Really nice Judaica store with a pretty good selection of items. Some are pretty darn expensive, but they had a decent selection of stuff under $ 50 as well, which was the price range I was hoping for in my quest for a Hanukah present for an aunt/uncle. They have themed yarmulkes(kipot), tons of lovely mirrors, hanukiahs, hamsas, candles, oils, books, movies, CDs, and so on. If you’re in the market for Judaica and can’t wait on shipping from an item online, this store is about 800 sq. feet of goodies. Heck, I don’t think I can ever bring my wife back, or we might walk out with a grand worth of stuff we don’t need! The only issue I had was with the checkout process. I’m thinking because we were there on a ridiculously busy day it was unusual — people just sort of lined up along a front counter and employees would try to figure out who showed up first. I’d wager on a normal day, the 2 – 3 people there can pretty easily take care of the 2 – 3 people buying things. But with 15 – 20 people trying to get last-minute gifts, things got a bit hectic.

Amazing service! They really care about their customers. I went in to buy a certain type of Siddur, they told me that what I wanted doesn’t exist, but they had a good selection. Since what I wanted doesn’t exist, I was about to settle and buy one that was close to it. Then the man that was helping me, gave me a few laminated papers with the prayers and style that I wanted. When I asked how much, he said no charge. I really felt cared for, thanks!

We desperately needed a ketubah ASAP(marriage document) because another store made a mistake on our order … Was recommended to call this store by a friend. I called and was immediately greeted by good news– Stacey picked up and told me they could absolutely help us in time ! She recommended I look through their online gallery, which I did and was so impressed by the selection. I found a few I liked, but the rush shipping would cost 100 $ so Stacey’s idea was for me to come into the store and see what they had. I drove out there and lo and behold, the first one Stacey’s husband David showed me was perfect! He packed it up nicely, helped me choose some gifts for my fiancé and we were good to go, one less last minute wedding prep checked off the list, phew! I have only good things to say about this couple and their inventory. Huge selection compared to Judaica stores in the city, surprisingly. Will definitely be back. Thanks!

Hands down the best Judaica shop in the Valley(and there are a lot of Judaica shops in the Valley). Customer service is great. First time customers come in as strangers and leave as friends(can you beat that?). On top of these accolades, Shalom House features guest artists. This is a great way to develop a relationship with the artists themselves — their character and their craft.

It’s was my brother’s 25th birthday last week and I really wanted to get him something special.(Thought that a perfume or vouchers wouldn’t do it since it’s a «mile stone birthday…) I thought of buying him a star of david pendant or something along those(jew) lines… But I didn’t even know where to start! Most jewelry places don’t really offer a good selection and verity of designs.(Well there is this place in Downtown, but I’m in the Valley sooo… And yes, I did leave it for the last minute… But anyways…) Luckily I have been referred to this place by my friend Inbal, who bought a present for her husband and she strongly recommended me to check out Shalom House store. first I went to the web site. Wow, the designs are amazing. I didn’t realize what a variety there is out there for Star Of David’s, Hamsa’s, Mezuza necklaces and many(many) more! The prices do seem a bit steep, but to me, so worth it. I figured, if I buy this kind of a jewelry, it is a piece to be warn all the time(my nan bought me my Star Of David 6 years ago and it’s not coming off)… Went to the shop at my first chance and managed to find a beautiful neckless with Kabbalah wordings on it. Gorgeous.(And came with the neckless and the box at $ 85!) My bother loved his present and I am sure that he will wear it and keep it for years. As for the store — It is fairly large and filled with everything from Books, Mezuzah’s, Wall Hamsa, Menorah, anything judaica. And everything seemed to be coming with an extensive designs and sizes and prices. Nice one. The staff seemed really nice too… Though busy they still managed to welcome me in, help me find that specific piece I was after. Once chosen(after many debates) the lady shined it for me and wrapped it really nicely(no extra charge by the way.) I really cannot think of any where in the Valley which offers all this Judaica’s goodness, definitely highly recommended.

Family run store with a fabulous selection of EVERYTHING Jewish… anything and everything you could want or need… candles, candlesticks, mezuzahs, yarmulkes, tallisim, music, ketubahs, passover needs, jewelry, books, artwork, etc etc etc… fantastic selection with lots to choose from. All staff are knowledgeable about their stock, and if they don’t have it, they know how to get it. Only drawback is that because they are one of the FEW stores to stock this kind of inventory, they kind of have the cornerstone on what they can charge. THEYARENOTCHEAP by any means. It’s this way for me… I go in there, I fall in love with something they show me, and I get it inspite of its cost. I spend a bit of time afterward easing through the guilt and worry that I just spent so much.
