Now before I begin, I want to say that I’m writing this solely based on my experience with the hibachi dinner! Which I would say is 5 stars! The food was fresh and delicious! They were accommodating when I wanted substitutions and it was the first time eating hibachi where I didn’t feel grossly full after! All the food was fresh and light, not too much oil or butter! I took the leftovers home and they were still as good the next day! Only reason why I gave it a 3⁄5 was because they were short staffed with chefs and the party at the grill across from us, where a few of them actually arrived before us, had to wait for over an hour for their food. We were seated at the same time and their chef didn’t come until after we paid the check. It was quite ridiculous! We chatted with them and they were nice, just wish they were treated and served as well as we were! I plan on returning, just unsure if it would be for meals other than the hibachi!

My go to hibachi place in my area. 1. Make a reservation they can get busy 2. Lots of food for a decent price 3. Good sushi and Chinese if your not feeling the hibachi 4. Very accommodating with food/diet restrictions 5. BYOB

The WORST sushi I’ve ever had. Ordered Philadelphia roll. It was LITERALLY a giant chunk of cream cheese wrapped in rice. Shrimp tempura was nothing but batter rolled in rice. We picked apart the tempura chicken and the tempura shrimp rolls to find the actual shrimp. Shrimp and chicken was about the size of a tic tac. I don’t post about BAD food typically but they should be embarrassed to serve what I got today. The WORST.

so this was the first time I have ever been to Imperial. I came here for the Hibachi and I must admit this was better then I expected. I have been to many hibachi places in the area and this was better then most of them. For a place that has a combination of chinese, sushi, japanese and hibachi it exceeded my expectations. I always assumed for hibachi to be good its usually at a place that just does it or specializes in it. I got rice and noodles with mine, which u do get charged extra if u choose both, but they were both really tasty. i liked the taste of the noodles here. you get alot of food as usual but not overboard. the hibachi chef we had was funny and entertained the whole table which is always nice to see. it was a pretty expensive but with the dish i got it seemed to be just about worth it. i got the chicken hibachi dinner. it came with salad, soup, rice or noodles(but i got both again), two shrimp, some vegetables, as well as ice cream. I would come back here again.

Sushi is always fresh and consistently good. My husband and I absolutely love the nebeyaki udon soup, which very few places offer. The hibachi is also great and they make birthdays extra fun. Plenty of comfortable seating and a friendly staff. Prices are reasonable– overall a great spot. They have something for everyone.

We had a family dinner at Imperial 46. We opted to do hibachi(they do have regular tables with a full menu). The servers were very friendly and accommodating. They provided us with a highchair for my 2 year old niece and gave her trainer chopsticks which she mastered in 2 minutes. The hibachi chef put on a good show. Portion sizes were generous, the food was good and prices were reasonable. One person in our party wanted to order off the menu instead of having hibachi and it wasn’t a problem. They do get crowded rather quickly on a Saturday night so, if you don’t mind eating early, try to make reservations for 5 or 530pm. By 6:30 all the hibachi tables were full.

Went for lunch on a weekend and the place was pretty empty so if you want to come, consider going at an earlier time. This was my first time to this hibachi, and I know they can get crowded at night. Only my boyfriend and I and two other people were at the table, so there was a small wait in order to get someone else as we were seated first. It’s pretty standard as far as hibachis go but still delicious. The chef was entertaining and we didn’t have to worry about refills. Since part of the cost is for the enjoyment of the food cooked in front of you, it’s something to do on occasion for a date. For the ice cream, be adventurous and try the red bean or green tea if you never have! It’s unusual at first, but still interesting and it’s good to try new things.

For me, having both Chinese AND Japanese food is totes ma-gotes! I am obviously NOT just limited to eating Chinese food OR Japanese food. Ordered takeout last night about 9PM and they close at 9.30PM, so I thought right away I was not a #1 fan. Ordered simply, fried rice, gyoza, shumai and wonton soup. The fried rice and pan fried dumpling was baller!!! I wish the Shumai could have been pan fried, but he only said it came steamed. But it was still yummo!!! I am definitely curious to eat in-house at this place and being that it’s BYOB, that will definitely get me in the door. So until then, this place is rock n’ roll!

I’ve been to Imperial many times and each of them have given me mixed experiences with each. The food however, is always 5 star and perfectly portioned and cooked and I have never had an issue. It’s the service that sometimes can vary greatly between visits. Sometimes it’s fantastic and other times it seems like they just want to get me in and out as quick as possible. That’s why they would only get 3 star service from me. But as the food goes, whenever I go I choose hibachi because of the fullness I am left with after every meal. It’s worth it to pay a little bit more than other places because of this. Every time I go I leave full and very rarely will I leave anything on my plate to waste. I’ve been to Mt, Fuji as well as many other hibachi restaurants in the area and this one is by far my favorite. Perfect way to end the day and will be back again.

I use them primarily for delivery but for that they are great. Their rolls are fresh and their Chinese food is quite tasty. Their portions are pretty generous which is always good. If you live in the area I would recommend for take out or delivery.

