I think the sole purpose of this duane reade (others as well) is to make people’s life easier. Since I live right next to it, I will go there and buy the stuff I need. I am a smoker so when I have to buy cigarettes I have to show my id. I am an international person so I need to show a government issued ID which I have, an EAD card (government issued ID). Despite the clerk being really rude, it seems like they accept my cards based on their moods and will not listen to my explanation. Clerk work in this store are generally really cold. I hate it but since it s right next to my building I will still go there. But they are just terrible.

They have the basic necessities that you would need. They are relatively small compared to other Duane Reade locations. They have cold generic beer… at least they’re cold, and not WARM generic beers. This is a good location to go to if you drive, because there is a parking lot right behind it.

Long Island City, NY
This is where I go because I despise the Rite Aid by me (see review, cringe at roaches, then come back here). And also because I am often way too lazy to walk allllll the way to CVS on 40th street. That’s like a serious hike, yo!
It is relatively clean, although definitely on the smaller side for your typical Duane Reade. I have been fighting getting a rewards card, but I may crumble eventually and stuff yet another useless piece of plastic in my wallet. Something to look forward to, I suppose.
