We are here on Super bowl sunday and I am thoroughly embarrassed at the terrible service we are getting. After simply asking the host what the score was, he invited us to sit in the bar area. Ok… some menus would have been nice. 10 mins later the bar tender decided to come over. Oh it NOT busy, one party at the bar, one other table in the bar. We got a «HI.» and that was it… when we asked her about happy hour, she literally pointed to the table tent and tapped it. We finally got a menu out of her then got another waiter, who was just as sullen and unwelcoming took our order… no recommendation, none of the usual Ruth Chris class… what the hell happened to this place? Food was awesome. the runners who brought the food were friendly, thank goodness.

We came here on Super Bowl Sunday and there were a few people at the bar cheering on the game, but only about 3 tables of guests in the dining area that I could see. Our server Jeff was friendly. Gabe kept our water glasses full as requested and table clean, wrapped our leftovers securely and quickly… he gave 5 star service. The food was ok. Unfortunately something I ate at dinner upset my stomach, which always puts a damper on an evening. There was one thing very odd that stood out in service too… someone that appeared to be the manager walked from table to table speaking to the other guests except our table. I would have loved for them to come by since I wanted to check that my food allergy was clear to the kitchen, but they never did. I didn’t feel comfortable asking the server to send a manager over because I knew he was doing his best, but I always feel more comfortable speaking to a manager or chef when ordering off of an allergy menu.

I enjoy the cozy bar area to eat, but the main dinning room is also nice. Osso Buco ravioli is amazing, a must try! Crab stuffed mushrooms are always tasty. The Ruth’s chopped salad or the wedge is great. Steaks here are cooked to perfection and always tender. My favorite is the petite filet. Mashed potatoes and creamed spinach are my favorite sides. Grilled tomatoes are really good too. Sweet potatoes with brown sugar topping. The cheese cake and Banana pie are delicious! Friendly staff provides a wonderful dinning experience. The bar offers a happy hour with discounted prices which is so nice.

Had an awful experience last evening in the bar. After waiting for over 20 minutes for a table, my husband and I sat down at an open table were approached by two waiters who told us to get up… that there was a list of people waiting. When we asked why no one offered to inform us, one responded«everyone knows» in a someone officious tone. I asked where we signed up, Mr. Officious said at the front desk… one of the«girls» should have told us. The other said, «no, you sign up with the bartender.» So even they didn’t have their guidelines straight. A couple leaving a table offered it to us and one of waiters actually shouted, «No! That’s not the way it’s done.» We left and went to Morton’s on Canoga Avenue and had a great dinner. There are now at least five steakhouses in a 2 mile radius… Morton’s, Monty’s, Flemmings, Larsen’s and Ruth’s. Needless to say, we will be going to any of the first four and will never return to Ruth’s.

This place is amazing. I was recommended by a friend and took my fiancé for our anniversary. She loved it. If you call they will prep your table prior to your arrival. All the waiters are very nice and friendly. The food is amazing. It can get pricey but well worth it!

This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Our waiter was Debbie and she was really great. When I placed my usual drink order of Markers Mark, she kindly suggest I try Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey. Not cheap at $ 16.00 a pour, but very good and very smooth. The bartender makes sure you get your money’s worth! The Queen of Reseda and I split a Caesar salad. Also split the 16 oz. bone in prime Filet Mignon, and Crab Cake entrees. Shared some Asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, and a giant loaded baked potato. They brought her Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake with Cranberry-Pecan Bark for her B-Day. Wow! #1 and #2 Daughters each had the 6 oz. Filet topped with a lobster pinwheel plus salads and sides included with Ruth’s Classics menu. I heard Oohh’s & Aahh’s coming from the other side of the table. If you go, watch out for the million degree plates everything comes on. No joke! Yes, Ruth’s is a bit of a splurge but you only go around once right?

Had not had Ruth Chris for years. Came in with husband family for a sit down dinner. Good service, same«steak sitting in butter» experience. Do your digestive system a favor and order a steak salad before meat loading. (This entry was written by my husband)

I was here for a holiday party and knew it would be amazing because after all, it IS Ruth’s Chris famous steakhouse. I was snapped back to reality when our group was sat, all 18 of us. I was simply blown away at the lack of service we received at this restaurant. One would think the service would be on point and the BEST because after all, it IS RuTH’s CHRIS. unfortunately it all went down hill from the jump. The service was so bad that I was questioning the restaurant selection. I even suggested the next year they select another restaurant that will truly appreciate the business by giving exemplary service. The bill for this table was in the ball park of $ 3K, even though I was a guest of the holiday party, I took note and said I will never reserve this chain in the future after this experience. I’ve even suggested to another friend that owns a company to stop going to the one in Beverly Hills, it’s just not what it used to be 20 years ago, plain and simple. The only person at this restaurant that makes this place worthy of a 1 star is GABE. I hope that in the future you make the right staff choices with large parties because it could make or break your business. and one server for 18 people is just poor planning.

