I took the Anga Mardhana program with Jordan and Melanie in June 2014, and I feel that the program is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning classical Hata yoga in such a way that you can practice it on your own. Jordan and Melanie are both incredible teachers. I found them to be supportive and persistent that everyone perform the postures with correct alignment. It is also helpful that they point out the common mistakes that people make, which helped me to become more aware of my own posture. Anga Mardhana in itself is a great workout that builds in cardiovascular exercise into a routine that also builds strength and flexibility. It surprised me because although I consider myself to be in better physical fitness that the average person, I was still very challenged by the routine. Overall, Be Hata Yoga is a must for anyone who considers themselves a yoga aficionado.

Learning Surya Kriya and Angamardana at Be Hata Yoga has been a very transforming experience for me. I have been doing these practices from a few months and I find myself becoming more conscious and stable while holding yogic postures. The class is structured to help one achieve higher levels of physical and mental stability and it has certainly done that for me. Jordan(the teacher) never misses any detail both while teaching the practices as well as when giving you feedback to correct your postures. It is amazing how he remembers and follows up with you if you had any difficulty in getting the postures right. I would certainly recommend Be Hata Yoga!

I learned Angamardhana through Be Hata Yoga and have been practicing it for couple of weeks now. It has a tremendous impact in staying alert/focussed, increasing the attention span and to remain overall fit. I don’t want to miss this even a single day because of the stability it brings to my mind and body. Jordan’s(the teacher) way of teaching these practices has helped improve my flexibility and stamina. What impresses about his style of teaching is his quite observation and insightful feedback. He also posses a thorough understanding of these postures and what body parts are involved in the posture. This helps one derive the best out of the class.

I was taking Hata Yoga classes with Jordan for several months this past summer while offered in San Francisco. He was very patient and able to accommodate a range of skills within the class while still being very specific in corrections to improve my yoga postures. I would highly recommend him and his philosophy on yoga to those that are interested in making an inner change and looking for yoga that goes beyond just getting a physical workout.
