Soooooo business messaged me… asked for my number so that the manager could contact me to hopefully make my second experience better, which I was really pleased with… this was two weeks ago now… still no phone call –_– way to redeem! Super awesome.

If you want to get fat(or stay fat), come to J-FAT. You won’t be sorry. Make sure you order the Brussel sprouts if you want deep fried heart clogging food. Also, make sure you order an IPA or the driest wine you can find; trust me, you’ll need it to cut through all that grease.

Flies!!! Flies!!! Flies!!! That’s pretty much all I can remember about our early Father’s Day celebration tonight. Actually, let me start from the beginning. I called and made reservations on TUESDAY for 6 people for 6:30 under my name(you can’t make a reservation online for more than 5 people). We had to push our reservation time to 7:15, so my dad called to change it. When we arrived, they didn’t even have our reservation. So that immediately put me in a bad mood. However, they sat us right away. What seemed like a great table turned into the most annoying table in the whole restaurant. Why, you ask? Oh, well because it was right by the door to the outside seating area and every time the door opened, a bunch of flies flew in. We had about 7 flies on the window right behind us, which buzzed around us the whole time we were there. We mentioned it to the waiter who told us that the manager would take care of it tomorrow. Gee, that really helps us while we’re eating dinner tonight. So we finish dinner and the waiter brings the check. He then proceeds to tell us that he spoke to multiple managers and there is nothing they could do about the flies with regards to the check. Did I ask for anything to be comped? No!!! Don’t insinuate that I did. I was appalled and completely insulted. What would have been nice is if one of the«multiple managers» came over to apologize about the flies. I didn’t want anything for free. But thanks for making me feel like I did. Nothing says great customer service like insulting your customers. Thanks for the lovely evening, JFAT! We won’t be back.

I’ve been to Joey, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, and Eureka! twice. Hands down Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern is the best restaurant I’ve been to at the Village. Got there just as they opened on this Saturday for lunch. Got a big leather booth all to ourselves. Our waiter was Irving, and he was great. I wanted Jimmy’s Famous Cheeseburger, but opted for the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. Good choice! I did the pickled jalapenos on the side and I’m glad I did. The Chipotle Aioli delivered the perfect spice level. Terrific sandwich, I highly recommend it. It’s on par with the Southern Fry at Plan Check and that’s saying a lot. I love that fu#%ing sandwich. My GF the Queen of Reseda likes her Prime Rib sandwiches and ranks Jimmy’s Famous up there with any of the Hillstone Restaurant Group places like Houston’s and Gulfstream. I had a big hunk and it’s true. Very very good. Killer au Ju for dipping. Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern is not cheap. Really great high end food usually isn’t. We felt the food and quality was worth the splurge. Our lunch was awesome and we most certainly will return for more.

First time going and I had the Cajun Bass, my co workers had the other two dishes. Presentation was really nice, food was very good and the service was very good as well. I Will definitely go back.

This post is long overdue! My boss took me out for lunch a couple of months ago. She had the Deli Pastrami Reuben & I tried the Maine Lobster & Shrimp Club both with Parmesan Truffle Fries. She couldn’t stop talking about her sandwich all day and neither could I. It was so good & the service was great!

Mixed review: service was too slow, and the prices a bit high for what it is. However, the French Dip sandwich was quite good as was the tomato bisque. The competition for restaurants at this mall — the Village — is quite high, and there are better values with as good if not better food, hence 3 stars.

This atmosphere here was really nice! The food was good, we ordered the spicy jalapeño burger and the Warm Cheddar, Spinach, Beer & Bacon Fondue served with herbed Croustades, and it was all really good. The burger was good, but the buns were a bit thick for my taste. The Parmesan truffle fries was a great pairing with the burger. They have this chipotle ketchup that wasn’t very good imo, but other than that I would recommend.

Nice ambiance but not the best service. Went to have a quick bite and it took forever to get a server to come to our table. Once they did it was okay but that initial 20 mins seemed forever. Busy spot within the mall and was a decent dinner.