Sadly, tonight wasn’t a good night for customer service at our favorite restaurant. I made reservations for my friend’s birthday and requested a booth. I called ahead when the restaurant opened at 4:30 to confirm my reservation and the booth request and the they told me they would do there very best to provide me a private table if a booth wasn’t available, but with 8:30 reservations and knowing it’s a birthday, I would think they would do there best. That’s the only thing, the seating is so tight at these restaurants — you can forget a private conversation unless you have a booth. We arrived at 8:30 and asked to wait 10 minutes. 20 minutes later they take us to a small tight spot(in the midst of about 5 groups of diners) which I refused. We went back to the waiting area and they take us to an end table in another tiny space which was exactly the same as the last spot but we took it. I noticed another table for two in a private corner against the wall that was perfect so I asked to be switched to that table which they did but as we were switching the bus boy hit my friend in the head with his tray as he was cleaning the table(shows how small the space was) so disappointing and it was his birthday. The guy apologized and everything but later tried to say he didn’t do anything. They threw a few happy birthday confetti on the table but at the Pasadena location, for his birthday last year, it was a nice surprise to see they put his name at the top of the menu for that day and gave us a booth as I requested. Anyway, what saved the night was the constant at this place and that’s the delicious food. Our server was also a really nice guy, after all the confusion he tried his best to make the night better. I had Pinot Noir and sizzling crab cakes — delish. For my main course, I had blackened salmon which was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. He had Cadillac margarita which he said was very weak and the cowboy ribeye steak(had a lot of fat this time though) which he said was good as usual. We had steamed spinach and mashed sweet potatoes on the side. The spinach needed a little salt and pepper but the mashed sweet potatoes were the best thing I’ve eaten since Thanksgiving! I was sad that my favorite entrée the Chilean seabass wasn’t on the menu either but the server said it would be returning later in a few months. Too bad we won’t be returning to this location. My first mind said to go to the Pasadena location but we just didnt want to make the drive when this one is closer. Kudos on the food and to the server but two big thumbs down on the customer service and seating arrangements. The lady in charge couldn’t even look at me. We passed the huge table in the center of the restaurant with the glass backing and saw table service for two and only two people sitting in the center all cozy and I wasn’t a happy camper. I didn’t see any birthday confetti either!

Came here for a company Christmas party and loved every second! The food was delicious, the drinks were strong(huzzah!) and the service was top notch. I honestly don’t really have any complaints about this location. I don’t know if it was because we were a large group, but when I ordered the surf & turf, I was kinda surprised to see it come out as a steak with a strip of lobster tail on top. No separate lobster tail to take out. Oh well. I guess that just meant less work for me. Just didn’t have the presentation I usually like. But taste always trumps presentation in my book and both the steak & the lobster was perfect. Can’t wait for my next trip to Ruth’s Chris!

Our waitress was the best!!! We love you Nicole. She made not only the birthday boy first time experience great but the kids. My niece was so excited to try a fancy steakhouse for the first time. She got all dressed up and was looking forward to dinner. During dinner our waitress said«only adults plate comes out extremely hot so be very careful kids.» My neice then said«Nicole would it be okay if I get a hot plate.» Nicole replied«sure as long as you promise me you will be very careful.» She’s growing up too fast lol. Kids received free ice cream or sorbet and free drinks. Porterhouse for 2 was good enough for my boyfriend and I(PLUS the kids but they wanted to order from the kids menu.) Happy birthday Linh! Thank you again Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

We made reservations for 5 on a Wednesday night. We didn’t get seated right away but it wasn’t a big deal so we just hung out in the bar for a while. After about 15 minutes after we were finally seated. Our server was very helpful explaining the menu. They have a prix fixe menu for $ 56 that include a starter, entrée, side, as well as a dessert. If there’s a side that isn’t part of the prix fixe you can substitute it for an additional $ 2. I ended up ordering the caesar salad, ribeye, and the lyonnaise potatoes(recommended by our server). My salad was fine, not too heavily dressed but I would of liked less parmesan. I ordered my ribeye medium rare and the first bite was extremely tender and juicy. The first half of my steak was honestly the best steak I’ve ever had. However the second half was a lot more rough, possibly because the plate that it’s served in is extremely hot. The lyonnaise potatoes are just sliced potatoes that are deep fried and covered with caramelized onions. They were good for what they were, but not something I would order again. For dessert we had the turtle cheesecake and chocolate bark. The cheesecake was a bit rich and heavy, I would of enjoyed it more if it was fluffier.

This was the second time I’ve been here…10 years in between! It was really delicious! Shrimp cocktail, spicy lobster, petite filet with shrimp! Wow!!! At first it took a little while for someone to come and say hello to us but once the service started it was very good.

