3 floors of stuff, with one solely dedicated to furniture. Quite the set up if you ask me. The furniture was all in good shape for donated items, little to none of purely particle board items. The only reason this can’t be bumped up to a 4 is they don’t let you wander between floors with items from the other I ones, however they only have a checkout on the ground level. Additionally I could not tell where there was an elevator for those that cannot climb the stairs to get from floor to floor.

More than once, I have found outstanding vintage furniture items here waaaaaay below market value. As in, a mid-century modern dresser worth $ 3,500 selling for $ 19.99 — I also found a vintage Dior scarf for $ 3. Absolutely unreal. It IS hit or miss, but go on a weekday and you’ll get the best selection! If you know your stuff, and are good at tackling DIY furniture restorations, re-upholstering etc, this place is a gold mine! Did I just give away my best-kept secret?

There can be some great finds at Salvation Army in Woonsocket, I’ve mainly helped friends score furniture, which seems to almost always be in good shape. The staff, however, are not so friendly. More than once I have been scolded by someone working there for touching something or not standing in the right spot when waiting to check out. If you are looking for household goods, it might be worth the visit.

Good selection in a funky old building. I need a lot more time to browse on my next visit… and there WILL be one. I found a pair of boots for work that are perfect now that I put Superfeet in them. Still half what I would have paid new and they are already broken in.
