for. They found me qualified enough for an interview back before this institution went absolutely crazy about«Affirmative Action.» Each time I was denied the position and a female with a diverse background was offered the job. They told me I either needed to have a Master’s degree or I needed more higher education experience. In a nutshell, they were clearly just making excuses and blowing smoke when really my experience didn’t matter, but my color did. Let me make it clear that I am a very professional and educated person. While attending WSU, I won many leadership awards and was very active in the WSU community. All of which I did because I wanted to be well-rounded and employable at WSU. Since that time, I have gained both WSU work experience and a Master’s degree from their institution. Now, as I am applying for jobs, I am finding that they wont even look at my credentials. They are simply looking to see if I am female, Latino, African American, etc… Since I am a white male, they are eliminating me from any potential to interview. They will not even consider my vast work experiences and education because of my color and race. Since when does«Affirmative Action» mean eliminating all white candidates from the running? This is a State run school and this behavior seems completely unacceptable. Barry Maloney just had a staff meeting stating that they must focus on hiring a diverse staff which clearly means racial profiling against a very specific demographic. What happened to hiring the best person for the job based on skill, experience and qualifications?

The last PDP class I took: 1. Registered about 30 students, insread of 15 per the instructor. 2. Gave me, and a few others the wrong start date causung us to miss the first class. 3. Because of the over booking, the instructor ran short of dates for the presentations that counted as our final. The«late people» had to do theirs at the very next class meeting. Great. 4. The BEST part is that the registar’s office changed my undergad transcript to undeclared. This is years after I had graduated. And after lots and lots of calls tells me they«can’t» change it back. STAYAWAYPROFESSIONAL!!!