My love for steak runs as deep as my love for sushi. Ever since, I discovered fancy steakhouses, I have loved them so! Ruth Chris Steakhouse was one of my first steakhouse that I used to venture to. Ever since then, I have been to other steakhouses, but Ruth Chris holds a special place in my heart for being one of the first ever steakhouses to try. It’s been a few year since I have been to Ruth Chris, but I decided to venture here again for a dinner on Tuesday night. This location is located in Promenade in Woodland Hills. I had a little bit of a hard time finding it because it was part of this abandoned part of the shopping center. There is ample parking to be found in the area. Make sure to make reservations! It was Tuesday night and it was pretty packed. I got seated right away because I made the reservation. After looking at the menu, I decided to try their version of a combo, which included a salad/soup, entrée, side, and dessert. I decided to try the following: 1. Steak Salad — The salad was pretty fresh, nothing bad to say about it. I had it with balsamic vinaigrette and the dressing was very light and not filling. 2. Filet mignon and shrimp — I enjoyed the filet, it was so tender and juicy. The plate does come VERY hot, and the steak keeps cooking on the plate, so you might want to consider that for your temperature of the meat. 3. Mushroom and mashed potatoes — These were my sides. I was SUPER disappointed in the sides. The mashed potato was so bland, I started throwing salt on it to make it taste better. The mushroom was also so bland and there was no taste to it. It was not a good pairing with my steak, which made the rest of meal feel sort of empty. 4. Dessert — I don’t remember what the dessert was called, but it had a chocolate cake and ice cream on it. I didn’t like it too much as I thought that the cake was a little too dry. The only thing that I ate was the ice cream. Overall, I hate to say this, but I give Ruth Chris 3 stars. Although, I did enjoy the steak, everything else was kind of bland or dry. There are other steakhouses(e.g. Mastros) that has better everything. But, I wanted to give a quick nod to our waiter(Lou), who was super nice and attentive all night. I think that the service was excellent. Maybe, I will give this place another try sometime, but order some other sides.

Ruth’s Chris is one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to! The servers were so friendly and patiently answered all our questions! They got us a very nicely decorated table for my girlfriends 21st birthday! We had the garlic mashed potatoes, lobster mac n cheese and 16oz ribeye steaks: The garlic mashed potatoes were so good! Not too salty like some places! Perfect texture and consistency! The lobster mac n cheese was so cheesy and so good! The pasta was perfectly al dente, there were actual giant chunks of lobster in this! Not itty bitty pieces but chunks! You hardly ever se that Now onto my favorite part… The ribeye One of the best steaks I have ever had! The ribeye from here is so soft it’ll literally melt in your mouth! Comes on a hot plate with garlic herb butter! The experience here was amazing My girlfriend loved it! We even had a complimentary dessert sampler! Came with black truffles, vanilla ice cream and a strawberry shortcake All I can say is DELICIOUS. Will be back very soon! Thank you everyone at Ruth’s Chris!

Once you write a review the employees start harassing you. Now I’ll be taking this up with corporate. What a train wreck of a restaurant to train their employees to treat customers this way. Of course we will never return here. There are so many more quality restaurants with PROFESSIONALSTAFF as management never made one effort to step in and see that we were satisfied. Ridiculous bar policy and even more ridiculous server Cheryl(the short blonde with the big mouth) We had a reservation for dinner arrived about 15 – 20 min early so they told us to have a seat in the bar and we would be seated at our table shorty only the bar has a ridiculous policy of reserved or wait list seating. If we are already have a reservation we needed another to sit in the bar? why did your hostess direct us to the bar is this were the case. Either way the horrible server argued with me and told us we could not sit in the bar. I was furious. She was so rude and if this is your policy why are you directing persons to the bar if there is already a wait list besides reservations? Table service was much better. I had the Petite filet with roasted corn and the boyfriend had the sea bass and we shared desert. Food was average. thei cmost memorable part was the crappy service in the bar and I don’t mean memorable in a good way.

I adore Ruth’s Chris. I had their dineLA menu. I came here with my boyfriend and, let me tell you, the service was exceptional. The steak that I had(fillet) was the most tender cut steak I’ve ever had. The steal was filled with flavor and they cooked my steak medium rare– just the way I like it. I also had the lobster tail on the side which went excellent with my steak. The texture and the flavor was so delicious. I can’t stop raving about their steak… Ok ok, back to the lobster tail… I thought the lobster tasted delicious. There was a slight moment where I felt the tail was too salty but it was still very flavorful(especially with their sauce and asparagus). For dessert, my boyfriend and I had the cheesecake with the bark. It was so good. Overall, the food and the atmosphere was great. Paired with great service, this place is a winner.
