The lobby reeks of some kind of synthetic air freshener or other synthetic perfume. I would not want to exercise in this airspace. It would give me a migraine.

Oasis may work for some, however I did not have a good experience here. They offer you a free week to try them out which is a plus, so I recommend at least trying them to see if it’s a good fit. After having my baby I needed to get back in shape so I tried one of their classes which focused on arms. Half way thru the class the instructor said she usually stops the new members at that point but she doesn’t believe in stopping. I felt shamed for wanting to stop so I stayed until the end which was a huge mistake. I damaged my muscles so bad I couldn’t hold my baby for 2 days. That was a very dangerous situation for me to be in and the instructor should of known better. I didn’t find any of the women here to be friendly whatsoever. For the price they charge I expected the actual gym to be in better shape– the machines are quite junky. They don’t offer childcare either. Come on ladies– it’s a women’s gym. I eventually shopped around and found a great gym that has everything I want and more. I’m very happy I did my homework before committing. My advice– look at all your options.

This place is awesome. It isn’t too crowded and a great place to work out. I bought the groupon or livingsocial for this place and really enjoyed unwinding here. The gym facility/equipment is pretty clean. One of the things I really appreciated was that this gym does not smell at all. They have fans to keep you cool and a tv to watch while working out. I remember the staff was always very welcoming and nice whenever I went there. I wish all gyms were this fabulous.

My daughter has participated in the Volleyball clinics and we are signing up for more! Meilka trains right next to the girls and pushes them with dignity and a smile. I would love to get more VB girls to participate on a weekly basis from all area teams. We drive 45 minutes to be inspired, pushed and strengthened

Absolutely love this place! I feel so at home here, which is saying a lot for a gym. Well priced, well run, friendly staff. I was a little skeptical to attend a women’s only fitness place, but I am so happy I gave it a try. Definitely a keeper!

I love the Oasis. Two years ago I started my journey to fitness in a very dangerous place. I was morbidly obese and resigning myself to a future of serious health conditions. I spent over a year on my own, just trying to get it done by myself. I hit 50 pounds lost(amazing on it’s own) but spent another 5 months completely plateaued there. At a silent auction in January of this year, I won a punch card for 11 visits to Oasis… my punch card only had three stamps on it before I became a member. I continued to work out solo, but took advantage of all the equipment at Oasis. I was making progress, but by February, I branched out and started attending spin class twice a week. After meeting new people and making new friends, I started trying all the classes they were talking about and taking. Now I can say that there are very few classes I haven’t tried, including the specialty classes they offer(TRX, boot camps, etc.,) and, at this point, my experience at Oasis has been so positive, that I just consider my exercise routine an enjoyable part of my life. I adore that I look forward to Cory’s Muscle Conditioning class on Saturday mornings, and that Maya and Theresa will push me to go harder every week at spin. The staff is great, and as others have mentioned, they know you by name within days. They are always there with a smile, a supportive word or a laugh. I use the cardio room at completely random times on completely random days, and though I can admit I have my favorite machines, and I have never had to wait for one of them to become available. I utilize the tanning beds occasionally, and again, have never been told that there isn’t one available. Personally, I find the price reasonable because I go regularly(5 – 6 times a week). Honestly, when I do the math, it costs me less to be a member for each of my visits than I willingly spend on a latte EVERY day. And, because of the support and equipment at Oasis, I can still have that latte *every single day* and still say that I weigh 110 pounds less than I did two years ago.

I love this gym! I actually started going there in 1989 when it was New Dimensions and went thru several owners and a name change until 2001 when I left Woodland. Now, 10 years later I’m back in Woodland and joined again. I still love it. My favorite class is Cory’s Muscle Conditioning and I also like the Body Pump classes. Really nice owner and staff. Great instructors! Really like the all women environment of support and encouragement. Also, the cost is very reasonable. This place rocks! No, really it rocks out! Go there and see for yourself.

Have been going to the Oasis for years and love it. The staff is always caring and helpful. The facials and massaged are a wonderful treat.

Over priced, poorly run, I will never set foot in there again.

I just moved from the Sac area, and I miss Oasis SO much! I lived in Davis, and this was only a short drive: I felt lucky to have found out about the place completely randomly! It was very important to me that a club be all-women, and this one fits the bill! It’s small, but it suited me very well. It is made up of three basic rooms: one large fitness area for aerobics and other classes, a cardio room with various machines, and finally a weight room that also features bikes for spinning classes. There’s a spacious locker room, with a sauna and towel service. There are two showers and plenty of lockers, and I never had a problem with theft. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only drawback for those with kids is that there is not a childcare room; there are chairs and tables, however, where older kids can color or read, etc. There are enough machines that I rarely had to wait for one I wanted. Like I said, it was small, but the perfect fit for me!
