Hong Kong Bbq & Chinese Restaurant

This place is pretty scary. I made the mistake of stopping for lunch in February 2009, last year. Oh my. Portions of ducks, pigs, and chickens hanging in the windows. Now I know that most people aren’t used to seeing that kind of stuff just, uh, hanging around… But it wasn’t the hanging animals that offended me. It was the hanging meat AND the condition of the place. I really just got the feeling that the place would not pass the health code. In fact, the whole establishment made me feel like I really needed a shower.
The inside dining area was tiled, grimy, and barely heated in the middle of winter. The tables and counters were greasy. I shudder to think what it looked like behind the counter. The place was just cold and dirty– not inviting AT ALL.
Well… I guess there’s always room for improvement… so as long as you don’t get shut down by the city.
