I had a great Father’s Day” lunch with my daughter at Hook Burger Woodland Hills, Food was fantastic, service was excellent with a smile I want to thank all of the employees for making it great, Elaine Hougain, Isabel Ordez, Melinda Scarano, Jimmy Lopez, Juan Trujillo, Blieder Matul, and Fausto Zenteno, what a «Great Team». This is one of the Best Burger places in the valley, I’ll be back

The service never dissapoints, but the food quality is not the same as it used to be. Cheese not melted, meat overcooked, missing cucumbers and extras requested. It happened on 2 separate occasions. They need to step it up if they’re still charging 7 to 9 dollars a burger.

Cheap for what you get. The patty is a bit more over cooked than I would prefer but I love the buns and the fresh ingredients!

I loved my burger! It was juicy and flavorful. Best of all it was not cooked medium well like other burger joints. It was a nice pink in the middle. I appreciated getting it lettuce wrapped. My husband and I both ordered the prime burger with cheddar and bacon, chipotle mayo, lettuce wrapped. I was a little disappointed they don’t have Caesar salad, but it wasn’t a big deal. I was merely surprised as it seems everyone has a Caesar salad on their menu. I definitely recommend the burgers here! I’ll be back. Update 6/5-I’m updating to 5 stars after trying their fresh albacore tuna melt, lettuce wrapped. Wow! I may never get a burger from here again. That’s how good their tuna is! It’s made from fresh albacore(nothing canned) and it tastes so fresh and amazing. I kept all the condiments, minus the extra mayo and the bun. Obviously, it was not served hot. Grabbed a bottle of their grey poupon Dijon mustard, some pickled jalapeños and I was super happy! You must try their fresh tuna salad!!!

I enjoyed the hook burger in Burbank more than this because it had a more upbeat ambience and much needed consistency to their taste. Ordered the pretzel burger. The cheese was super melted: imbedded on the burger, kind of how Burger King or McDonald’s does it. Should be melted, but not imbedded. Onions were sautéed, but not freshly sautéed, but were prepped hours before. No lettuce. Had to request they add lettuce.

This is one of my favorite places to get a nice yet super quick and delicious burger– I personally LOVE their bistro chicken sandwich– The level of professionalism here is awesome and It starts with the simplicity of ingredients. They make their own ranch and BBQ sauce in house(and they are unbelievably good too.) Their onion rings and fries are fantastic alone(and even more when dipped in their own house sauces,) I tend to ask for a LOT of the ranch because I like to bring a few home for later… Yeah– it’s that level of amazing. Want a local beer to enjoy while you devour your favorite burger? Try a stone IPA with your hickory burger– onion rings and house BBQ sauce slathered on as you enjoy your favorite sports game. They got it!(Make sure you bring your ID) This gastropub is a nice casual and very lively environment(with pretty quick turnover,) and is exactly what you were looking for in your attempts to find a classier burger. Bring your friends, mom and dad, grandma, or your girlfriend! The kids are guaranteed to love it. Get a shake and dip the fries in it. Why not? Try something different!(No seriously, live it up a little bit guys.) Five stars– no questions asked. These guys know what they’re doing.

Oh, Hook Burger, you have quickly taken over a soft spot in my heart and I’m so glad I’ve found you. First of all, the staff here is pretty awesome. Very attentive and super nice. As for the food, I haven’t been disappointed yet! On my first visit, I ordered the California burger and thought to myself, «now THIS is a California burger»! The avocado was super fresh like they just cut it in the kitchen and put it on my burger. The bun was slightly toasted on the inside(just the way I like it). And THEN, they had to go and add arugula on it. Whaaaaaat? I absolutely LOVE arugula! Add it to a California burger? Who does that?! Anyways, let me just stop right here because I just had lunch there today and I don’t wanna end up having dinner there too.

This place impressed me!!! I had never heard of hook burger and had recently passed by it, so I decided to check it out for dinner. It sort of reminded me of the Stand… though I can’t exactly decided which one I like better. I walked in and looked at the menu to decide long and hard for what I wanted. I ended up choosing the California fresh burger as well as a beer. The burger was really good and that avocado was so fresh!!! I had never been to Hook before, but I heard they used to deliver the food to your table, but now they just call your number. We had ended up sitting outside, so it was hard to tell when our order was ready. I kind of wish they would still deliver it because it turns into a fast food experience once you start calling numbers. But other than that, I will be back. It was good and I enjoyed my meal!