—Atmosphere, Service & Parking— J-FAT(Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern) is a new addition to the valley located at The Village. The restaurant is a good size, with seating indoors at the the bar and surrounding tables. Inside they have booths and regular type tables while outside in the patio they have some tables as well. J-FAT has a great modern look and feel; it’s definitely welcoming. At night lighting is dimmed which provides a nice feel. All in all service is usually fine, friendly, and kind. I usually sit in the bar area so I can only really comment on the people I come in contact with there but so far so good. The hosts at the front are always nice and easy to speak with! Parking is fairly easy at The Village(first hour is free) with the main garage. Make sure to ask about validation. —Food, Drinks, & Prices— Just as in the name, you’ll find American style fair here with some twists for some items. They have various appetizers, sandwiches and burgers, salads, flatbreads and main dishes like various seafood ones, pasta dishes, chicken dishes, and so forth. So far everything I’ve tried has been pretty good! They have a full bar, they have their own specialty drinks, and some good craft style beers. Prices for food(brunch/lunch/dinner) are in the $ 10 – 20 range(some items may be below $ 10 and a couple over $ 20). Drinks range in prices… beers seem to be at $ 5 – 15, wines from $ 5 – 30, and specialty drinks at $ 10+. J-Fat has both bottled beers and ones on tap and wine in different ounces and bottles. –What I’ve tried– Signature Grilled Santa Fe Caesar Salad($ 12, w/protein $ 18) — [Romaine, corn, salsa fresca, avocado, green chile caesar dressing w/grilled chicken]. Tasty salad that’s a decent size. Unique feature… the romaine is grilled as stated! You get to cut up your own lettuce. ‘Buffalo Style’ Certified Angus Beef Meatballs — [Wing Sauce, Garlic-Honey Ranch $ 9(Happy Hour price)], Sauce was flavorful and with some peppers around the dish has a nice kick to it. The meatball texture wasn’t too ideal to my liking, but it’s worth a try. Spicy Fried Chicken Sliders(3) $ 9(Happy hour price) — [Jalapeño slaw, chipotle aioli, parkerhouse rolls]. Tasty sliders with good sized chicken on them. These were served with their homemade chips, those chips are delicious! I haven’t had their burgers yet, but seem to be great here, they’re a good size and the fries that come with them are really good. —Additional info — — Happy hour is M-F from 3:00 — 6:00PM in the bar area. They do brunch on weekends as well from 10AM-2PM.

So much hate for this place, yet I don’t see why. Pretty pricey, but I mean look at the lavish brand new shopping center it is in. Haha screams money. Anyway, the décor is really cool. Rustic modern American feel. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was awesome. I wish I remembered his name, but he would check on us regularly and was very nice. The menu had some pretty cool tasty items. Fun twists on classics, but almost $ 20 for fish n chips is price you’re going to pay. Everything everyone ordered was delicious. The clam chowder wasn’t as thick but it was flavorful and had an olive oil drizzle. The house made chips were crispy and the shoestring fries were all kinds of flavorful. All the proteins were cooked to perfection. From the burger, to the bacon, to the fried chicken, to the fried fish, and finally to the ahi tuna. Yum.

Celebrated a wonderful Mother’s Day here. Unfortunately the food lacked all around, it can be described in one word, Salt. The sodium count in this place is off the charts. Not to mention the total lack of character I received my food, I could’ve easily made the stuff for less than half the price at home. As far as I’m concerned this place is probably just overpriced because they’re trying to cover all the expenses it cost to have a place at the village. The support staff is all over the place, I witnessed cross-contamination when a server picked up drinks on another table, walked over to my table and on the same tray put my to-go food next to these dirty dishes. The chicken and waffles is dry AF, and honestly who wants thyme on their waffles… I can’t even. The servers that I had were both completely on informative and made no attempts to make any suggestions. I will not be dining here again, the only reason this has a two star is because it’s Mother’s Day and I’m showing some leniency. Get it together. PS, kudos to the manager who agreed with me on the cross contamination, do something about it now.

The food is 5 stars. Delicious. Service is 2 stars. Party of 8 and it took us a long time to get our orders put in and things kept getting forgotten and the bill was wrong. One of the servers spilled a drink on my brother in law. Lol If the service improves I will definitely give this place 5 stars. This place could become our new family’s go to for birthday dinners. It has a lot of potential to be amazing if the service improves. Décor awesome. We will be back.

Great experience for being my 1st time here. I went here for my birthday with my gfs. Making a reservation was really easy and my table set up when we got there. The service was great! We had tons of questions and we got the answers we needed :) |Food| Beef stroganoff was really rich and flavorful. The beef was tender and juicy. A little too salty for me but it was good. I highly recommend this dish. Burgers was huge and delicious! A must have! It came with a side of slaw but it lacked flavor. It was just ok. Chilean sea bass was a little bland for my liking. Truffle fries was bomb! Huge portion and enough to share. Wow. It was my fave appetizer. Brussels sprout was crispy and flavorful. I think they added too much maple and came out too sweet. Corn bread was really good. It wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be. Very moist and must try. Bread pudding for dessert was just ok. Nothing special. Kids meal was a hit! They loved the chicken and fries. Comes with free drinks too! Next time I’m coming to try their brunch!

