I’m hungry late at night after watching a broadway show & looking for any restaurants thats still open around woodside then I found this! Me & my bf ordered 2 types of food that we forgot the name.(Sorry) but I took a picture. My bf ordered some pork chop with egg, beans & fried banana plantain on the side. I ordered a rotisserie chicken with fries, rice & salad on the side. My ordered came with chicken & potato soup. Food came out fast! Everything is so tasty & we enjoyed our meal. Love it that its cheap & they’re open late. This place is good if you’re hungry after partying.

This place is advertised as 24 hrs but its not. At least not 7 days a week. And the weekends it varies. There’s rarely ever any people in here so your food comes out quick. And the service is good. The food tastes good too but mediocre compared to the real pollos a la brasa mario

It’s open very late, the food is nothing to rave about but it’s typical of most of what’s available in the neighborhood. The chicken soup is quite good and on a cold winter morning at 4am it’s very welcome. The downside to going there at the wee hours of the morning is the seemingly never ending trail of questionable characters lurking outside and coming in to eat as well(from the 2 bars next door), but pay this no mind, the meals here are worth the temporary seediness. If you want some spanish food late on Roosevelt Ave please stop in, they are OPENLATE!

Was looking for Pollos Mario and actually stumbled in here instead. The food was really tasty and satisfying especially when youre feeling ravenous. I tried the country platter. come hungry-the portions are huge.

If there is less than one star I would definitely give it to this restaurant. The worst steak I’ve ever had! I came to this restaurant for dinner after a long day at work and I was so excited that I’m going to try Colombian food which was simply horrible. Don’t even think about this place.

If you want real and delicious Colombian food i suggest you try this restaurant. Their food varies from all different types of typical Colombian dishes that all bring a different taste. Coming from a Colombian family that eats at this place almost every Saturdays and some days during the week, we all enjoy the service and mostly the food. Their most popular plate is called la bandeja paisa which brings rice, beans, plantain, arepa, chicharon, meat, etc. The size of each plate is too big just for one person, but they are all good prices. They also have good desserts including tres leches. Best Colombian restaurant around.

I went here and I was satisfied. My favorite colombian dish is bistec encellabado(sorry if I spelled that wrong. Im still practicing my spanish). Therefore I ordered that entrée and I was happy with it. Pollos mario is the best im not going to lie but it was a good runner up. Only street parking is available.

Price wise, they’re excellent. Can’t beat a large $ 10 meal. I would say they are pretty traditional, and thinking back I wish I would have got the chicken. The steak was alright, but my girlfriend loved the arroz con pollo. The empanadas were on point, and we had some great service. It’s a shame folks aren’t taking advantage of it at lunch, because it was pretty great!

I CAN’T believe that as of Sept 2013, this place is rate like a mild 2 and half– THISIS A CLASSICPLACE people!!! I’m sorry for you idiots that ordered things that wasn’t um… derp… POLLOALABRASA. cuz, you know? the place is called POLLOALABRASA marion. for you non-espanol cats, pollo ala brasa is like chicken roast goodness. you get it with rice and beans, add an avocado. I love the chicken platter here… not a big fan of the bland potatoes, i’m good with the lettuce salad with the beets, watever. The ROASTCHICKEN is what you come here for. Stay away from that miserable looking chicharron that they SWEAAAAARRRR is chicharron… nuh uh, leave dat to ma dominican brothers up on 109th st, Santo domingo, se verdad! THEHOTSSAUCE here is KICKASS! right amount of tart, although not really hot… but that didn’t stop the waitress chick from ROLLING her eyes when i asked for my 3rd little teacup of hotsauce. SERIOUS rude like she was«AYyyeee! los chinitos Animales~!!!» yea honey… «We ANiMALEs for Dat CULO!» she did not appreciate that… but the delivery primo that was picking up really liked it when he heard it. And if the delivery primo gives you a fist bump, aint no one gonna fuck wit you. anyway yea. get the chicken here.

The food here is pretty good though its all typical latin food. Fried and/or baked chicken, steak, sausage, plantains and stuff. The prices are a bit high but they are open late. This place is good when you buy food to go. The interior looks dark and the tables plus utensils are sometimes dirty. They do give out large portions of food though, which is a plus.

This has got to be THE worst Colombian restaurant in queens. The food seems like its poorly made, and some serious snotty customer service. Can someone PLEASE do something about the transsexual community on that corner? I came out of the restaurant one night after picking up my order, and I had some small Mexican dude asking me to let him do oral on me. –___– if that wasnt enough, the food is absolutely DRY, GREASY, ANDOVERSEASONED. Good riddance! Btw I’m Colombian.

This is THE most disgusting and disappointing food I’ve ever ordered — EVER. Granted, it was only a pizza, but it had no sauce, WAY too much cheese, and was extremely skimpy on the toppings. Not to mention, an 8″ pizza(if that) was almost $ 12.00! Plus tip!!! I’m never ordering from this place again, no matter HOW hungry I am. I kid you not, I just spit a bite of this horrendous pizza out into the box it came in, and on top of the rest of the pizza. Boy, do I wish I could get my money back… wow.

This is a Colombian restaurant in Woodside right under the 69th Street subway stop. It has been there for many years. The inside is simple, like a diner. The waiter who served us was also very friendly. The food was good but not great. On the menu, they have a section of combination platters — several meats with rice and beans and salad or plantains. I chose the«Bandeja Mario». It is their version of the Colombian bandeja paisa. It came with carne asada, lomo de cerdo, pork chicharron, roast chicken, rice, beans and salad. The portion of my meal was massive! I have a big appetite, and it was way too much meat. This was easily enough for two people to share, and it cost only $ 16. My friend also bought a similar combination platter that had a lot of the same things my bandeja had, but was slightly smaller. It was still too much for him, and his was only $ 10. The downside was that the meat itself was mostly very dry and a little hard — not moist and flavorful. The carne asada and chicken were especially dry. Big portions but the food needs more flavor.

First off, the service here was really nice. Were really friendly & helpful. The juices were really nice(we had 3: papaya; guava; soursop). The soup was also fantastic. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed with the chicken, as that was the primary consideration in going. It was a bit dryer than I would’ve liked and the marinade was not quite what we were expecting. Had tvs going for the world cup. It was good viewing, albeit slightly distracting for conversing. But, did get to see the game, which was nice. Compared to other options in the area, must say there are other things worth revisiting. I’d like to say I’d come back again, but there are so many other places that are guaranteed deliciousness… that’s a hard call.

Great and Interesting Eats on a Budget I highly recommend the daily soup specials at the cozy and warmly decorated Colombian restaurant Pollos A La Brasa Marion on Roosevelt Ave and 69th Street in Woodside. Splurge and order the large soup of the day, all are great, and costing no more than $ 7.95 which includes rice, salad and a meat sampling. I actually always take home half my meal! The coffee is to die for. On one recent visit I was treated to a sampling of delicious doughnut-like bunuelos, on the house. The warm and friendly service cannot be beat! The restaurant was recommended to me by my Ecuadorian born brother-in-law who finds the food authentic and reminds him of his dining experiences back home.