Food: I got the pretzel burger and it was quite delicious. Unfortunately you cannot pick how your meet is cooked but it still came out juicy. They give you about 5oz. of meat. Service: It took about 5 minutes for my food to come but overall it was quick. There are always employees cleaning the tables and picking up trash to keep the place clean. The employees were very well mannered and treated me respectfully. Setting: It can get pretty loud as there are a lot of people there. The noise level is roughly about the same as Starbucks or possibly louder. They have both outdoor and indoor seating for your pleasure. The tables outside are kinda sticky.(I think they only wipe it down with a wet towel)

I have driven by this place a few times and for some reason never thought to stop and try it out. Finally got the chance, and I really enjoyed my visit. This place is a casual fast dining experience. So you walk in, place your order with the cashiers, they give you a buzzer and then find a table for yourself. When your buzzer goes off, your food is ready for pick up. I had a delicious chicken club sandwich and appreciated being able to lettuce wrap it. You can actually order any sandwich or burger lettuce wrapped. My club was perfect. Tasty bacon, fresh avocado, and a pretty sizable grilled chicken breast, especially for the price. My bf had the prime burger, also lettuced wrapped. He added bacon and cheddar and said his burger was great as well. All in all a great dinner. This place is super clean, even the bathrooms. Friendly service and tasty burgers.

Hook Burger is ultimately just another fast food burger place, however the amped up service and the better quality food slightly set them apart from their competition. I’m still trying to understand why this niche business is needed. If you want fast food go to In-n-Out, if you want service at cheap prices go to Chili’s or Fridays. We stopped in because it was new and wanted to try out the burgers. At the end of the day, the staff really tried to please and put out an extra effort to make our experience great and it was, but the food unfortunately is nothing memorable. I’ll stick to In-n-Out when craving a burger, protein style of course!

Eating outside in February. Life in Californian is good. Their burgers are delicious. Their bread is amazing. And their ranch dressing is the best ever!!! They make it fresh everyday. I ordered sweet potato fries and it was all just super yummy. Customer service was phenomenal. We will absolutely hit the Hook again!

Not much negativity can be said for this place! The burgers are always cooked to perfection and they’ve always got something interesting on the menu that’s worth trying. The regular fries and sweet potato fries are a must try as well. I’m a big fan of the wide variety of beer they have. Burgers and beer are the best combo, after all! The service here is always impeccable and you can count on every employee to greet you with a smile and be nothing short of helpful. Love coming here!

Came here for the first time. I have driven past this location a bunch of times but never actually tried it. Yesterday was the day and I’m glad I gave it a chance. :) The place was packed but the crew here seemed to have it together and worked closely to get the lines moving. I ordered the angus burger, medium rare of course and it was delish! I’m glad that the patty wasn’t paper thin. Some keep saying that In-N-Out serves good burgers, I disagree! Their meat patty is so thin, I taste more bread and lettuce! Not here! You will taste the flavorful juicy meat and as a meatatarian, I approve! Quality, good service and reasonably priced I don’t see why you shouldn’t come here.

I love hook burger! They’re food is always consistent and their employees are always very friendly and patient. I’ve gotten their chicken sandwich and their maui burger, both are really good and never disappoint. If you can’t pick what side you want with your burger, get the trio!(Sweet potato fries, regular fries and onion rings). This location seems to always be busy. Grab a seat and stuff your face!

I’d say Hook is a cross between The Habit and Island’s. Good quality burgers at reasonable prices. I grabbed the trio(fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings) as well as the Maui Burger togo. Both the fries were average but the onion rings had a nice crunch to it. It’s a pretty big portion so I would avoid getting it unless you’re sharing with at least another person. The burger was pretty good but once I bit into it I noticed there was something missing. My burger was supposed to come with a pineapple salsa, which I later found in a separate container. After assembling my burger it has a really good flavor. The sweet pineapple went well with the salted patty.

This place is not bad. The food is pretty good. I got the Prime burger. It was delicious but I didn’t like the buns the used. It was a bit too heavy for me. The fries are to die for. They were so yummy. The décor is great and their to-go containers looked nice.

Came here last night and overall had a nice experience! This place reminds me like Smash burger but the burgers are definitely different tasting and I have to give it up to Hook Burger because theirs actually tasted better and not as greasy. The overall restaurant was pretty clean my only con was that there were a ton of flies flying around where we sat, not sure if someone left the door open but that was kind of a nuisance. The service was very good, there were people constantly checking up on us, asking to take our plates, if we needed anything else. The food: I ordered the pretzel burger which consisted of a pretzel bun, burger, cheese and caramelized onions and pickles. I felt it was lacking something so I did ask for lettuce, the lettuce did help with a little bit of the crunch. I also asked for a side of the ranch and bbq to give it a little more flavor. The french fries are soooo good, they were sooo addicting and dipping it into the ranch and bbq sauce made it even better, they have reallly good ranch dressing! The shakes were pretty unbelievable too, the oreo shake was fattening and just beyond delicious. All in all a great experience, their burgers were pretty inexpensive and overall good. I definitely will be back for sure!