Excellent hibachi restaurant! The chefs really put on a funny, entertaining show. I always crack up during the presentation. The hibachi food is really delicious too — especially the steak. Not a fan of the sushi here though. I ordered a spicy salmon roll and an eel roll — both tasted fishy and odd. The hibachi would get 5 stars though. Check it out!

Very, very good 5 star hibachi. Yummy, yummy and entertaining. Staff is nice. BYOB. Sushi could use a little help though… Hard to give 4 – 5 stars when the sushi stinks, BUT really if you’re coming for hibachi looks no further this place rocks.

I go here regularly for Chinese food and Sushi. I recently celebrated my 30th birthday at one of their hibachi tables on July 3rd, we had 11 guests. Our had a chef(had flames on his chef hat) who was awesome. He definitely made the experience extra fun! The food was great– I wish I could make fried rice that awesome! I had miso soup, green salad with ginger dressing, fried rice, veggies, shrimp and chicken. I walked away SOFULL as did the rest of the party. *Loved the birthday celebration!* I’d recommend this as a birthday dinner for all ages! Something on the menu for everyone! They have great food and great service – what more do you need! :)

This was my first visit to this restaurant. If I get the chance to go back, I will. They offer Chinese, Sushi, and Hibachi. Our party had Chinese and Sushi. I ordered egg drop/wonton soup. That’s where they lost a star. The wontons weren’t very flavorful and they were a bit gummy. For dinner I order the House Specialty Chow Fun. I haven’t had Chow Fun that good since the Tea House in Fair Lawn closed. It is really good, to me. The rest our my party each ordered a different soup. A wonton soup, a Miso soup, and a Hot & Sour soup. The Hot &Sour. Soup received excellent reviews while the others did not comment. One ordered sushi a la carte and was very pleased. One ordered shrimp with lobster sauce. It had a lot of shrimp and was enjoyed. One had shrimp with mixed veggies. That was also enjoyed. See photos.

We had celebrated my birthday dinner here in the hibachi area of the restaurant with ten guests. We made reservations one week in advance for 8PM. We arrive about 15 minutes early and were promptly seated on time, according to our reservation. The chef was very fun, he made our dinner fun to watch. The service was pretty good. The place is also BYOB, so you can bring your own beverages and they will provide you ice buckets, a wine opener, etc. There is a Fairway next door with a liquor store. The Food: delicious! I ordered edamame as an appetizer and loved the clear soup they gave us to start with. I got hibachi chicken for my dinner. The only thing I didn’t like was that you had to choose between rice or noodles as a side. At other hibachi places I have gone to, they give you both. Also, after dinner you get free ice cream! YUM!!! Since it was my birthday, they had a disco light flashing and they sang happy birthday whenever it was someone’s birthday and gave you these fun light up glasses to wear, and put a candle on a HUGE ice cream sundae! They made the experience fun. I have dined here many times for lunch and dinner in the regular Chinese restaurant here and it is very good!!! A must go to! And one of my favorites!

This is the only hibachi place I trust. Maybe I’m a bit weird because although they’re cooking everything in front of me, I get skived out at other places BUT this place is as good as it gets. The restaurant offers a Chinese sit-down/take-out and a hibachi section. The staff is extremely nice and they take reservations. Chefs are always very good at getting the table involved with there saki tricks and the ooos and aaahs. Food is good but don’t get fooled and fill up early. With any hibachi dinner you get a salad with ginger dressing, a miso soup and shrimp. If they don’t soak the salad in dressing its pretty good… the miso soup is pretty watered down but its usually still decent enough. During the cooking show, the chef will also cook up two pieces of shrimp for each guest which is good. I always recommend to get a combination dinner. Although you’re paying more, you get double the amount of food. Enjoy the show, clap when you should, and good luck taking the saki!

Imperial 46 offers both a sit down style dinner or hibachi cooking. The restaurant has a very relaxed feel and you are welcomed by the staff as soon as you enter. There is the typical fish tank and other asian décor all around. Towards the back of the restaurant there is a sushi bar and small room for parties. My husband and I came for hibachi dinner tonight, celebrating his birthday. I ordered the salmon and scallops both were cooked to perfection. I loved the fried rice with the«yummy yummy» sauce. The chef was quite comical while he was preparing the food. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because you have to pay extra for both noodles and rice. Other than that everything was very good. It’s BYOB which is a plus too. Lastly, the waitress asked if we were celebrating anything and I, of course, wanted to embarrass my husband so I told them it was his b-day. They gave him a free dessert and goofy glasses. We will definitely be back!

Still one our favorites! Recently, however, we noticed that hot dishes are no longer arriving hot.. .soups we had were barely lukewarm, and the bowls — as well as those for Singapore mei fun — were actually chilled(which caused the food to cool, as well). We’re not sure why this occurred, but hot food should arrive that way. Service, at nonpeak times, has also been slower than expected, despite a more than adequate number of servers.
