Destination Science-Woodland Hills

This camp was wonderful for my 6 ½ year old. For the $ 329 the kids make all sorts of interesting projects relating to the the theme of the week, they see first hand the meaning of many new words like kinetic energy and potential energy, they play games that are fun AND teach, they have splash time every day, and outdoor games, and every day my son brought home new items he’d assembled, or good old fashioned fun toys, and some not so old fashioned, like the mini target laser game. The counselors listen to parents, I witnessed them first hand listening to the kids. My son’s afternoon counselor was kind and patient and the kids, in turn, really seemed to listen to her. I felt like my son was safe at this camp and that it is very well run. It is extremely likely I will send him there again depending on our schedule next summer.

My son was bullied. The counselors were notified of the situation but it continued, so I ended up bringing him to work with me rather than taking him to Destination Science. Obviously this was a huge disappointment and I wish I had never chosen this camp.
