We have been enjoying these treats for years. We just took a trip and my son wanted to take them with us for a taste of home(he’s 20 years old). He ate his Jaci’s Cookies on our balcony in Paris with the Tower in the background. We now have a new tradition of taking her cookies on the road. Where will we be next?

I haven’t found any of the cookie varieties that I dislike, and I’ve had most of them! Great to eat and also to give as gifts. I also have used them for parties and my guests loved them!!!

I had a «Hannah’s Life’s Better with Oats Granola Bar.» When I first saw«gluten-free and vegan» on it, I had some doubts. In Chicago, the whole gluten-free thing is overdone, and if I want a treat, I want it to be the real thing! But this was incredible. It had a perfect mix of peanut butter, coconut and chocolate. It was kind of like a step up from an energy bar. Seriously delicious. Can’t wait to end up in Woodstock and try more of Jaci’s baking!

The cookies are great, but I go there more for the personal pies. I’ve tried them all and though they don’t always have them, when available the Ginger Pear is surprisingly good. Like they say, you do have to follow your nose; because they are tucked in the back of a ‘galleria’ type store. However, the search is well worth it!

I recently hosted a wedding shower for a same sex couple. I wanted some unique and delicious favors for the guests. Jaci helped me design a double heart cookie with two brides — one in a traditional dress and the other in a khaki suit. She made three prototypes and sent me pictures of each. We got it right on the third attempt. Did she charge more — Nope. She made gorgeous cookies that were delicious. The guests have been raving about them. Unfortunately, we ate them all! Yummy!

Absolutely amazing experience with Jaci. I’m not from IL but found their business online and emailed her with a question regarding a birthday delivery and she got back to me SO quickly. I asked her if she could do something with the Coors Light logo and she surpassed my expectations. Absolutely wonderful work and amazing customer service! Highly recommend Jaci!

«Follow Yer Nose», the sign read, so I did… and it pointed down a short mysterious corridor– I followed, and my nose, mouth and tummy were rewarded for my efforts with a plethora of cookie options! If you blink, you might miss it, as there is not a storefront, just a simple chalkboard sandwich board sign with Jaci’s Cookies at the top listing some special items on it. You walk down a rather plain hallway to find a couple glass doors propped open and there it is: a large, fully functional, non fancy, open layout commercial kitchen with a counter and register in front, and a tiny retail space consisting of a couple bookcases filled with adorable baskets of gourmet cookies! How many flavors, you ask? Um, at least FIFTY«everyday» flavors(including gluten-free and vegan) plus some seasonal varieties, plus biscuits, brownies, scones and pocket pies on the counter! We had a seriously hard time choosing, but we persevered. Some were known to me, some had mysterious and intriguing names: Zebra, triple chocolate, lemon & blueberry, coconut macaroon, toffee pretzel, chocolate chip, M&M, white chocolate cherry macadamia, molasses(amazingly chewy), dark chocolate, snickerdoodle, sugardoodle, CM squared, and soooo many more, it boggles the mind. We left with 5 cookies and a biscuit, and a pocket pie. And still we wanted more. Yes, I have issues. Now these aren’t little drop cookies, these are larger than palm sized, and thick, depending on the variety. They run $ 2.25 each or 3 for $ 6, and you can mix and match with the brownies and biscuits. I’m trying to help the economy, so we went for the deal. ;) Each cookie we’ve had has been moist, just the right amount of chewy, not too sweet, nothing overwhelming– just a really good cookie. No complaints, here! The cherry pocket pie was outstanding, like a dense shortbread with bits of sugar crystals on top and just the right amount of cherries and fresh flavor. It was very much like a galette. Fantastic! Jaci’s uses no preservatives and each item is already prepackaged in cellophane for you, with an inner seal– genius, no need to double bag it; it will stay fresh! We’ve stored ours at room temp, and have been packing them in lunches and as treats throughout the week, and they remain fresh and delicious! I wouldn’t go beyond a few days to a week as they have no preservatives and should be eaten within a reasonable amount of time. Today I heated the Irish cheddar and jalapeño biscuit for lunch in the microwave. The cheese became melty and gooey, oozing out. Not a lot, just enough for me to utter the words, «Oh yeaah!» It was a moist, cheesy, light and delicious biscuit, not spicy; still perfect as the day it was born, 5 days later. If you haven’t already figured it out, I highly recommend Jaci’s Cookies if you are in the area, and if you’re not, they do ship. As a matter of fact, I’m guessing they do most of their business from B2B, farmers markets and shipping direct to consumers. And it was sort of fun to see the bakers making their creations in the open layout kitchen, nothing to hide there. They open as early as 6 a.m. some days but are only open til 3 or 4, closed Sundays. If you are spending the day in Woodstock at the charming square, eclectic shops and yummy eateries(or to follow in the footsteps of Groundhog’s Day and Bill Murray), be sure to follow yer nose to Jaci’s, and you, too will surely be rewarded.

Jaci’s Cookies are miraculous! Finding a gluten free, dairy free and soy free cookie is rare — finding one worth eating is phenomenal and getting that cookie from someone as delightful as Jaci is like finding a Unicorn. Have a gluten free berry pie cookie! downtown Woodstock on the Square. Make plans for her cookies at your next gathering!