For a new place in the mall, this place isn’t too shabby. They have a decent selection of wine on tap that you can order by the glass or carafe, which is nice. The dishes are fairly large, but the couple next to us ordered a salad which was half a head of romaine with some toppings(literally, it looked like a burrito with toppings). Thought that was interesting… The brussels sprouts are ONPOINT! Get those. You will not be disappointed. Make sure you validate!

Last night I met a group of friends at Jimmy’s in Woodland Hills at «The Village». I love visiting the village as I often feel transformed from suburban life to a small city. I have been to Jimmy’s several times and my opinion is still the same. I have found that this restaurant is not great for large parties, they primary have booths. I had once visited with someone in a wheelchair and it was not the best experience. I have only been at night and have found the restaurant with dimmed lighting, I like that, I enjoy the tv’s that surround the restaurant and I enjoy the cocktails(although I find them to be weak). Last night we were a party of 8 and we were seated outside, this was the first time I got to experience outside seating and it was actually great as they have heaters. Service was slow… Let’s talk about the food… the shoe string french fries were great, I ordered a flatbread with blue cheese and fig jam, the blue cheese was a bit overwhelming so I basically ate the crust and peeled off the topping. I have had the brussels sprouts in the past and usually love them, they are made with maple syrup, last night there was too much of the syrup. My friend had ordered the chicken strips, for me they were over fried, and someone ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, they forgot the chicken All in all I would still go back if friends want to go for dinner but for me I wouldn’t choose this restaurant as my first choice.

A beautiful bar and restaurant in The Village. Everything is nice and new and clean. Friendly and efficient staff. It’s great to hang out here for drinks and some snacks at happy hour after work. I had a Sofia’s Skinny Partida Margarita, and it tasted light and refreshing. I also tried the Buffalo Style Certified Angus Beef Meatballs, and those were tasty, but I found them a bit too spicy for my taste. The Charred Brussels Sprouts were yummy and sweet from the maple syrup glaze. There’s an interesting head with antlers hung up on the wall outside the restroom. It’s definitely not a moose, but I was trying to figure out if it was a dolphin or porpoise with antlers. I’m thinking it’s a porpoise, because I think a dolphin’s snout is a bit longer. Haha.

If you don’t know, now ya know… After passing a few other restaurants serving breakfast, we found ourselves at Jimmy’s since they had a full bar available, also serving mimosas. I was also in one of those moods where I wanted a Jameson Diet, with my meal. We arrived reasonable early just after 11a, so we didn’t have to wait for a table. We were given the option of either sitting inside or outside; with the beautiful weather today we opted to sit outside. One of the things that I love about this restaurant is the ambiance. It’s very chill with a modern twist. Our server, Irving was awesome. Being very personable, he was also able to provide delicious recommendations that I ended up following. He has great customer service skills. Now let’s talk food… Totchos: Found on the appetizer menu, how can you not order this? The name alone leaves me with so much curiosity. This dish is when tater tots meets and marries nachos(clearly). Atop the crispy tots you will find sour cream, tomatoes and bacon bits-Deliciously filling. We didn’t finish this dish but I just had to try it. If you order this, ask for sausage gravy on the side!(Your welcome!) 4 stars. The«Bubba” — A recommendation from Irving, this dish consists of the best buttermilk biscuit I’ve everrrrrrrrr tasted! Holy cow. On top of this biscuit is a fried chicken breast perfectly seasoned, smothered in the homemade sausage gravy, plus 2 applewood smoked bacon strips… SO good. Big portions that can easily be shared between 2 people.(4.5 stars) The Green Acres Scrambled(modified) — with the addition of applewood bacon, avocados, tomatoes and onions this omelet already consisted of spinach, cheese and mushroom. This omelet has wayyyyy to much spinach, so if spinach is not your thang, ask for light veggies. (3.5 stars) We had such a pleasant visit for our first visit, we are looking forward to our next visit here!

I really enjoyed Jimmy’s. For me, the atmosphere was great. Décor is warming, particularly the green bottles with lights in them above the bar. Overall, a great feeling and good vibe from the other patrons there. I tried their calamari and chili and both were delicious. Yes, it’s pricey, but you also get to enjoy being at The Village afterwards and its part of the whole experience factor. I mostly come here for their drinks and for happy hour. They have a discounted menu of drinks available. Friendly servers and bartenders.

Service was awful! Our waiter had no sense of urgency… he was just walking around at a leisurely pace. We were missing plates and utensils and we had to ask him numerous times to get it. The food was mediocre also. I got the clam chowder and it was lukewarm. Also, the soup itself is very thin. When I think of clam chowder, I think of a thick, creamy soup… but not here. I also think they put truffle oil on top which overpowers the soup itself. I tried to scoop off the oil. My bf got the chicken and waffles and the waffles had no crunch to them. I won’t be back unless I am dragged back here.
